Man, putting myself in the position of those men in the boats it’s incredible to think of what they did. Navigating the pitch black Everglades, water filled with lord knows what, skin coated in jet fuel, hoisting injured bodies up into their boat. Bless ‘em.
God bless men like Robert and Raymond, putting themselves in harm's way to rescue others. That's what we need more of, Americans like them-- we've got enough spoiled athletes and movie stars.
I am not American, but I am so proud of these two men. May God bless them wherever they are. Great souls, they were then! We need more real men like them. We have enough spoiled brats on this planet.
The two men on the boat actually witnessed the plane overhead and told the NTSB that it wasn’t more than 100 ft over them when it passed over them. That’s one of the reason they were so quick to the scene.
The reason they got there so quickly is because they was already near where the crash was, then seen/heard the crash. Them seeing the plane over head or not has nothing to do with how they was there so quickly. It's not like they chased the plane as it flew. That's impossible even if they tried.
I was done like that hunting on top of a mt. one winter day. It was a twin engine private plane I ran hide behind biggest tree in area it was no more than 75’ above tree tops. Few days looking for emergency FAA reports they landed about 35 miles away they was ice up & just about crashed it was Pilots personal family aboard. I walk fast to my Bronco to use my Bag style cell phone to call it in. It happened that long ago. Family was very lucky to made it in to Local airport was the ones told me how to check for the FAA reports. Flying out Florida going to Pa. Had to been in early 80’s. Couple more feet down they would have crashed right within 100 yards of myself.
Serling's 1980 book From the Captain to the Colonel: An Informal History of Eastern Airlines, the claim that wreckage from Flight 401 was installed and later removed from other Eastern aircraft was false, and no Eastern employees had ever claimed to have seen or believed in the alleged ghost sightings. Yeah expect apart from the crash that’s all made up
Happy for the cat, sad for the brother, but hopefully he and the cat became good friends. I’m also sad for the sister, about her experience before her demise but hopeful she’s in paradise, safe and happy with Jesus! ❤
My aunt worked for Eastern Airlines back then and the stories of the haunting in all the airplanes that EA furnished with parts of 401 were a thing. The most interesting part was that people didn’t know until stuff started happening that there were parts in the aircraft. The hauntings always happened when there was something dangerous the crew needed to know.
Yep never happened the parts were never fitted to another plane she’s full of crap here is proof this is all made up Serling's 1980 book From the Captain to the Colonel: An Informal History of Eastern Airlines, the claim that wreckage from Flight 401 was installed and later removed from other Eastern aircraft was false, and no Eastern employees had ever claimed to have seen or believed in the alleged ghost sightings. So you’re either lying or your aunt made it up. Please use common sense next time you claim a company salvaged parts from a farking plane crash on other planes.😊
My uncle was a no nonsense ex-military guy who worked for United Airlines back then. He knew many of the people who saw the apparitions and absolutely believed them, which surprised me.
No he didn’t because not one employee saw nor mentioned a ghost nor were the parts reused. A google search not only debunks this whole story but also proves you a liar lair pants on fire.
When a random person says that they've seen an apparition, we should always ask for their proof. However, when a military person says they've seen one, we gotta take their word for it. Military personell have seen more death than anyone so they would see the apparitions
I worked at Eastern Air Lines as a gate agent & ticketing supervisor for the last 10 years of their existence. A lot of the people I worked with were there when flight 401 crashed. I heard so much praise for those flight attendants who (after the crash) continued to work for the company. While taking crash desk training (basically fielding calls and contacting next-of-kin and arranging their travel to the nearest airport for briefing) I heard story after story about the crash. The L1011s never had another crash on any route for as long as the airline existed. The 401 flight designation was retired (as are all flights on which something terrible happens), and it was used as a training example.
This story is so sad.. it’s like that flight was doomed 😟 but those good ol’ boys in the swamp were real heroes that night... It seems that pilot’s guilt was keeping him tethered to this world.. Glad to see they were able to help his soul make the transition 🕊
Or maybe their souls came back because they were used as scapegoats. The company lied about ghosts to save their reputation so what would they do to save their company from being ousted on bad equipment? Just a thought? You can never be sure when companies only care about money 🤔
That's my feeling too, thanks for expressing it so eloquently. It is so bitter sweet with the apparitions of the pilots. Thank goodness their souls can now be at peace.
