The fact that Vivzie got freaking Ke$ha to voice Beelzebub is actually god damn insane, this episode was so worth the wait

kesha was perfect for this character cause this charecter loves to part and kesha loves to party irl
Given that Vivzie got her start from making animations about Kesha's songs, it was a nice full circle.

it also the reason it took so long... because her producer wanted royalties for using kesha singing and then they had to get another voice for the singing roles and it was still written by kesha so they were not allowed to release it until legal stuff between kesha and the bitch producer who shall not be named got settled which it was and then this ep dropped almost as soon as that happened. they still didnt use keshas voice for the song tho
she didn't think it was a date, she just felt awkward like she doesn't fit in. Tex already told her that he had a girlfriend that throws a lot of parties and inviting her to come in the spring break episode

I bet she had a tiny bit of hope, that she'll "somehow" win him over that elusive "girlfriend", all untill she saw who he's actually dating.
Which put a final nail in the coffin of her confidence and mood.
But as soon as Blitzo was there and someone showed genuine interest in her the mood swung 180° in a heartbeat!

She clearly saw that she's no match for the deadly Sin.
And settling for poly, might hit some people in the pride.

5:25 Actually, of what I heard, the episode was actually ready since a long time ago. Its just that Kesha, the singer who voiced queen bee, has had a lot of trouble with the rights to her own songs for the past 10 years. Because Kesha made an original song for this project, it would have been stuck in the legal sh*thole she was in. Those legal troubles got taken care of about a week ago, so she finally has the right over her own songs and so the episode was able to come out without any risk of copyright infringment of any kind.

Yea so Kesha voices the character but because of all those legal issues someone else sings the song. The end credits credit both Kesha and another singer. I think they had to cut and alter alot of stuff to end the legal issues and I think they cant officially tag Kesha either or something like that.

@@RoxxyFly Yeah the singer is Rochelle Diamante, she has a song called Queen Bee, so i think thats a little nod to her. I checked out some of her stuff shes good def has a similiar sound to Kesha in one or two songs so i cant say for sure if they did any altering but they matched the two voices very well.
@@clairehedges1439 honestly I thought it was auto tune but hearing that they probably had her and kesha harmonize close enough that it sounds similar and overplayed.
Beelzebub is my new favorite character. She is the lord of gluttony. Her entire thing is overindulgence and getting people to overindulge. And instead of getting people to overindulge via depression and bad feelings, she seems exclusively focused on gluttony and overindulgence from happiness. She tries to make Loona feel comfortable enough to stay or even come back, she checks in on every guest, and she shows legitimate concern when someone is being gluttonous for the wrong reasons which is contrary to the concept of hell. Its just such an interesting take on the concept of gluttony. Helps that its Kesha
Ya, she honestly quickly became my favorite as well. Has an amazing personality. Outgoing, fun, silly, quirky... and caring. None of the things you would have expected given her position/status. The downside is, this is a character we are unlikely to see all that often. Plus, even if we do I have my doubts they would be able to get Kesha back to do the voice, much like Norman Reedus didn't make a return.

I think Beelzebub is the coolest and nicest character we've met thus far. Also one of the best designed characters ever. I thought she was going to be purely an insect but she's a mix of a bee and a Hell Hound

Loona's sole vibe is "doom'n'gloom" while Beelz is all hype and cheer.
Loona has a big crush on Vortex and seeing Beelz as his gf, she realises that there's no way of winning him over.
There might be other small details, like general low self esteem and the like, along with defencive mechanism against big ol' Deadly Sin - Queen of Gluttony herself, but those are major ones.

We saw Blitzo's place in season 1 episode 7, he literally cried himself to sleep at the end of the episode. Worth to mention, that he colored himself out of the pictures, which can mean serious self-worth issues (like he feels others would be better without him)
This episode is supposed to take place right after that one too. Remember at the end of 7 he sees the note from Loona about being invited to a party?
SUCH A GOOD EPISODE beelezbub is much nicer that I was expecting and she's voiced by kesha which is crazy

Now that I think about it neither of the “Princes” of Hell we’ve seen so far are actually that bad of people. Beelzebub is a party queen and gets her subjects drunk and maybe high but does also show concern over Blitzø’s mental state, whether that be due to if messing with her general vibe or genuine concern for his well-being. She doesn’t seem malicious, she’s seemingly not drugging up the Hounds for anything other than a good time really. Asmodeus also wasn’t really evil at all. Yes, his song was a major part in the now painful domino effect of Blitzø and Stolas’s relationship, the actual lyrics of the song make it sound like he’s being supportive and actively cheering on Stolas for dating Blitzø, congratulating him almost.
This makes me extremely curious to see the other big dogs at work like Mammon and Lucifer, granted we’ll probably only see Lucifer when Hazbin Hotel airs.

