  • A common pelvic health misconception is calling the pelvic diaphragm the pelvic "floor". Pilates Anytime teacher Claire Sparrow shares why the pelvis does not act like a solid floor, but rather dynamically, responding to your every movement. She reminds us that taking care of your pelvic health is key to your body remaining sharp and flexible.

Hello, I wondered if you have heard of the Emsella? It is currently Scotland's only pelvic floor chair and gives life changing results.

Hello Claire- Thank you for this chat. I am currently undergoing PT for separated ATV muscles from heavy lifting. The exercises I have are Yoga & Pilates. Do you have any suggested exercises? My favorite is placing a soccer size air filled ball in my lap. I place my fingers on top and breath with the ball. As I press into the ball, I exhale and pull in my core muscles for 5 seconds. Then inhale with the ball, as I relax my fingers, expanding my belly area. Kind of feels like the ball is breathing! A good visual focus for me and something I can do while watching TV or a You Tube Video. ~ Diane