Yes, also the Mechanic there who told one pilot after the crash at one engine wasn't working porberly and they did check it out turned out to been real and had to fix it. The sad part is the all ladning gear was down and just a bulb the last green light was burned off and Captain Bob accidently hit the yoke and turned off the autopilot. So sad and that’s why they both showed up to recorrcet their error they knew they did the FO didn't show himself but atleast Captain Bob did and the Mechanic did to the crew after the crash
You told the story exactly how it happened. I was an Eastern flight attendant married to an Eastern captain. My husband was supposed to be on the jump seat that night but mis connected. I saw Don Repo’s face when working in the lower galley on a L1011. He appeared in a window in the catering door. It always was my favorite aircraft to work
On a Christmas flight from New York to Detroit the exact same situation happened. I had been feeling semi nauseous and apprehensive for two weeks before the flight but had no idea why. After being in the air for 20 minutes a crewman came out of the cockpit, tore off some of the aisle carpet, opened a trap door and went down. He came up whiter than any ghost from 401. He went back into the cabin and the pilot explained exactly what the issue was. We went back to LaGuardia and circled for an hour to use up the fuel. We then prepared to land assuming the wheels were not down. Fire trucks lined the runway. But the wheels did go down and we landed just fine. I’ve never been so shook.
I came across your channel and was shocked to see my father! The man in the wheel chair, just for a moment, at about 5:25 minutes in. I’ve never before seen any survivor footage including him. He always talked about the screaming and crying in the dark, and the cold water. He said it happened so fast. Only a moment between realizing something was wrong and impact. He died 44 years later to-the-day of the crash. It’s difficult to think about the significance of the day. I feel he cheated death one day only for it to come back around. I don’t think it was ever too far from his mind.
Thank you for sharing that! I know it’s been a long time but I’m sorry for your loss. I don’t have a link to that footage but I did find it on youtube. I’m not sure if he appeared in anymore of it but might be interesting for you to see
Absolutely true story, one pilot was called out of the cockpit by a stewardess who said another pilot was sitting in one of passenger seats, when he saw the pilot he recognized him as the pilot who died in 401, they said he just stared straight ahead, he looked pale and just then he dissipated into thin air, right in front of the pilot, stewardess and 3 passengers.
You are so full of crap.

As a kid, I read the book and watched the movie. That many witnesses seeing these ghosts couldn't just be dismissed as a joke, and it is what started my interest into the paranormal.
I do not believe they were at fault at all. The auto disconnect should not have been so easy to dislodge. There should have been a loud voice recording warning them. Secondly it's not their job to be going down holes in mid air. Why the control tower did not ask them to by pass the tower so they check if the wheel carriage was down. If not the runway could have been foamed for an emergency landing.
My father-in-law was Charles Bryan; president of Eastern’s machinists union in the 1980’s. His son, my husband, had a friend on that flight. He survived and talked to my husband about it. He received a large insurance payment which he blew on drugs and cars. He was 19 at the time of the accident. I never met him as he died young of a drug overdose. He said it was terrifying sitting in his seat in the dark. I don’t know anything about these stories of appearances. But thanks for remembering and sharing the story.
I don't know why but the photo of deceased pilot Don Repo always has haunted me. There's just something about his expression, his stare, maybe his pose, I don't know but it's unsettling.
My brother in law was one of the rescue and clean up crew for the Flight that went down in Guam in the 90's , he was a US Navy Sea Bee and his unit was working on the Base, he said it was horrifying even worse than fighting in the Gulf and Somalia .
Well considering the ground combat during the first gulf war lasted about three days, and that in Somalia I don't know of a single Sea Bee combat deployment..So I'm sure it was harder than his non existent combat experience.

Being a fan of What Lurks Beneath and Mr. Ballen, I've watched all their works and have been looking for someone who is their equal; I'm really glad I found this channel. Not only do I enjoy the story telling skills, I love that ghost are covered more deeply here.
I was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines when this happened… many pilots spoke of seeing the deceased First Officer appear suddenly on a flight. * Story was that several intact parts of the crashed plane were recovered and used on another plane…I never saw anything … but several pilots called in sick rather than taking a trip with this plane.
@@aiglonducal314Google this flight. Airplane engines are extremely expensive and so are other parts. Parts were reused. There is a book written on flight 401.
Back in 1968, I was in the RAF working in a military hospital, and on nights with another medic saw and chased after the ghost of a Sister who had died there some years previously! Read the book about this flight many years ago.