@@rpgrage7711 According to this episode Belphagore has a stash of party drugs which could also be hallucinogenics and considering they rule over Sloth, might also be sedative. Also, Belphagore might be sleepy constantly, wouldn’t be surprised. As for Leviathan and Satan, we have no clue what they look like or do. Satan’s apparently attractive and considering he has a fitness app as seen on Blitzø’s phone, he’s probably henched like a big Wrath imp. Leviathan, no idea, dude’s a fish or somethin.
@@alyssabullock6421 Logically and probably literally, she is the Queen of the Gluttony Ring. It’s just that the name used to describe all seven rulers at once was “The Princes of Hell” which was immediately put into question back in episode 7 of season 1 when Moxxie’s song implies Beelze is female, which she is. I just don’t know what other term I could use to correctly convey the rulers of each ring while also not confusing people out of the loop. Can’t say Lord, that’s gender specific and also sounds too much like Overlord which is it’s own group of demons from Pride, this system is confusing.
I love that Bell genuinely wants safe but fun parties, cause like... the party atmosphere can be so terrifying but she genuinely wants ppl to have a good time for good reason not for... ya know... coping over bad things. Also hope loona doesn't keep after Tex I love how healthy his and Beelz relationship is.
Thats my thing. Most people overindulge due to either depressive or happiness. And its such an interesting take that the lord of gluttony in hell seems fixated on the latter and shows concern when someone is in the former.
I also like the vibe that you can feel that Tex and Bee have been together for a long time.
So Bee is one of the princes of hell like Ozzie was, she’s gluttony so from my understanding when people are feeding into their gluttonous behavior she can feel it and it gives her energy. Blitz was being gluttonous to cover up his pain after the whole Ozzie’s situation and Bee could tell he wasn’t okay because of that.
The delay for this episode was because for the actress of Bee-lezebub is Kesha. Her songs, Cotton Candy & Monster Ball (the credits).
The contract she had at the time meant she wouldn't be able to legally be involved.
Looks like the old “Die Young” animation video wasn’t enough for Vivzie. THIS explains the legal issues surrounding this episode! Kesha likely saw that video and probably wanted in on the action with Helluva Boss!
I'm so blown away with these stunning visual effects and animations that they did, I love that this is the first Loona-focused episode I've ever seen, and would love to see more of them in the future, even seeing so many various Hellhounds looked awesome! And the fact that Vivian actually got KESHA to guest star in this is honestly huge. Rating this 10/10!!! Happy Saturday and Episode 8 Day, folks! #HelluvaBoss

Timeline-wise, this takes place immediately after the events of S1E7, the one where Stolas and Blitz go to Ozzie's and have a bad time. That episode ends with Blitz coming home to find a note on Loona's door saying she went out for a party, which leads immediately into this one.
Is no one gonna talk about how Blitz out drank the embodiment of gluttony in her own house?

She obviously let him win because she could tell he was being gluttonous to cover up his pain. Letting him win was supposed to make him feel better but obviously his situation is quite complex.
She has a much bigger mouth than him and obviously knows damn well how to indulge. Not to mention how she looks worried immediately after he won bc she could tell it didn't work.
8:12 she wasn’t on drugs, she’s Beelzebub so she’s one of the strongest demons in the show, also the actual Queen of the ring they’re in, so yeah she’s technically related with satan but not like blood
Timeline is right after Season 1 episode 7 took a few years because of some legal bs with Kesha and the person that owned her music that was just recently settled which is why they could release this episode now.
So the reason why Loona was so upset and wanted to leave wasn’t because she thought it was a date- she knew Tex had a girlfriend, he told her in episode 3. She was upset because she feels like a freak and that when people say they like her, she doesn’t believe them, because she is extremely socially awkward and has a hard time reading a room, and she feels like she made a fool of herself by thinking she could hang out and be ‘cool.’
The episode was a banger and people complaining about how it doesn't further anything story wise can shut it, viv told people that the episode was more of a spectacle not story driven.
While it does help temper expectations, it still sucks that we have had virtually zero character story progression from any of the episodes since S1E7.

