It sucks to think about, half the group had these meaningful moments with their families, and then there's Yasha, Fjord and Bo who are just like "Yea, we gonna do this."
Jester, Veth and Caduceus fear for what will happen to those they leave behind, because they had something they came from, and to go back to. For Yasha, Fjord and Beau, the Mighty Nein is, more or less, the sum total of everything they care about, that they have a stake in in the world. They have to believe they'll all make it through, and they might be the most ready to give everything to ensure that.
I agree with Zombie, but I also would've really liked if in this episode Beau had like written a letter to Dairon telling them the situation. Not a goodbye letter but just something to let them know the stakes they're facing and that some or all of them might not be coming back, and that if she doesn't make it for whatever reason to take care of TJ for her and make sure nothing happens to him. And that when the time comes he could learn about her from Dairon/The Soul and everything she and the Nein did for Exandria including the current fight to save everyone and everything even the gods from this force.
Yeza: This fortest you're talking about, is it a danger? To me? To Luke? To us? Veth: Yes. Yeza: Do you think you and your friends can stop it? Veth: ... No. Yeza: Do you think anybody else can? Veth: ... No. . . . Veth: I think, someone has to try... That part always get me...
Man, I had to take 50 minutes to watch this because I kept crying and needing to walk away or turn to a different tab. Caleb's "You are not my cat. My cat is dead," and then Ashley's face when Caduceus says he'd like for his body to come back to the Blooming Grove is possible just... those two moments killed me the most.
It's been couple of days since I've watched those moments and I still can't stop thinking how emotional they've got me. I can't imagine how would I feel if something goes wrong in the fight with BBEG :(

OOOOOH I thought this was the end of season 2! Jesus, ok I still have time to catch up. It's sad that the others have to say good bye, and potentially never have their loved ones see them, but then. There's Beu, Caleb, Fjord, and Yasha, who have no one but the family they found, and that might all be taken from them if this goes badly.
Some are saying that this is not the end of the campaign, but I am confident that it is. My theory on what is going to happen efter fighting the tombtakers is that they will split up and tie their own loose ends. Veth will retire from big adventuring with Luke and Yeza and just go on small adventures alone, or with Jester once in a while. But will shortly after return back home to spend time with her family. Jester and Fjord will just travel the world, from the seas to mountain peaks. They wont go out to save the world, but instead just explore and enjoy their company together, and they willprobably have the most contact with the rest of MN than the others because how much they'll move. Beau will continue working as an expositor for the cobalt soul with Yasha as her "body guard". With them together they would be able to archive the deepest findings which other expositors hasn't been able to uncover. Caduceus will return home to the blooming grove with his family and help out to and heal the rest of the forest. Caleb will unfortunately have the least happy ending of them all, but it wont be catastrophic. He'll walk the path of a vigilante, confronting Trent and the assembly for their actions and abuse. If possible, fix the corruption from the inside. Not only that, I also believe he'll loosen the tension between the Empire and Dynasty. It's still possible for one shots to take place after the campaign where everyone reunites once again to help one out from their troubles.
It comes to what happens during the final showdown. I really hope that everything would be realistic as possible. I am not a big fan of plot armor. I am ready to see somebody from M9 go for good. Ofcourse I am rooting for them, but if the survival of the whole group is at the cost of a cheesy end, no thanks. Having that said - I think Matt's got it under control and we are in good hands!
Great summary that I agree with, but wasn't able to write down this precisely. I believe that there will be some one-shots to go through some of the arcs (Fjord's, and especially Caleb's)... Or maybe Matt's pulling an amazing twist to make MN finally feel the price, and if they survive... well, there are still great evils to fight. But I'm not convinced of that...
I feel that they are gonna choose to do another time skip with this. Kinda like C1 with “One Year Later...”. Each pair will go off to see the world, or go home to their families Edit: I was wrong... damn. Well, time to wait for C3
There’s a hope that Caleb stays to watch over Yeza and Veth, protecting this new family instead of continuing to pursue his past. He shields them from the prying eyes of the empire, and after a while he fulfills his promise of training Luke in the arcane. What starts with one pupil expands, and as time passes, tales start to spread across Wildemont. Of a lone wizard, trained by both the wills of the Empire and the Dynasty. Outside of either, his influence grows. He gives up the flames of wrath that still burn in his heart, and instead light the sparks inside the children of Exandria. No more souls need to be sacrificed to the Waldhexe. And none will be.
