- So as I mentioned in the last video, we got a load of parts from @THQAutomotive to fit to the van. In this episode we have a look at what we got and make a start fitting them.
We start off with changing the front bumper for a Caravelle one with Caravelle headlight, fit some THQ rear light and fit the Navis Wheels.

I’d have gone with Dark Grey for the bumper, they come from the factory as dark grey, not black as everyone thinks. It’s a subtle difference but looks a lot more OEM
It'll need a wiring mod/loom made to convert T5 single bulb headlights to make the twin beam Caravelles stay on both beams. Or it'll just switch hi beam to dipped all the time.

@@DanChambersDAC its fairly straightforward really, take dipped beam wire and high beam wire from one of the lights, I used posi taps to keep the loom in tact, use the wires to switch hi and lo beam relays. To stop them switching hi to lo, one on one off, fit a diode from hi beam relay to switch the lo beam relay on so that they can both be on at same time. Loads wiring diagrams around.
For me I would have went colour coding the bumpers but now after seeing it in the black it works. Will look better once dropped. Also the head lights I would leave the orange bulbs as it keeps the commercial look normally I would say put the silver bulbs.

Van is getting better and better 👍. Personally I would have gone for headlights with a black inside. These are a bit to shiny.

It’s looking really good but those tail lights will need changed again when you do the tailgate conversion as the lights are a different shape (inside bottom is square on the tailgate and rounded on barn door lights) great channel though.

I upgraded to caravelle lights a few years ago it will interesting to see what bulbs your going to use I have tried four different types of bulbs and the lights are basically crap you could wire up for both dip and main beam to wired together on main beam . Why didnt you go for the new THQ led T5 lights?
Also the rear lights are different if your fitting a tailgate from barn doors , but they will work though keep the good work up
I’ve been considering upgrading to the caravelle lights, I assume you wouldn’t recommend bothering?

not sure what's the best the H4 standard lights are hopeless, in my Caravelle lights i put two different types of LED bulbs, one set failed MOT on main beam, tried 100watt bulbs but you have to be careful as they can burn lenses, standard bulbs are shit. i have Osram night thingys at the moment. THQ do a new LED light might be worth trying which i am considering

Those lights won’t fit when you change to tailgate will they? Where were the caravelle lights from as I can’t find them on transporter HQ 🤔
The THQ lights are designed to fit both Barn door & Tailgate. The Caravelle headlights were from eBay.

I've just bought some delivery mileage (taken from a conversion) T6 suspension, with the intention of replacing my worn out old T5 suspension.
If I was to keep the standard struts, what springs would give me a more comfortable ride?
I'm not after going very low, only running 18" wheels and will be driving the van everyday, so would like to get rid of that crashy, wallowy feel 😊

Hi Sean, Apologies I can't remember! I played with both nozzles on a piece if scrap and decided which one I liked that way.

Dan, if your changing the barn doors for a tailgate those rear lights will be wrong. 😬

It looks so much different and better with this bumper. This is my style of modification, simple and subtle that most people wouldn't notice 👌