i don't know maybe one day they tell us but i thing that i want to see is when some one make a comic of this episode and put the doom slayer in it and how he react when she say shes knows Satan and walk up to her menacingly that would be fun idea comic .
The difference in people's reactions to Stolas dating an imp compared to someone in a higher position of hell dating the only group considered lower than imps is interesting. I wonder if she is just that powerful and a party girl, so no one cares. That combined with Stolas being married also plays a part.
I mean Asmodeus and Fizz are likely dating. Fizz is an IMP, the lowest class of hells species I'm pretty sure and despite Fizz being a really low class demon, Asmodeus doesn't seem to care all that much. The same can be said with Vaggy and Charlie, soon to be Blitz and Stolas, and now Tex and Bee.

To answer where in the timeline this in, This is after Ozzies, When blitzo gets back to his apartment theres a note saying that she was at a party, this was later in the night after he seen the note.
Glad Loona got her episode and her scene with Blitz was sweet and much needed
I liked that Queen Bee lzebub felt Blitzo's pain despite him partying hard, and genuinely worried for him. Because most of the higher ups that we met so far are total As-modeuos.
yeah, it makes sense that a lot of powerful people in Hell would be assholes given how, uh, Borderlands-y shit seems to be down there, but it's really cool seeing examples of high ranking demons who just kind of looked at the option of being shitty and then shrugged and said "nah, that ain't me". what an awesome character, really took me by surprise in the best way.
i'm kinda torn about Kesha VA-ing her because that was perfect but it could make seeing her again later less likely. though the guy who replaced Norman Reedus did a great job with Striker so clearly Viv is willing to recast voice actors when it's necessary to keep a character in the plot which is a good sign (it would be great to see Bee again, and Kesha knocked it out of the park with the character so hopefully if we see her again it'll still be Kesha, but IMO if something in a show comes down to a choice between losing a good character over voice acting stuff or changing VAs, then changing VAs is almost always the right decision)

I remember watching this episode with my Yu-Gi-Oh friends group ( of which we tune in HB regularly ) and my friend Blue saying: "Yo, this b##tch a freaking flying lava lamp!" And I freaking lost it bro.
This episode really helps dive deep into Loona’s insecurities, and I’m also a big fan of her connection with Bee. She’s clearly a little jealous, but not hateful.
Kesha was still in a contract with her abusive old producer so they werent able to release the episode due to legal issues around that, but shes with a new producer now and they were finally able to release the episode
- Queen Bee-lzebub is voiced by Kesha Sebert & her name is based on one of the 7 princes of Hell Beelzebub also known as the “Lord of the Flies / Flyers” & the demon that represents gluttony & envy, & funny when she mentioned Satan because Beelzebub was another name for him. Now as for her design is similar to Vivziepop’s Zoophobia character JayJay from her animated music video adaptation of Kesha's song "Die Young"

Pretty sure the whole fact that Viviziepop likes to keep her show open for reactions, she probably considered that alot for this episode, which is why there was alot of legal relate issues since Kesha would be having her own song in this.

I think it was Kesha's old manager or something trying to claim all her music. I think that situation just got resolved recently, which could be why the episode came out now. That's all I've heard, I haven't done much research.
This is supposed to be a few hours after the "Ozzie's" episode. Loona texted Blitz saying that she was going to a party.
I think it's less that she likes Tex (he did tell her he had a girlfriend way back in s1 e3, it was never a secret) and more that the first people she ran into made fun of her with embarrassing photos, while the situation just kept *escalating* with the b word, and the double standard thereof!
I'm beginning to sincerely believe Loona is an introvert (which is not the same as shy, but more like having a very finite limit on stimulation.) Loona genuinely doesn't know how to be around people and doesn't grasp when people around her are being genuine, ie, Beelzebub did not *have* to reveal her own embarrassing Satan (not Lucifer, btw) story, and was clearly trying to empathize with Loona. But Loona literally grew up in a pound, she absolutely does not have the social cues. I genuinely loved that small moment toward the end where Loona waves at her new friends before taking Blitz home; she's learning that everything is not an attack.
that episode is right after blitz leave stolas at home. he's crying sleep and wake up with loona calling the same night. i'm devasted
In episode 7 of the first season we also saw the flat and Blitze was also completely broken. He was looking at old family pictures on his phone and then collapsed. After that, he must have got the call from Luna and pulled himself together again.
No, she didn’t think it was a date. She already knew Tex had a girlfriend. He told her the episode they met. She’s upset because she felt so out of place with the energy and vibe, like she didn’t belong. Remember, she’s very unsociable, not used to interacting with other people, let alone going to a full blown party. Then there’s this bubbly, outgoing, sociable and people pleasing party host who’s Tex’s girlfriend. I’d be upset and leave too. I definitely wouldn’t feel like I fit in.
I would recommend watching eps 7 & 8 back to back. They’re set in the same night and run into each other really seamlessly
Part of me wonders if Vivziepop was trying to ask Kesha to voice Beelzebub and showed her the old animation video, Die Young, that basically was a tribute to Kesha. Viv also probably had to pay a large amount of royalty fees for Kesha to voice the character, and sing as well.

