Loona has been slowly thawing over the course of this season. I though her cutest scene in this ep was when she saw the office for the first time. That cute little happy smile was heart-warming.
This is without a doubt my favourite episode yet. The balance of humour and drama is absolutely perfect, it's tragic but uplifting, and as somebody who has suffered PTSD via accidentally setting events in motion that led to a loved one's death, there are so many small things that I've personally noticed that tell me they know exactly how to write this kind of PTSD. It goes beyond narrative structure and tropes, this is a topic that has to be close to somebody at Spindlehorse, and I personally appreciate it a lot.
It’s good to see your reaction. This ep was so funny and sad at the same time. And also Bethany is the voice of Charlie singing that song at the end. It’s really good

Fun fact: the shorts take place after this episode, so when M&M had their date at the theater, that’s why Blitz was fine with killing the “gothy twenty something” by himself.
In case you didn't know who John Waters (Ronaldo, the Infestor Demon) is, he's a director known for weird/strange films like Pink Flamingos Ronaldo is also designed off of him
"Weird/strange" is such a colossal understatement, I think Waters would actually be offended by it. You don't include a human puppy mill in your movie to get that mild of a description
32:29 something that just hurts my soul: You can see his dad hitting him, pretty sure very soon after the fire (since his scars are still fresh) and it immediately cuts to Blitzø desperately struggling against the chains, even if it is just a memory. It hurts me to my core.
I was always wondering what Moxie meeting Millie was like. Turns out it’s literally “Moxie.exe has stopped working”! Honestly much better than anything I could’ve imagined.😂
I have a theory that Blitz bought all the taxidermied owls with the intention of destroying them himself but couldn't bring himself to do it, so he told Loona to do it.
This episode explains quite a bit about why Envians talk so rudely. Every Envian acts racist because either they are genuinely jealous of their potential, or they feed on negative emotion. Could even be both. That fish Karen at the hospital teaching her kid the term "fire toads," and the Klowns antagonizing Fizzie, it's cause they like misery... holy shit, it's a race of internet trolls!

This episode was so good!! Brendan rogers gave us an amazing performance!!! The moment when he saw his mom was heartbreaking and he crushed it! Millie got to be a great friend for blitz as well as a total badass. Also the infestor demon was so good!! Perfectly creepy, super strong, amazing design, etc. I could go on and on but I think I've ranted enough🥰🥰
The punch card for unconditional support so he wouldn’t bother them on one of their dates is cute until you realize that blitz considers "unconditional support" as something that needs to be transactional as well
Fun Facts: The vacuum Blitzo uses as part of his disguise may be a nod to the Poltergust 3000 from Nintendo's Luigi's Mansion 👑👑👑 The chase sequence and its music are based on those from the Scooby-Doo franchise 👑👑 Toledo the Igor is a reference to Igor, a stock henchman character famously associated with the Universal Frankenstein films 👑👑👑

The ice cream he was eating with cheese was 'Carolina Reaper' flavored- basically.. he was eating HOT SAUCE with cheese. This man's past 'coping' and into danger zone levels of mourning his not-relationship. This is a really well-done episode.
I'm pretty sure they just need to know a specific spell to be able to glamour, it's the only thing that adds up imo. The professional succubi would probably be taught it since they were working on earth, likewise for Barbie buying drugs topside for her job and Tex working for Verosika, meanwhile Loona and Stolas have studied the grimoire which is implied to have disguise spells in it by Stolas. Given the rural, manual labor focused area Millie grew up in, and Blitz growing up like he did and being him, they both probably have limited literacy and minimal if any experience with doing any magic. The real question is why did Moxxie never learn it if the spell was in the grimoire? We've seen Moxxie at least do minor illusory magic and he seems perfectly literate, so I doubt he wouldn't be able to. I guess maybe he just never looked through the book? Or maybe it's written in some other language Loona knows due to her past of bouncing between homes??
Millie's reaction to Blitzo saying he's NOT 'gonna try to be their third anymore' is REALLY interesting, because yeah she does seem just rather sad and even just a bit disappointment. Like after this episode, I feel like not only was Millie never actually bothered by Blitzo's antics, she actually WOULD be down for a three-way (so long as Moxxie was into it) as just a casual 'besties with benefits' type thing. And that implies some fascinating IRONY when we consider how Blitzo was clearly always using 'wanting to fuck the M&Ms' as a cover for what he REALLY wanted, ie; to have the love, affection and acceptance that the M&Ms have for each other. Like imagine if it turns out that Blitzo never truly WANTED that threeway, yet Millie AND Moxxie (I think Moxxie pretty clearly has SOME kind of repressed, unresolved crush on Blitzo) were actually much more game for it then he ever realized.
OK, I'm now more convinced than ever that Blitz' mom wasn't an imp. She's taller by far than any other imp we've seen, and her face is far more human-looking in design. I'm completely on board now with the theory that Blitz is half-succubus; it would explain so much about how he ended up with that many ex's. Heck, he even literally got a succubus to confess LOVE for him, and that is not a thing succubi typically do! Just a theory, obviously, but one that fits the known facts.

Interesting conversation seeing around this episode, people are taking Millie as "word of god" that oh so annoying trope where when any character says anything related to the lore of the world building even if they aren't in a realistic position to know it as an absolute face, the audience takes it as such because the author/writers inserted it there...and if later contradicted (which has happened in various works) will be upset because "it was said on the show". Which I will say, Millie called ghosts a "conspiracy" which implies this is something demons and Sinners argue about in Hell, as none of them would actually know one way or the other. In fact we the audience know thanks to Hazbin Hotel (same setting) that even the highest ranked angels and devils (such as Lucifer) don't actually know or control who goes where in the afterlife, only that they are "judged" by presumably god or whatever stands in for this series and its their jobs to then take care of them after (Sera in Hazbin Hotel as a Seraph said as much), so it wouldn't be impossible for other after life worlds to be present, purgatory, super Hell, Hades, Valhalla, ghost limbo, etc... just that the souls in heaven and Hell and the angels and demons there would have no way themselves of knowing this really, especially not a demon as low down the ranks as an imp. I could see imps and Sinners on their internet just arguing about it like, "there is no way that guy I knew got into Heaven, so if he aint here and wasn't exterminated he has to be a ghost" kind of arguments.
People call Millie and Blitz's dynamic here a "wholesome friendship." But there's NOTHING wholesome about a boss who stalks you 24/7, insults your spouse, brings you on the verge of bankruptcy and expects you to go along with every stupid idea they have

Hmmmm, Speaking of Human Disguises, Its probably the same Spell/Trick Loona uses for her Human Form. Like Barbie probably knows the same spell since she needed to be on Earth ALOT. So Yeah...... He probably just doesn't know how to do that. "That carpet looks like....." Now that you have pointed it out, I cannot unsee it. Probably supposed to be Eyes but..... yeah..... I pick up what your putting down. ANYWAY, overall I thought this was a good episode.
