@@RUKALUKA That's always been Caleb's goal. Reverse time to crave out his past mistakes. Liam has stated as much in Talks Machina and in-game. It's the reason why he is seeking power and knowledge.
Watching Vox Machina was like watching the popular kids in school. They looked great and seemed to have amazing lives, but we weren't really a part of it; we didn't sit at their table. The Mighty Nein feels different. This group of misfits and very broken people feels like all of us. Vox Machina was the group to look up to and admire, The Mighty Nein is the one that accepts you broken and doesn't judge you for it. It's our group.
I don't know if I agree with you on that, but I can empathize with the sentiment. This campaign is just different from the last, in that we have been with the MN since lvl 2-3 while the previous one started at lvl what 9?
To go along with that, part of what I love about the Mighty Nein's story is that it feels like a series of mistakes that led to awesome results. Like someone tripping over a carpet, but when they go down, they tear something bad down with them. That's how they got into the war. They made 'mistake' after 'mistake', until they ended up in a position where they could do something, and instead of walking away like many would, they decided to do something. They wanted to fix it because now they knew they could. That's one of the story differences that I love. Vox Machina was amazing, but a lot of times it felt like they had a path, or knew where they needed to go. The Mighty Nein has no clue. They just stumble into issues and decide they want to help because "why not?". I love them both, but I really appreciate that aspect of this campaign.
For me. I love both campaigns. the different that I love Mighty Nein because they feel real, they talk to each other. They do feel real, they don't feel perfect but they'll do protect themselves, and their home i also love vox machina, its also different because sometime they don't have communications together, that's the reason why Scanlan felt sad, or the others. They seem perfect but they have a lack. Theres more I cant describe but I love Mighty nein more because that's the campaign I watch first and it made love dnd (even though I don't have a lot of friends so I just use my imagination) Its okay if people love Vox machina (im at ep 82) I still love them both but Might Nein is my favorite 😄
For all the nonsense and silliness these people bring us every week...just this video should be enough to help people see how talented and dedicated to these characters and to these stories these eight magnificent people truly are. God bless Team Critical Role. Holy shit, Liam was ROLLING when he was talking to Ezzik. Just ROLLING.
I feel like the time between the moment with the Hag and this, it has REALLY solidified the Found Family sensation for the M9. They have truly proven to eachother what they'd do for one another, and as a final nail in that coffin, they reached out and intervened for someone just like they did for eachother. Amazing 11/10 you really couldnt write this better if you tried.
Fjord, Beau, Jester, Veth, Caleb, Clay, Molly, Yasha, and the official 9th and final member of the Mighty Nein: Essek. Others might not agree with the list but it makes so much sense.
That's one of the most powerful and well-edited @CriticalRole edits I have ever seen. You knocked that out of the park, stunning, incredibly moving and great choice of music as always Alanna :)
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.... Oh who am I kidding Im gonna wear these tears proudly. What an amazing campaign with such talented people. And what an amazing video! Thank you for collecting these important moments like this.
This campaign is just the cast consistently breaking Matt. Which is so fun to watch. 🤣😂 like I dont think he expected any of that. He probably expected a fight, maybe for them to rat essik out... maybe to threaten... but not to be like hey bro, we are just as shitty and at times self-serving... but we are better together... and so can be too... welcome. His face was like... hmmmmmmm okaaayyyy why what? Love it. Great edit!!
I love The Big No! This video was a real treat to make. Hope you all enjoy it! Also a massive thanks to Soda Wax for helping me finding scenes, go check out her channel of you havent already!
welcome to the mighty nein a phrase that rallies the broken to a grander family... a better family... so we say with tears in our eyes and want for more and better... WELCOME TO THE MIGHTY NEIN BECAUSE WE ARE THE MIGHTY NEIN
god the swelling of the music just tied in so gorgeously with the emotions expressed and felt (by both viewers and cast!!). What a stunning video, thank you so much
My feels..... my poor feels... I just want to give Essek a hug... I was so glad when Caleb kissed him- that boy needs some affection! Awesome video ♥️ I started crying when Beau was talking about „leaving a town better than he found it“, with the music... 😭 and the Welcome to the M9 bit just... 😭😭😭😭😭 the moment in game was already so powerful, but your edit made it even more powerful.
Whooff... I've been sobbing almost the entire video and it feels like I've been watching for an hour... or years... and in a way I have. I can not begin to describe how much the Mighty Nein and Critical Role means to me. They've been like a family, a home to return to, who will accept you as you are, broken and all, and will be there besides you on your path to healing 💚 Thank you *so much* for making this video, it ripped my heart out and put it back with all the love of the Nein
I'm pretty sure Matt end episode there, because wasn't ready to respond to that as Essek. Because he didn't expect that everything will roll so smoothly without a fight ^-^
I get the sense that during the final battle or conflict of this campaign, everyone that they have “welcomed” into the mighty nein will come in to help them
I... get the sinking feeling Essek won't make it. A part of me thinks the M IX is going to find themselves in deep. Maybe the Assembly will frame them as the 'true' perpetrators behind the war, and Essek will choose that moment to 'dive on top of the grenade' so to speak. And I can't imagine the BQ will be all that merciful to being betrayed, both politically and religiously, by her own Shadowhand.
“I am your God, long may I reign. Eat of my fruits.” “I am of the Empire, but I am no FRIEND to the Empire.” “This is a garden. This is a good garden. A lot of manure, but it’s a good garden.” “It is a blessing to have family again.” “You need me. . .more than I need you.” “I have found more allegiance to you than I do any Empire or Dynasty. For I’ve not had any for either.” “You sound like all of us. *Welcome to the Mighty Nein.”*
This is an absolutely superb bit of editted video. It to my mind, perfectly encapsulates the essence of the Mighty Nein and what their journey has been so far. Keep up the good work. I hope to see more quality content in the future.
Man the fact that this video doesn’t have any dislikes, even a month in, really speaks volumes as to how beautifully made this was. Edit: Two months and still no dislikes. Bravo.
Gorram...this...just hits. Hits hard. Hits like a Mack truck, going downhill at 100 mph, fully loaded, no brakes. Because despite all of the wonderful chaos and joy these characters ended bringing into Exandria and to our lives... ...in my humble opinion, the Mighty Nein did the impossible: Showed us that no matter how shattered, how broken, or how helpless we think we are, that ordinary people can still overcome and defy the odds. Can still become the perfect imperfections, the jagged reflections in the broken mirror, and become not just extraordinary, but legendary. And as a certain Captain said on a show about a certain ship and her crew: That made these wonderful nerdy-assed voice actors...I dare to say... _mighty._ Because they became our Big Damn Heroes. And showed us who we truly are along the way.
I've realized that with the Mighty Nein animated series that someone might be able to recreate this with scenes from the show, and if I watch that, I'll be bawling the whole time.
Fucking. Ugh. Thanks for making me ball like a little girl. Fucking supercut of the most emotional moments. I was not prepared to deal with how much that affected me.
This is absolutely amazing. This is why I watch and listen to hours and hours of these goofballs every week. I just wish the players in my campaign would roleplay this well. 🤣😂
This campaign is gonna end with someone saying “Goodbye Mighty Nein” or something like that and I’m going to shatter
Caleb if he possibly time travels? He is the one that created the group's name, fitting that it would leave with him. :(
Wet Willy hol up Caleb time travelling... this escalated quickly
@@RUKALUKA That's always been Caleb's goal. Reverse time to crave out his past mistakes. Liam has stated as much in Talks Machina and in-game. It's the reason why he is seeking power and knowledge.
Or one of them (minus nott) has a child in the future rand they “welcome to the mighty nein :)” them
Why must you hurt me so?