Watching anime and reading manga is so exhilarating.
Kesha being a special guest what is why it took, but they made a compromise that she would voiced the character but the singing was done by a different voice so it wouldn't get copyrighted. She did write the song though just didn't sing it

Beelzebub is so well designed! In Christian mythology she’s more of a mosquito or a bee, but here she’s a bee/hellhound party animal and I love it! Cotton Candy is such a great song too
Blitz is fucking a prince of hell, was friends with someone who is now dating a sin and has now out partied the sin who’s known to throw parties, he’s definitely going to be the most famous imp in all of hell by the end of the series
From what I've seen, Beelzebub is the best sin queen so far because of one major reason: Hellhounds and Imps are considered the lowest of low in Hell's hierarchy in this series, and here she is throwing awesome parties for them, showing genuine care for them, and even dating a Hellhound. She just seems like a genuinely good person
Apparently she's technically in charge of hellhound adoption services, her signature acting as a seal on Loona's papers.

Just a note Kesha didn't voice the song just the character due to her legal issues and was another singer was brought in to redo it causing the delay after some legal battles with keshas music rights

from what i understand, this happens the day directly after Blitz and Stolas parted ways after being shit on by Asmodius and got into their fight. Like Blitz gets home, we see him scrolling through his phone and he goes to sleep, and that's when Loona texts him to be picked up some hours later. Which is why he says "You have no idea the kind of night I've had", Which makes these wholesome moments between Loona and Blitz so much more impactful to me, that despite how he's failed so many in his life till now, he is doing so much for Loona in what way he can and improving, and that he isn't just alone like everyone at Asmodius' place thought of him

The copyright issues came from the fact it was KE$HA of all people to voice bee. Copywrites meant she couldn’t sing ‘Cotton Candy’ despite co-writing it. The issues came from fining someone else to sing the song as well as the “die young” video Vivzipop made years ago.
And regarding Beelze's shadow silhoette reminding you of someone, it was similar to Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel. And the 2 of the 3 mean girl dogs also had similarities to Hazbin characters namely Vaggie & Velvet

the silhouette is very similar to angel dust which is why it probbaly looked familiar. this character is not from hazbin hotel, its a redesign of a character viv made for an animated video of one of keshas songs. Queen bee is voiced by Kesha so im assuming thats where the legal issues lie.

The reason the episode took so long is because the song was written by Kesha so they had to wait for the lawsuit to settle before releasing the episode.

i Dont know if it was already said but the reaason this was delayed was because of the Song was written by ke$ha and something with her musiclabel and her being in a legal battle.
Funfact: There is a One Piece reference in this.. because of her weird powers.. she definitely ate the "Honey-Honey" Devilfruit. :>

5:55 would've loved if that was true but the TL;DR for why this episode took so long to release was basically Music copyright hell as Ke$ha was to sing these 2 songs, but also in the middle of a lawsuit with her ex-prodcuer (toxic as hell btw), it ended with Viv needing to find a different VA to do the singing but Ke$ha could keep her regular speaking lines. The 2 songs with Ke$ha actually singing does exist, but will probably be a long while before anything can get released.

A lot of people were shocked at the time that she was able to get Ke$ha, but I honestly wasn't. At that point they'd already got Richard Horvitz, Norman Reedus, Broadway Stars, I think Jafar played Stolas dad - she has friends in high places, that's for sure. I bet she was able to get Weird Al to play Lucifer like she always wanted
