Never been a fan of Britney but this makes me reapprise her music. Can seem like a strange choice from Ethel but it's not. If you think what Britney went through with her family, they're less different than one may think. At least from that point of view. Maybe covering something by Britney Spears has a meaning beyond the music itself.
I don't know much about this artist. She might be really great with her own songs, but this remake covers whatever you want to call; it is terrible. The original is so beautiful. This cover I can barely hear her sing through all that dizzying melody if that's what you want to call it. It's like she's trying to channel Sarah McLaughlin and Enya. From a marketing standpoint, she chose the right song by a huge artist who's giving or going to bring her traffic to her own music. Let's hope her own music is better. It can't be worse in my humble opinion.
