The coin-spin between Ne and Si is why INFPs (and INTPs) make excellent innovators, because they are disruptive but also based in establishment. That combination in balance means that they naturally riff/iterate off the whatever already exists in art, tradition, etc. They exist outside the box, but they are almost always box-adjacent, which means that even those inside the box might actually get/appreciate what they bring.
Awe, Joel is a feeler and NFP….. you see us all Joel thank you! Also, Antonio knows what she’s doing her holistic approach is so so soft and kind while delivering real big truths. That’s why you both are rare beautiful butterflies ❤🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋.
This explains so much! My 3 year old not happy working in a call center! My version of effective was did I connect with the customer? How were they left feeling about the company and the efforts I made to help them over how much time was invested on the call? I also recognize that periodically blow up my life...possibly because the copilot needs to get out there and explore. The 10 year old freaks out when I do this! I've been doing some therapy using internal family systems...it's kinda like how you describe the ages and values of my parts.

Very well done entp, this is the first time I've heard entp somewhat really comprehend Fi. Fi like Ti is a truth seeking function, but it seek truth in the subject realm rather than the object realm. Very smart to compare to own Ti and simply replace the goal with something animate rather than inanimate ✍ and yes, if you look at Fi heros, we rarely believe in our feelings. That's why we tend to go against our feelings alot, which may look weird to many people. If we feel like something is a bad idea, we might still do it. It's like exposure theraphy, and what all Fi find is that we need to dare being cringe, because common for souls seems to be - that they are all cringe. Sure, cringe in different ways, but we are truly cringe when authentic. It's hard work, but integrate the cringe and you are free
as an INFP i didnt think the talk about the driver function not being noble all the time was ok. I realise at times I can be a bit of a shit and sometimes that is deliberate
What's distressing to me is how biased towards INFPs we are without realizing it. Like in spite of INFPs specifically having this tendency, as you guys mentioned here, of being unable to empathize with or be sympathetic towards people who aren't like them or who share different values than them, we actually view them as particularly empathetic, even though the definition of empathy is the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another. We're creating a narrative in which the definition of empathy is only caring about people who are just like us while we meanwhile overlook the types (INTJ, ENTJ etc.) who are capable of caring about people even if they are different from themselves and thus are genuinely empathetic in the traditional sense. This is incredibly dangerous and I struggle to understand the motivations of whoever are pushing these narratives and how they are able to get away with it
How are INFPs UNABLE to empathize or sympathize with people? It’s like I’ve only known INFPs who were that and never an intj who was that? Fi is putting yourself in someone’s shoes, you feel what they feel, that’s not to be confused with Fe (EXFJ), they don’t necessarily feel it themselves they just help the people because they know they are in need. That being said, it doesn’t mean ALLLL INFPs are empathetic or any type in that sense, don’t inherit all the characteristics pushed upon them. But that IS a characteristic that most INFPs (I know) have. I don’t know what you are trying to say here, what bias are you talking about, most people don’t even like INFPs to call them empathetic.
I think INFPs are quick to recognise IF they can emphasise with people or situations and will readily admit they have NO IDEA if they cannot recall similar memories which would help. I think we'd rather say that than pretend we can emphasise and understand. For example I have absolutely no empathy with people who volunteer to join the military because for me its them choosing a role which is either killing torturing or injuring people, or helping people do that. Ive little sympathy for adults voluntarily doing stupid shit...I do IF the situation is forced upon them. I think youre trying to make it an empathy contest tbh which I dont know what it would achieve if you said INTJs for example are more empathic
@@skyblazeeterno nope I'm just bringing attention to the fact that INFPs are often inaccurately assumed to be especially empathetic while INTJs are often inaccurately and calously assumed to lack empathy. In my experience, INFPs are by far the most likely type to view empathy as a competition and I see it all the time where especially the women will dehumanize people just for a perceived lack of empathy even if they are actually not unempathetic. They're really dangerous and arrogant in my experience
Is obsessive thinking about a hurt, to the point of overwhelm, be part of infp? Can it be so strong that it clouds everything else? If so, what do you have to focus on to correct it?
I think thats the Fi Si loop and to get out of it you need to get the En function involved - see more of the world even locally, see new people, try new things...not to succeed or even enjoyment but just to see what they are like
Beebe calls the third function "the Eternal Child" because it stays weak for life. Socionics agrees with Beebe. Calling the Child (Mobilizing) weak and inert. Yet the Inferior grows up into an adult. Which your car 🚗 model does not show. The Eternal Child forever relies on others to take care of it. And should only be used the way a child would use it. But not professionally. So going on hikes is great for Si for an INFP. But then using Si professionally would not work. But getting a degree in counseling would grow up Te nicely.
Talking about Introverted feeling in that way is to basic. Don't forget we are dealing with Fe all the time it sounded like you was talking about Fi as a 10 year old.
We see this series as not theoretical, but practical and actionable - so, talking about Fi this way was about implementing strategies to increase self-love. In all sincerity, I would love to know how you set high expectations for your Fi to master self-love. It may be very helpful to other INFPs who struggle with self-esteem, self-value and self-love. -Antonia
@Personalityhacker listened to the introverted feeling part a few times. I made a mistake it was very good. What confused me was the way you spoke with no emotion. I would ad 1 thing that kind of will stop you as an INFP making some of the other mistakes discussed on the podcast. Do not believe your morally correct think about and learn first. I know this was kind of mentioned but I would put this as the main mistake.

Socionics shows Ni is intuition of time. So recollecting the past and visualizing the future is Ni. Correctly defined Si is present sensory intake from the 5 senses. It is not past focused. INFP (EII) have - Ni constantly turned in in the background. - Ni is past focused.
I believe only Si and Se can see the future personally, instead I think Ni is creating a future with imagination, like how Ne create space with imagination. Si and Se is hallucinated time and space Ni and Ne is imagined time and space Ni heros use Se and Si to see the future but adds a large chunk of imaginary future on top of it. Ni doesn't reach their goal and future through sensical means, it fake it until they make it. Aka pure Ni is completely disconnected from the past imo, instead the Ni makes up a new time and starts to live it. The funny thing is that it works, because it's casual, and if not too nonsensical it will manifest rather successfully by giving one unconditional confidence and faith. The past would say instead that it was completely unrealistic, and it was unrealistic, but Ni transcends time, it doesn't need to be fully realistic
Socionics shows Fi is ethics. Si is feelings. The programming of Fi results in Si feelings. Healthy INFP makes decisions attached to Fi ethics first not Si feelings. If they are feeling cold, tired, angry that is Si not Fi. Fi morals is attached to ethics. Ti principals is attached to logic.
This I would say is accurate, Si contains both animal feelings and animal thoughts Fi + intuition instead (INFP have strong Ni and Ne) is about metaphysical feelings, like the feeling of an out of body experience or existential download. It's the feelings of the soul, and remain also after bodily death of Si body (being in heaven is a good loving and peaceful feeling of authenticity)
Yea too negative. Like f you. You know. I shouldn't have to changefor others. Yes I can inquire into my motivations. I will try that but I shouldn't have to cater to others either. I like what they daid abour Si though. That was great.

INFP on the banana: yes
Ha - This was chosen by a team member and I was curious to see how it landed. :P