Vox Machina is the popular kids and The Mighty Nein is the depressed dropouts lmao

I think that the point of the mighty nein is that it isnt a number of members anymore but the type of people in it
They aren't nine they are nien
👀
Oh guys in the past who know not what’s ahead I love you! It gets worse but it gets better I promise

Sam crushed it with that ending line, and this recap has redoubled its impact for me. Thank you so much for putting this together!!
Fjord, Beauregard, Caleb, Veth, Jester, Caduceus, Yasha, Mollymauk . . . and now they truly are nine.
Wow, you were almost as quick as Flando...
Only real ones get this comment
All hail lord Flando
The swelling music and welcome to the mighty nein collection really got me haha

The fact you went and found all these and edited it the way you did shows you're a truly compassionate critter.

OKAY DIDN'T EXPECT TO WEEP TONIGHT BUT OKAY
They're amaizing and I love them, but no one gonna comment about that fricking STONE t-shirt Travis have on in one of the first episodes?! 😂

Great edit, the flashes back to the little moments they grew to highlight their similarities was perfect
I like how no one has disliked this video compilation. Shows how amazing they truely are.
rewatching this now ....... still hits. hits even more perhaps.
So does this officially make Essek the Allura of Campaign 2?
Since she's in the campeign Im not sure thats possible
Yes. I think that is an apt description.
@@SatiricalFey technicalities. She isnt a major player in this campaign. I'd say Essek is in her role for C2
Unless Liam's character seduces him. Then he's Gilmore.
@@raeriddle4785 Here many moons later: Is Gilmore
thanks for the feels, and thanks for the reminder the Mighty Nein is just a Group of misfits trying to better themselves for they are simple Mortals

I really want there to be an entire comic of just this moment. That would be great.
And finally, they were nine (with molly).
Had to comment to say, Amazing edit! Now let me go back to crying over this beautiful content!
Man the fact that this video doesn’t have any dislikes, even a month in, really speaks volumes as to how beautifully made this was.

Such an amezing compilation, good job putting it together. It really makes the moment more grand than it already was
Such an amazing video! Thank you for putting this together! This made me so emotional!
THIS IS THE FIRST VIDEO I'VE FOUND ON UA-cam WITH ZERO DISLIKES, WAY TO GO CRITTERS
I wonder how many times I'll watch this today, this week, this year? It'll be a lot. Perfect video
nice, this is like a movie trailer for campaign 2
I spent most of this video crying a little bit, but by the time I got to the title drop, I was just full-on sobbing.
I've realized that with the Mighty Nein animated series that someone might be able to recreate this with scenes from the show, and if I watch that, I'll be bawling the whole time.
the power of found family, making everwhere they go better then when they found it
Oh wow what a great highlight compilation with amazing music!
