13 Sentinels is so worth playing!! I think the game that's been living on my wishlist since release and I think about the most has been Luigi's Mansion 3 and the Famicom Detective Club games. The urge to buy both every fall is so strong, but I try to prioritize spooky games I already have
I've had some fun watching people's Mario Maker levels, but I am just NOT the target audience for games that are all about creating things like that. It was the same when Little Big Planet came out, I was hyped for that, and then I learned the expensive lesson that I guess those games just aren't for me...😅 But yeah, this is a great video concept, you should definitely do more!
@jrrr9219 Not really interested, I like watching the crazy levels (which I'm in no way good enough to play myself), but finding and playing levels doesn't sound like my thing.
I don't play a lot of Metroidvanias (only on my second one for the Switch with the new Prince of Persia) but I can still 100% recommend adding Metroid Dread to your collection. I'm someone who can also easily get frustrated with a game and despite my many deaths (and there was a lot) there was only one section in the game that really got me worked up and I had to put it down for a bit. Overall it was an amazing experience, one of my top games in 2021 and I couldn't recommend it enough if you do want to give it a shot. As for games I'm missing, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Been wanting the game since release and it was just one of those situations where other games took priority. Was hoping it was going to get a discount for Mario Day, but that didn't happen.
Sparks of Hope is a great game and improvement over the first, it just released at a really bad time and didn’t sell well but it was right around the time bayonetta 3 and splatoon came out so a lot of people missed it
A game I really wanna pick up is Octopath Traveler. But it’s such a long game I don’t wanna be inundated with it. Square released a number of great JRPGs to the Switch but they’re all so long
You will love Metroid dread (I’ve only played super Metroid) you run thru it like butter and the boss battles are the best it’s one of those battles where you tell yourself there’s no way you can beat the boss but you realize you get closer and closer each try … the only thing I realized is that you have to play it handheld on the Oled.. if you play it on the tv the graphics degrade and the controller response is delayed (It was meant for Oled handheld) that’s something they don’t tell you
I love that your mom plays on a switch to, I got my mon Mario wonder and she was like a little kid. I walked in her room and she was kicking her feet playing as elephant princess peach😂😂, I plan to get her the peach game.
Loved this video! I collected most 1st party games last (because I was trying to get all the jrpgs first 😂) and still have a few more to get. Would love to see a part 2!
There’s hundreds on switch games on my wishlist but for me I’m surprise I don’t have any or the Kirby games on the switch . I definitely needs to pick up Kirby return to dreamland . I do recommend trying out Metroid dread is just fast pace and great controls/mechanics
Metroid dream is a gem of a game. Also that game is getting harder to find physically. What I’m hoping is most of these games comes in a Nintendo selects form. The simple Kirby, Yoshi’s, older Mario games get that treatment. But dread is a masterpiece and a good one to have in a collection.
“I’m scared that I am going to be bad at it” is such an absolute mood 😭 but I feel like I need to break that to play some games (though I get woozy with first person games, so maybe not those) Also Unicorn Overlord is 10000% making me want to play 13 Sentinels! It may be my next pick up eventually
I feel ya with the motion sickness. I was so bad at Fire Emblem that I’m thinking I’m gonna suck at Unicorn Overlord and Persona Tactica. At the same time I love Atlus games.
The Gen 9 DLC is amazing. It does improve the game a lot ( maybe not fps wise) but the second dlc is so good. It has a bunch of cool competitive battles, features, they both expand the pokedex and add cool characters akso the two dlcs have a continous story so idk where you’re getting the” it doesn’t expand on the story “ argument from. You should really try it!!
Coming from a Mario fan, I played U on Wii U and sold it afterwards and got U Deluxe for my birthday and sold that to get Mario Party Superstars. For the Mario + Rabbids series, I never really hated the Rabbids and really liked the crossover as its was Ubisoft's version of TMNT(with the sequel being when they went to space).
I have a lot of games that I'm missing that I feel I need: 1.Arms 2.Snippercuts 3.1-2 Switch 4.Metroid Dread 5.Metroid Prime Remastered 6-7.A lot of Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda games. 8.Octopath Traveler 9.Goat Simulator 10.Mario Party Superstars (it's the only Mario game from 2021 that I don't have, been wanting to get it for a long time and while) 11.Any Fire Emblem game, I'm really mad I don't have any of these games.
Some of your games (particularly the RPGs) are in my "pile of shame". There is so much, and it is impossible to by them all and seemingly play what one already has. I often see The Collection of Mana go for about $15-$20 used. I'd have to agree with your assessment of Mario Maker. It is easier on the WiiU with the gamepad, but support for it is long gone, and I have the Switch version as well, but outside the first two weeks after purchase, I don't spend much time with it.
Most of these are either understandable skips due to their quality, or just niche enough that i'd understand it, but the one that stands out and that I will always stand by, you GOTTA try metroid dread. Like, granted, Metroidvanias are my bread and butter and I'm currently doing a dread mode playthrough and know how to speedrun the first 2 worlds, but even without that, I firmly believe that Metroid Dread is both an amazing metroidvania for fans of the genre and also a perfect game for newcomers. It's just so good, everybody needs to try it
Metroid Dread, Metroid Prime Remastered are no brainers for the Switch. Period. Tears of the Kingdom is AWESOME... get it if u liked BotW. Pikmin 4, Mario Wonder, and SM RPG are good choices too. If you can get into Metroid play Metroid Fusion on the Nintendo Online thing its just as fun as Dread.
Metroid Dread is definitely the best out of all these games IMO, and despite how difficult it is to not die during the E.M.M.I. sections, the game’s actually super beginner-friendly.
Omg Metroid dread was my first metroidvania type game and I played it on easy, and it completely sold me on the genre and was such a fun experience! And I suck too trust me 😂 Highly recommend!
I'm about to give younthe greatest advice you ever got. You dont have to be good at Metroid Dread. Why? Cause once you play it and find out then patterns to beating bosses for instance you can master it. Its got the number one best replay value for a game on a Switch. You just have an arm cannon to shoot too so that's basically all you need to do other than jump. Also theres guides all over UA-cam to help you through it. The game offers more than you think too. For instance you can kill enemys with your grapple beam on those blue surfaces, not just grapple them on the walls. The controls are perfect too. People who pick up Metroid Dread though get intimidated because there's a lit of buttons you can press to do different things. Dont worry just stick to what you use the most. If you get yourself to like Dread, you'll want to play Fusion and Super Metroid and even Prime Remastered cause the Metroid universe is so awesome. Good luck!