Fun fact from someone’s who’s family builds planes… the most stable part of large passenger plane is the center where the wings are secured… the front and first class areas generally are demolished in a crash. So if you ever feel bad about not being first class 😬…
Most of the fatalities for this particular crash was in the midsection though. Unfortunately it’s all just up to luck where you get seated and physics if you live
That's exactly why I book my tickets right behind the wings!!! I have literally downgraded myself to sit in that area, and those seats. Thank You, for sharing. 🙏🏻
This is one of my absolute favorite ghost stories, it's just horrible that it's true 😢😢 I think it was awesome that they became temporary guardians for the flights to keep everyone safe.
I read John Fuller's book about this. He was an author who traveled frequently and started hearing these rumors from flight crew members. He decided to investigate and even went so far as to contact Repo with a quija board. There were some other incidents experienced by stewardesses in the galley of some planes. Many of the parts of 401's galley were reused in other planes.
I read an article in Esquire magazine many years ago where a man spoke about his experience with this flight . He was waiting to board when he was overwhelmed with terror . He tried to push the feeling down, got out of line for a moment , then got back in line . He told his wife that he was uneasy about the flight . She told him to stop being ridiculous . He got out of line and tried to calm down , then got back in the line . He told his wife that they needed to leave . She told him she was getting on the plane . So he slugged her and dragged her away . He blamed himself for not being able to warn anyone else .
@@TimLanglandThe 70’s were good times but I suppose also a bit rough by today’s snowflake standards. I walked home from kindergarten in downtown Toronto by myself and made my own snack at age 5. I’m still here 50 years later. But I am glad smoking isn’t everywhere nowadays like it was back then even though I smoked casually in my late teens and twenties. My sister and I used to think that the funny taste of the crusty but delicious bag of day old donuts our father would sometimes bring home was how they tasted. I still remember being confused when I actually tasted a freshly made donut that wasn’t second hand smokey.
On a flight to Chicago, the stewardesses were talking about many sightings of spirit by other employees. They were very creeped out by it, and very serious!
Fascinating video sympathetically retold. This truly proves “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Proof beyond a single doubt that there is indeed an afterlife. I think this is a comforting realisation.
I've heard so many stories about flight 401, but yours was truly the most haunting and in depth. It literally kept me up last night..thank you for your research and creepy story telling style. RIP to those souls and thank God for the frog hunters!
Another incredible story of a real life tragedy and the fact only here that I actually feel sorry for those people that died atleast 2 of them came back as apparitions to make sure what happened to them would not repeat itself is really sad. But these are the only ghosts so far I wouldn't mind seeing so I can show gratitude and respect to them. Rest in Peace brave and kind souls may their souls find eternal peace.
Wow this one brings ya back memories. My father was a PR for TWA and a lot of employees transferred to other airlines because of what they were seeing. My father talked to pilots and flight attendants who saw things. Thanks for this story. love your channel. Great work!!!
Just discovered 'The Tape Library' - what a phenomenally well presented programme; superbly narrated and informative; as my son is a commercial pilot, my husband and I empathised fully with the warnings of the souls attempting to communicate with the living. The remains of the crashed plane should have been blessed to allow these souls to pass over into the afterlife. Thank you so much for this presentation of such a dreadful tragedy. Lorraine
Don Repo's wife would come to my house and speak with my Mom about the experiences she was having with her husband who had died in the crash. I went to school with Alison, their daughter, from 1st grade until the crash and they moved away a few years later. They were a wonderful family. Viva Cristo Rey
I flew on an L1011 in the 80s and thought about that crash in Florida. That was one huge airplane! It flexed on takeoff and the back bathrooms were arranged in a semi circle. Very nice. I remember seeing that movie with Ernst Borgnine as the captain. It freaked me out and still does. He said there will never be another crash of an L1011. Amazing.
It was a shame the L011 Tristar didnt sell as well as the DC-10 as the Tristar was a far safer and more advanced plane than the DC-10. I did some research and the reason the Tristar didnt sell as well was it there were setbacks in the production of the rolls royce engines specifically designed for the jet and cost overruns as well which contributed to other large airlines such as American Airlines and United Airlines not placing any orders for the jet.
