Backup, overlap and the ability to easily move essential sets of kit from one prepping configuration to another. Smart. 😊
Cheers for watching, enjoy your day. Soon be Christmas 🤣👍
Those are good kits there, especially the EDC and Medkit. Nothing crazy, just good solid stuff.
Well done Alan and thank you.
No, thank you for watching 👍. It's appreciated.
I make my own bellows from dollar store items sold as back scratchers, hotdog holders, magnets. They all use the same extendable tubing. Helikon-Tex can call their pouch by any sexy name they want. However for me, the difference between a survival kit and SERE kit is two points: Survival kit is when you want to be found by anyone, a SERE kit is when you are escaping the enemy and therefore needs to have methods that don't attract attention as well as items to escape from bondage. I like the strap for when you need to quickly ditch your main ruck you can don the pouch in seconds without having to fiddle with it on your belt.
I'm old enough to remember SERE being E&E. However, even in that context there is still a signals element so you can be found by friendlies. Cheers for watching and enjoy your day.👍
Back scratcher?.... Brilliant! I have used an old telescopic antenna but they tend to fail (bend or flatten). The telescopic back scratcher is many times heavier duty. Closed up, it will be a lot more difficult to damage beyond use. Thanks mate. 👍👍👍
I'd recommend the Rovyvon series of small torches, I have the A5 and it's great, 650 lumens.
When summer's finished it will be back on with my house key and Leatherman Micra.
In summer I keep it in my Vanquest Husky pouch and use it for camping, as a headtorch and lantern.
If things were to go wrong and you couldn't find batteries, I'd rather have something I could recharge using solar and powerbanks.
If it works for you then that's all that matters. I'm still on the fence with rechargeable torches. If the internal battery goes tits up your knackered. Cheers for watching, it's appreciated 👍