Somehow I never bought any Metroid games on the Switch and I’m ashamed 😵💫

LOVE IT! I have a list like this too. It's super hard to buy everything and if I'm even slightly iffy on it, I skip it...at least for now.
Sparks of Hope is a great game and improvement over the first, it just released at a really bad time and didn’t sell well but it was right around the time bayonetta 3 and splatoon came out so a lot of people missed it
Incredible game, and the dlcs are phenomenal as well. It’s a terrible shame that it didn’t sell well, that game was all I played during fall 2022.
A game I really wanna pick up is Octopath Traveler. But it’s such a long game I don’t wanna be inundated with it. Square released a number of great JRPGs to the Switch but they’re all so long
Yoshi adventure are so fun tho ❤❤ and Donkey Kong too 😢😢😅😅😊

The Mario+Rabbids games are extremely underrated. Some of the best strategy games out there.
Loved this video! I collected most 1st party games last (because I was trying to get all the jrpgs first 😂) and still have a few more to get. Would love to see a part 2!

Cool video, Alex! There's a few games in here that I also haven't picked up yet, but have been meaning to add to my collection 😅

Honestly…..Metroid dread, sparks of hope, and 13 sentinels are all excellent. Sparks of hope is super underrated, it’s a great game

Sad there's no new DK or Starfox for Switch
Serius dulu lo sedih
Do you have any games you regret buying for switch?
Metroid Dread is definitely the best out of all these games IMO, and despite how difficult it is to not die during the E.M.M.I. sections, the game’s actually super beginner-friendly.
Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle is only available as a code in a box new at retail stores. The cartridge is available second hand though
Didn't watch just came to comment that if you don't have Metroid Dread that's a crime against humanity. Imo the best game on the switch.
Believe me, with the encouragement from the comments I’m finally going to pick it up sooner rather than later😂
Omg Metroid dread was my first metroidvania type game and I played it on easy, and it completely sold me on the genre and was such a fun experience! And I suck too trust me 😂 Highly recommend!
I’m gonna have to do it! Honestly, after making this video and hearing everyone’s encouragement, I feel like I HAVE to at this point😂
There's another Vanillware on the Switch. It's called GrimGrimoire, just in case.
Some obvious games missing from my collection: tears of the kingdom, Mario kart, xenoblade chronicles
Good video I look forward to more
One day, i will get the Atelier Ryza games... I swear!
Also the shantae games
Please be careful , I think Michael Myers is standing behind you!!

Still pulling for kos mos since 2017
What about rabbids party of legends.
You sound happy :)
Did you buy Goat Simulator?
And yet we NEVER FINISHED WOOLY WORLD TOGETHER >:( We didn't find da friends.
THE FRIEEEEEEENDS!! Someday, we must
Metroid Dread is worth it
Tried the Unicorn Overlord demo and didn't care for it. Didn't seem to have much gameplay. Lots of cutscenes and then watching the battles play out.
Buy 13 sentinels. Just do it.
Mario Wonder is way better than Mario Deluxe