@@lethabrooks9112rumor has it that the L-1011 would have been the first ever wide bodied airliner had it not been for the problems regarding Rolls Royce
@@BritanniaPacific Its true. Lockheed decided to enter the commercial jet manufacturing market again in the late sixties because they werent getting as many contracts with the military so they needed to make up for the lost revenue. Rolls Royce had gone bankrupt during that time and the British Government had to bail them out. And by the time Lockheed considered contracting a different manufacture such as Prat and Whitney, GE, or CFC. Boeing and Douglas had already rolled the DC-10 and 747 out of their factories. Boeing and Douglas did have different engine options for their jets made by Prat and Whitney and CFC.

They have every right to be extremely proud of themselves for not only being the first on the scene and a beacon of hope to those injured and in pain who had also been plunged into complete darkness but continuing to help the co-ordinated rescue effort after the Coastguard had arrived👍❣🌹
That is the flight l used to take home every time I went to NY from Miami when l was a kid. It was the last one of the day thru Eastern and l wanted to stay in NY as long as l could..(we had moved to Miami from NY in 1970) so l always took the last flight home. That was awful. I clearly remember it happening. 😢
You might be thinking of plane crashes into water, as those are truly deadly. However, crashing to the ground is much more survivable, as my 11-year old brother flying unattended to our grandparents in Florida many years ago will tell you. I’m just a statistician who models such data. The majority of passengers survive crashes and there are things you can do to significantly improve your odds of survival. Search the scientific journals.
You are more likely to survive a plane crash than not, especially these days. Some numbers based on 2015 - 2020 data from bts.gov: if you were to board any flight during the year, you’d have about a 1 in 260,256 in a plane accident(not necessarily a crash) 1 in 6,864,250 chance of being on a plane involved in an accident that results in at least 1 fatality. about 1 in 816,545,929 of actually dying in a plane accident/crash Those are per year Throw those numbers in google for source since I can’t post a real link :( Hope that helps

A month before 9/11 happened, I had 2 dreams that I kept seeing people going up really tall buildings, and falling to their deaths. I could hear firetruck and ambulances in the distance, people screaming as they watched those people falling. It was crazy.
I had a similar thing, a dream where I was in a really tall building in America (I’ve never been to America) i went over to the window and had an overwhelming feeling to fall out, it was so real that I jolted in my sleep and woke up, a week or two later 9/11 happened.
And I had a dream last night that got $18000 in fines from the Australian government because I drove someone else’s truck. Then I accidentally went down a road trucks aren’t allowed on. Means 0/10 you can’t see the future in your sleep.
This may sound odd, but ghost stories like this worry me a lot because it makes the afterlife sound dimensionally "incomplete". It sounds like a videogame map that was abandoned halfway through programming it. Again yes that sounds weird I know but it's the best analogy I can convey.
I believe ghosts are just caught between here and there. I'm sure some think they are still alive while others have unfinished business. The unfinished business can include feeling responsible for something or someone.
I believe that the afterlife will be quite the surprise to most people. I also believe that God gives souls permission to contact the living. There is more to the afterlife than religion can account for. ❤

My mother's best friend growing up became an airline stewardess in the late 70s. She said the airlines experience everything from misfortune to ghost hauntings on planes that use recycled parts from down aircraft(which is almost common). Although not part of this story, this is apparently not unheard of in the airline world.
So MULTIPLE people saw a dead captain vanish while sitting in a seat .... have any of these people ever been interviewed?? This is surely one of the greatest moments in the quest for truth when it comes to ghosts? ... Why is it not studied and talked about more?? I would love to hear an interview with those present ...
UA-cam recently recommended your channel and I’ve just been working my way through your videos. You do a great job at getting the facts out about these stories whilst also being unbiased and speaking on both sides of the spectrum, whether something is or could have been faked and not just take things at face value as truth. Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you! I see myself as a horror/ghost story channel primarily so I don’t like to focus on the sceptic side of things but I think it’s important to discuss any obvious potential issues with a story.
@@TheTapeLibrary absolutely it’s always good to have a healthy skepticism when talking about hauntings. I absolutely believe in ghosts (had too much happen to not believe) but I won’t just say ghost straight away. I like to de-bunk things to make sure it’s real and not man made or mistaken for something else.
It was lack of cockpit management that caused the crash. Aviate, navigate, communicate. And as that great philosopher, Jim Morrison once said, “keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel “ In this case; Keep your hands on the yoke and your eyes on the instrument panel.
