My everyday carry for a few years now has been an Esee Izula in a neck carry configuration, along with a Case Trapper in my pocket. I found that the more simple I keep it the better.

Speaking of small fixed blade knives, i bought a Boker lil friend micro and the more i use it the more i love it. It's a VERY small 440a fixed with g10 scales and kydex sheat, you can find it around 25€. Stupid cheap, takes a razor edge easyly, very small and light but is a robust 2.7mm full tang knife with a 30mm cutting edge. Once you are used to it, you can do almost all daily tasks (I also do some carving sometimes). People don't get scared when you use it in public. Most importantly, it won't break the bank. Check it out!

    Happy Birthday, Taylor!
The only disagreement I have is about steel. My environment is always hot and always humid, and often salty too. So I do have steel preferences that have to do with the functional demands of my environment. I'll take 14C28N, 12C27, or N690 over almost anything else, because they are all very stain resistant, take great edges, and are easy to sharpen. In the supersteel department, Magnacut gets the nod over everything else, because it's so stain-resistant.

for those wary of propolis, the NIH has a metastudy freely available online, and while most of the Supplement claims manufacturers make are under-studied (thus far lots of promising animal studies, fewer human studies), it looks like the anti-microbial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing properties ARE well studied, and it's pretty conclusively a good thing to have around for wound care. Better than other topical agents? I have no idea, and it doesn't look like studies have gone into that. But it's definitely not crazy to keep around.

A block of alum will stop bleeding within seconds. All you need is water, or virtually any other liquid in an emergency. We used Alum in oral surgery all the time. Propolus is great as long as you are not allergic to bees, and provided you didn't fail to tighten the cap so that it spilled or evaporated in your bag. If allergic to bees, it can be deadly. Not arguing, just offering an alternative. I like that glow bead for your knife. I could use one on the usb charging cable for my phone by my bed. Would eliminate fumbling around in the dark trying to find it and plug it in. THANKS for this video!

Propolis is no lie the bomb. I make my own since we raise honey bees. But just the propolis alone with out the alcohol to make tincture you can put on cuts and such and it helps. Those in the Bee world call it bee glue as it is a sticky mess and what bees use to glue everything together.

Great tips! If not allergic to bees, propolis is amazing. If you don't have that, just use honey, Menuka tends to be the fave. Definitely secure a knife in a sheath or some other device before tightening a lanyard/bead. Otherwise, use heavy gloves with metal mesh.

For the Lock Pickers! You can get a set of universal keys to all the different vehicle models, I had a car that the door key broke on and didn't have a second key. So I bought a universal keyset, and it was stupid simple to use in place of a key.

If in the outback and short of first aid then pickle juice for burns is pretty good. For blade sharpening maintenance when the proper gear is missing or lost then use the bottom of a coffee mug to hone back to razor form. I also keep alcohol wipes in my wallet too.

Happy Birthday Taylor! I might add to the knife section, since you are relaxing the supersteel wave, that a carbon steel contributes to the fidget factor by maintaining a nice edge and working patina, well, steel that is most likely found in fixed blades and slipjoints, and also gives you the vintage vibe in an urban carry
