How do these fibreglass jet boats handle river running? any impact damage? In British Columbia aluminum seems to be one of the only options for jet boats
They don’t have any where near the impact resistance, you just have to be good at avoiding rocks and good at fibreglass repairs! In NZ we had a number of manufacturers making fibreglass hulls from the 60s onwards so there are plenty of them kicking around NZ. This particular boat is great in shallow water but has quite lazy handling compared to modern hulls

Have you thought about puting a trim plate on the back of your boat? It would stop the porpoising that you are getting
Yeah it’s on the to do list, boat is completely original bar the steering wheel and an alternator. Even still has gated steering. Gets the job done!