Wow!! That was a really good telling!! My husband and I were both born in 1980 and had never heard of this incident before this video. Fantastic job telling this unfortunate story!! New subscriber!!
I live in Louisiana and as most folks know we have a lot of swamps and I can not imagine crashing in a swamp with all the critters. I was in a near plane crash in the 90's flying out of Colorado Springs and we were hit by a Rotor which is a side ways tornado coming down the mountain and we barely made it to Denver. Just two years before a plane went down in Colorado Springs from the same thing and the plane was destroyed and everyone was killed so we were lucky.
Land animals would be scared off by the foreign object as well as the fire and smell. Is this different, for swamp predators? I'm curious about it, I'd have assumed crash victims would be safe from wild predators - but living land-locked I've never taken underwater predators' instinct into account.
When people describe having full conversations with a fully engaged person sitting next to them and the 'person' disappears, it makes you wonder about the afterlife.
I remember, as a wee girl, watching the film (starring Ernest Borgnine) based on these events and it absolutely chilled me to the bone. May all those who died rest in peace and rise in glory 🙌
my sister worked on a aeroplane that the parts were used and the following years from uk she flew a plane salvaged from this flight and she saw a passenger in first class( no other passengers) an old man in brace position..she asked what was wrong and he vanished in ftont of her. british caledonian..uk now abandoned..cspitsin and aircrew saw the same but on different parts of the plane..most of seats were salvaged and metal were used. and every salvaged part had a ghost.
My worst nightmare is what people go through in the last seconds of their lives as the plane is headed for certain doom. I stopped riding airplanes after hearing about the calls made from passengers to loved ones on 9/11.
My then cousin in law worked out of JFK at that time for EA in operations as a control center manager, and told me about the haunting stories at that time. They were all over the airline. I am glad that fellow pilots helped to free the souls of their colleagues. The L-1011 was a great airplane and I flew on it many times JFK-MIA in 1987 to early 1988 as I was an account supervisor at Campbell Ewald working on, yes, the Eastern Airlines ad account.

I see the joke, "How many plots does it take to change a lightbulb?" comes from a very dark place. And it has an answer: it doesn't matter how many so long as one pilot is flying the plane. RIP to all who lost their lives.
This type of accident would not happen with today's modern aircraft. #1. When the autopilot is disengaged, either intentionally or accidentally, there is a loud "bi-doop, bi-doop" warning which is impossible to miss. #2. Terrain avoidance system. Now, if an aircraft is losing altitude and is too low (other than on final approach for landing) a warning will sound, along with a voice "Terrain! Pull up! Terrain! Pull up!" #3. ATC system that alerts controllers if an aircraft is too low for the terrain.
My Dad's cat once sneeked onto an Airliner that went down in the Ocean. The cat swam 5 miles - jumped onto a canoe - and was saved! He arrived back home a week later with a story to tell!
I'm English but visited Florida many times, including going on an airboat in the Everglades. The idea of crashing into those Alligator (and God knows what else) infested swamps (that are vast) in the dead of night is absolutely horrendous. As for the supernatural element, it seems possible and is a compelling story. But given the crash was caused by human error, I'm not covinced of the logic behind the significance of the 'reused parts' element. I really enjoyed the video. The optimal time for these tales for me is about 40 minutes to 1 hour but longer is great, too. I think on this particular story, there is probably a much longer video as yet unmade, given the disparate elements. Anyway, another good entry into @TheTapeLibrary
I love ghost stories but am absolutely petrified of them at the same time. I’d stay absolutely frozen scared for a few days after hearing scary ghost stories, but I just love them because they stories are fascinating.
I remember watching a movie about the crash of flight 401 as a kid in the seventies Ernest borgnine played the pilot I remember vividly at the end of the movie a scene where the ghost of the pilot appeared and said there would be no more crashes of that model of plane
Yeah. B/c I think it got discontinued right after? Or the dumb problem was fixed. I think they couldn't hear the Terrain warning, as it was canceled out by the engine noise.
I’ve read a lot about this crash and the paranormal sightings but I haven’t heard such a detailed description of the encounter of the airline vice president with the dead captain. Either you are privy to a lot more information or you are gilding the lily. The other accounts merely state that the deceased pilot sat in his chair, looked forward silently and disappeared.