Yasha, Fjord, and Beau's whole "Let's get this done." attitude is far more sad. They refuse to see any outcome other than victory, but even then you can tell they are willing to make whatever sacrifices necessary to guarantee that their friends make it home, with or without them. No one but them seems to recognize this either, save Caleb maybe, and I think that is easily one of the most beautiful bits of acting I've seen.
Well today is the day this beautiful story comes to a close. I'm watching this video simply to help cope. These characters and this story is hands down the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
I feel like I am loosing a dear friend, I wish I could watch their story progress forever, but at the same time I feel that the mighty nein deserve their peace even though I know that they arn't real. I am more invested in this group of nerdy voice actors and their characters than I am in any other show, book, or story.
@@TheGreatBlub57 I agree. But it hits home for me As I see so many facets of my personality in each character. It was a beautiful ending to a beautiful story. I eagerly await campaign 3 to see what trouble they cook up next
I haven't been able to watch since right before they made plans to steal the amulets from Trent. Been meaning to start catching up but somehow this popped up in my feed and I was hella scared for a moment. Didn't watch the video with sound, just clicked and instantly paused it to comment how shook it got me. Oh what these games of d&d played by a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors can do to us lmao. I'll likely end up back here once I've caught up to either relive these moments in grief or joy. Fingers crossed it's the latter.
I mean realistically we should consider the possibility that like (SPOILERS FOR CAMPAIGN 1) Orcus or even Hotis in the last campaign, Uk'Otoa can just be an evil that is meant to be kept repressed rather than to be defeated, and Trent can be like Sylas: an entity to be officially offed during a special one-shot while managing to have gotten away during the main campaign. Then again, it could also be that those two are treated as parts of a 'loose-ends arc' before Tharizdun makes a resurgence and becomes the ultimate end boss. Endless possibilities I guess, but if we interpret the sentiments of the cast it seems like they are anticipating the approaching end of the campaign already.
I think that in C1 they up and told viewers when the last arc was coming up, so, I think they would do it here, too. Probably. There are many loose ends, so I'd imagine this is more like a...hmm...Thordak or Raishan-equivalent fight. Maybe Penultimate. There are still a lot of things to cover and I don't think that they're gonna rush it to the end, either.
I get this sinking feeling that, by the end of this, Beau and/or Caleb are going to switch sides against their will and the rest of the M9 are going to have to kill them.
I am almost certain that one of them... unless both of them will get mind controlled *or something like that* and they will severely damage their mates, forcing m9 to kill them or at least knock them out. Hope I am wrong!
I've already seen this, so why do u have 2 make me cry like that, huh matt? 😭😭😢😭😭 like Liam once said: "it's complete fantasy so why am I so scared?!" Well for me it's tears!!

I know a lot of people are expecting/convinced the MN campaign is going to end soon, I certainly hope not, it feels too early for me personally (not here to argue about what's left to resolve, it just personally feels too early for me) Last campaign they seemingly took care of the big bad around the same level only for a thread more subtly place by Matt to pick up afterwards. I've noticed some possibilities throughout this one, maybe subtle or not so subtle. Regardless, what matters is that cast and Matt are enjoying themselves and that they feel satisfied with how things wrap up. But I still think we got at least another 1/3 to go, which if i recall correctly some of the cast have stated similarly.
@@jordankelley8894 We've also seen them (through a guest character goal) destroyed something belonging to a cult of Tiamat. I don’t think that this will be the end of the campaign, but I do believe we’re reaching a turning point. Veth is definitely gonna stop adventuring after this. So Sam is gonna make another character. I feel like Matt might do another time skip like One Year Later... from Campaign 1 We can see each of them doing some personal exploration.
