I think Scarlet is too new to just call it the Paint the Town Red album - Say So & Streets both took ages to blow up off Hot Pink and Agora Hills is decently popular right now.

Britney Jean had potential, with songs like Perfume (which is 100% Britney's vocals [Sia does background]), Till It's Gone, Passenger, Don't Cry, Hold On Tight and Now That I found You. I feel that Britney's team messed it up by rushing it for her Vegas Residency. At least it was followed by Glory.

It for sure will be yet another sleeper hit just like Need To Know and have amazing longevity, i mean after all... those 2 are the only official singles so far (Attention is just a first release, and Demons and Balut are promotional singles) Also surprisingly critics liked Scarlet, it's just the hate train and her reputation. Edit: it did hit Top 10, like i said it would, now let's make it at least Top 5, maybe #1 but yes, and? first👉👈

When the dust settles, she is surrounded by skin walkers, who face the viewers with her. They all then begin to dance to the first verse. That's how far I got. 😅

This is an older example, but CRASH by the Human League is a perfect example of this. THL basically kickstarted the ‘80’s synthpop/new wave boom with Don’t You Want Me, then had middling success after that. They tried rebranding themselves by working with Jam and Lewis, Janet Jackson’s main producers, and got a #1 with Human. The rest of the album, though, is a disjointed mess full of songs that don’t fit them at all. Todd In The Shadows did a great video on this album for his show TrainWreckords if you want to know more.

It really hits when you feel it instead of listening so hard it ruins the moment. I still love Flowers but Jaded, WildCard, Used to be young, River may even be better hitting depending on my mood.

My personal standout is Ouchies, while I wish the song was longer, it is such a bop to me. Skull and Bones is another favorite that I was immediately attracted to. Doja on all of her albums is a bit of a sleeper hit, it takes months for it to really pick up speed rather than hitting the ground running.
The Thrill of it All is to this day one of my favorite albums of all time and I really wanted to like GLORIA.. there are one or two good songs on it but yeah, I would consider it emtpy as well. Hopefully his next album will be better.

I don't agree with endless summer vacation. Jaded was smash in terms of production and sound. and yes - the rest singles didn't get the same amount of attention and streams but i appreciate that she went different way than following trends.

Most Americans associate her with Hips Don't Lie or Whenever, whenever and maybe La Tortura but what else. She Wolf, Waka Waka, Loca Loca, Chantaje, A Girl Like Me and her other global hits went damn near unnoticed in the US when the latin pop explosion died down after 2007. Latin artists who were succeeding like Pitbull and J-Lo in the early 2010s went the EDM route. Despacito, Mi Gente, Havana and I Like it are some of the records that helped Latin pop and urban to make a comeback on the US charts. But it's nowhere as big as the Latin pop explosion of the 1999-2000s with Ricky Martin, Enrique Eglesias, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and even Christina Aguilera with the Mi Reflexo album

I disagree about Endless Summer vacation. I loved that album. Jaded made me cry bc it perfectly explained my parents relationship before they got divorced. But the Sam Smith nightmare was ridiculous and so uninteresting. Woohoo. You have sex Sam. So does everyone. It wasn’t at all creative, it felt cheap and like it was meant to be a cash grab.

Britney Jean does not exist in her discography in my head. Plastic Hearts is one of the best albums any artist of our generation has ever made. Very underrated and ESV is a bit mid but it grew on me. Love Miley's voice on anything basically.

Endless Summer Vacation is a grower album, Island, Violet Chemistry, Jaded, Rose Colored Glasses, and Used to Be Young are all gems and some of Miley’s best work IMO.
ESV was pretty weak but Scarlet was a great body of work with Agora Hills too being a small hit. PTTR definitely overshadowed an amazing rap album

Paint The Town Red is one of the worst songs of the year. I absolutely hate it. Doja is not that good of a rapper or singer. Her music is honestly mid or bad. She's not a very good person and treats her fans like crap. It's no wonder why Scarlet is a flop.
It seems you’re allowing your personal feelings to get in the way of your statement. Doja is talented as hell. You cannot and will deny that! Just because she said a few things that hurt your feelings doesn’t make her a bad artist.
Endless Summer Vacation is a really good album. There are some great tracks. Jaded and Muddy Feet are way better than Flowers.

Do you mean attention? It wasn't really a big hit for Doja. I personally like it, i think it's one of the best songs on the album, but it had nowhere near the impact of her previous hits. Paint the town red doesn't either, but it's the closest she got with this project.

Endless Summer Vacation is a great album IMO. Carly Rae Jepsen's Emotion is an incredible album.
I don't agree with endless summer vacation. Jaded was smash in terms of production and sound. and yes - the rest singles didn't get the same amount of attention and streams but i appreciate that she went different way than following trends.
Great video, but you could elaborate or roast those albums more, like give examples of tracks that fall flat, on where the album separates from the single, etc

Rih is more of a singles artist than an album artist but calling her entire discography hit singles from flop albums is a stretch. Good Girl Gone Bad and Loud were very succesful and iconic album eras

I love Endless Summer Vacation! Even over Plastic Hearts, which is great too. But thanks to ESV, Miley has been the third artists i've listened the most this year.
I’m sorry but Endless Summer Vacation is in NO WAY a flop album. Flowers, JADED, rose colored lenses, VIOLET CHEMISTRY, river, and ISALND?? HITS. It’s tough to follow Plastic Hearts with ANYTHING I get it, and maybe disappointing to see her go away from rock a bit, but calling ESV a flop is just not it.

I think endless summer vacation is not that versatile. It has most ballads and those are bit boring. Also, some of the good songs like jaded, you, violet chemistry, rose colored lenses and thousand miles were not well promoted.