I wonder if the violence of the crash into the swamp, as well as the heat of the fires, the smell of jet fuel etc is what kept gators from swarming the crash site and eating the deceased and survivors. You would think any nearby gator wouldnt hesitate to drag some severely wounded person or corpse into the water. Maybe the crash itself and the aftermath of it scared them off
I love this paranormal story more than most. The apparitions don’t seem to be angry or trying to harm people. It seems as though that the flight crew wanted nothing more than the safety of everyone on those aircraft’s. Not typically the type of ghost’s featured on this channel. Very refreshing.
I'm glad to find your channel and subscribed to. This is the first time I heard this story, and I found it really interesting and very sad. Your research on every story you bring to us is amazing. Thank you for this story, and keep uploading.
What makes these witnesses so credible is that they knew that they could get fired for reporting a ghost sighting because the last thing that the airline industry wants is to worsen the already existing fear of flying among many passengers.
This is the most perfectly executed ghost story video I’ve ever come across. Wow, well done 🎉 Providing the full story and context in simple but clear detail made me care and be more curious about the haunting itself. Tragic but remarkable story, thank you!
The tv-movie was quite good but unfortunately they had omitted Bob Loft entirely. The book is amazing and contains a few incidents that didn't make it into the movie, like a plane with salvaged parts from the crashed plane suddenly starting to slightly tilt repeatedly to the starbord side, in midair. A passenger sitting by a window saw a small glowing ball slowly jumping up and down on the tip of the wing causing the plane to tilt slightly. He called for an air stewardess and they both watched it. It suddenly vanished and then reappeared on the wingtip on the port side of the plane, again causing it to slightly tilt repeatedly before vanishing.
this will be my first ever comment on youtube brother, this video is absolutely top notch. i usually listen to videos such as this, but between the masterfully told story and the amazing use of historically accurate photos/videos. it’s an amazing view either way, look forward to more stories like this

Some of these witnesses saw a fully formed Ghost of the pilot sitting in a seat, remarkable.
You missed, what I think to be, one of the most interesting and unexplained stories. There was a small issues in one of the Tri-Star 111 galley, something that needed an engineer to fix, so called up to the flight-deck to have the engineer to come down have a look and see about either fixing it or if it needed to wait for the ground crew. Well a few minutes latter a flight engineer comes down and takes a look, tell the Stewardess it'll be no problem and he'll have it fix pronto. Latter on the Flight Engineer comes down having now had a moment to come and take a look, which the stewardess says that one already came down and fixed the issue. Their Flight Engineer doesn't look like the one that came and fixed it, and he's not findable among the passengers.
Well, this one is. There’s still a memorial at the site in the swamp. And Bob Marquis (pronounced Marcus) was the first on the scene and helped many injured to rescue vehicles. He has since passed but he was a real person, out catching frogs that night. This is my favorite ghost report of all time. I’ve seen the movie many times and watched every video on UA-cam. I’ve read every book I could find on it since my early teens. I was 11 when this crash happened. The first movie came out in 1978, watched it with my dad.

Included some footage from those training tapes in the video. You can actually find at least one of them on youtube. Thanks for sharing!

The reason they still appear is because they know that they were at fault for the crash and feel an obligation to prevent further crashes

John Fuller was an excellent journalist/author who thoroughly researched material for his books including "The Incident at Exeter".

Sir, you're good at this. Thank you for letting the story unfold on its own sans FX, etc - more powerfully conveyed. For those of us who've had 'anomalous experiences', it's most appreciated.
The realms of the Great Unseen are much like earth in that there are far more good souls than not. Here's to love here and there.
Paz y luz ✨️ to all
Seriously! Some people truly are just born with it being obvious what they're meant to do.
You were totally meant to tell stories, hands down. Lol and such a good intro "get a warm drink, get comfortable"
Great work thank you for the stories! I'd love to hear about Hill House if you haven't yet covered that, also the Axe Murder House, Waverly Hills. For a few suggestions 😊
Aww this genuinely made me smile, thank you so much!
Also all three of those are my potential episodes list
Pull up! Terrain! Pull up!"
#3. ATC system that alerts controllers if an aircraft is too low for the terrain.
You'll notice that never helped those at Tenerife. I thought they knew and didn't say anything? One of these, it was...
I just found this channel and this is a top flight show. Very underrated. 😎✌🏻
Thanks for watching!
Top flight...? Pun intended? 😂 I do agree with you, though. ❤
My Dad's cat once sneeked onto an Airliner that went down in the Ocean. The cat swam 5 miles - jumped onto a canoe - and was saved! He arrived back home a week later with a story to tell!
Stop it
WHAT???? I wanna believe this crazy story😮
Cat's can't talk.
Obviously the "talking" cat in the Bridgeport poltergeist story 🤣
Wow!
Great show! Thanks; I’ll be watching all the others 😊
26:14 really, that sounds like a selling point. Our planes are so safe now even the dead are helping to look out for your safety.
I love ghost stories but am absolutely petrified of them at the same time. I’d stay absolutely frozen scared for a few days after hearing scary ghost stories, but I just love them because they stories are fascinating.
I only discovered your channel yesterday and I'm really impressed! Your up there with the best at covering things like this!
Glad you enjoy it!
A sad day for those ppl , hurt or killed by human error. Thanks for telling us about this 😢
Most crashes are caused by pilot error
I remember watching a movie about the crash of flight 401 as a kid in the seventies Ernest borgnine played the pilot I remember vividly at the end of the movie a scene where the ghost of the pilot appeared and said there would be no more crashes of that model of plane
Yeah. B/c I think it got discontinued right after? Or the dumb problem was fixed. I think they couldn't hear the Terrain warning, as it was canceled out by the engine noise.
Ernest Borgnine was the flight engineer, not the pilot.
So glad I came across your awesome channel it sent me on a binge watch lol keep up the awesome works thanks !!!! for the up loads
Thanks for watching!
I'm thrilled to have found your channel! Your storytelling and narration is superb! I can't wait to see what other stories you have posted!
Awesome video! I was totally creeped out by the bob loft case ! Still giving me the chills !
I saw a movie based on this story. If memory serves, the part of Don Repo was played by Ernest Borgnine.
This is why im terrified of flying
"The Hell with this, the Hell with this! Screwing around with a $0.20 piece of lighting equipment. On this plane!"
-Bob Loft.
The narration on this video is impeccable! How have I just found your channel!? I do love a good binge at least lol.
You’ve found us now and planning to do this for a long time so really you got in early! :)
Well done. Highly highly recommend Ghosts of Flight 401 documentary with Steve Shippy and Cindy Gaza. That will give you chills.
Incredible editing, amazing videos. This channel is highly addictive.💯👌
I'm glad to find your channel and subscribed to. This is the first time I heard this story, and I found it really interesting and very sad. Your research on every story you bring to us is amazing. Thank you for this story, and keep uploading.
thank you! Appreciate that
What makes these witnesses so credible is that they knew that they could get fired for reporting a ghost sighting because the last thing that the airline industry wants is to worsen the already existing fear of flying among many passengers.
This is the most perfectly executed ghost story video I’ve ever come across. Wow, well done 🎉 Providing the full story and context in simple but clear detail made me care and be more curious about the haunting itself. Tragic but remarkable story, thank you!
Thank you!
Looking forward to the next episode! I got chills from this one… 😱
I just found this channel last night and I love the content. It's very addictive.
this will be my first ever comment on youtube brother, this video is absolutely top notch. i usually listen to videos such as this, but between the masterfully told story and the amazing use of historically accurate photos/videos. it’s an amazing view either way, look forward to more stories like this
Thank you!
I am a believer in spirits and live in a house with a spirit. Sometimes he causes us to wake up and we see shadow moving but there's never anyone there when I check.
Your house is haunted mate
3.08 a.m. I couldn't sleep. Glad I found this. Thank you. 😊
I'm from the 1960's USA, total skeptic, cameras everywhere world of the last 20 years or so have captured things you can't just explain away, this story is fascinating, don't forget, these are just the people who came forward, I'm sure there's 3 times as many witnesses who've never been heard. Some of these witnesses saw a fully formed Ghost of the pilot sitting in a seat, remarkable.
Thank you ! You told their story so well !
I hope these stories are real. Some ghost just trying to make sure no other accidents ever happened again is strangly wholesome.
Its true. They even did a book and a movie about it back in 1978.
Yes, much more wholesome than *_Hellraiser._*
@@Rick_ClelandYes! Today’s so-called ‘horror movies’ are nothing but chop’em up-hack’em up slicers. Just gore and killing. Boring! But to have a good ghost tale or mystery- ahhh! Much more fun and classic!
Obviously it's not real!
What are you even talking about!
(Appart from the crash of course which did happen.)
