Wow, Chino's voice sounds better than I've EVER heard it at a live show. That's fucking insane? Did he take singing lessons or something? He hits almost every note, never runs out breath even on Engine No 9, and is totally in the moment. That almost makes me want to cry to see how deep in their career these guys are they're still on top of their game, not just in the studio but live. There were some periods in the past where chino just wasn't coming correct live, but he has clearly overcome whatever those struggles were that held him back because he is in top form here! really, really, REALLY impressive to see this!
He just gave his voice 2 years of rest. He's got fresh chords to shred. He's Chino - that's what he does. Check in with the tour in 2 months and you'll probably recognize his concert vocals again. I love his vocals live even when is voice is a little trashed from lots of days of hard screaming, though.
On point! His voice seems to be getting better especially on this tour. The Greek show in LA was insane! He killed it when they finally played "Lovers"! 100 percent on this statement.
Man, I said the same! I saw them in Pittsburgh and was blown to bits. He keeps leveling up. He has even done some false-chord screams recently when he performed with Gojira. I didn’t know he was still capable after paralyzing one of his vocal-chords back in the early 2000s. My favorite musician of all-time, especially for the longevity.
Our man Chino is 48 and the rest of the boys are around that age. I’m just so glad they keep doing this man, OHMS was sick. Big up Crosses too. Reform Palms. Come back to UK 😂
I am a metalhead that has gone to hundreds of the heaviest and craziest bands around and let me tell you, not many bands made a crowd go as insane as Deftones. I think the craziest I've ever seen a crowd was during My Own Summer when I saw them at Carolina Rebellion
My husband introduced me to them and now I am a true fan just like my husband he's been a fan since he's 15 years old. We went to our first concert in Seattle, Washington. We love it!!
I made a comment earlier that seeing them Live was on my Bucket List. I really tried this year but money was just too tight. Hopefully I'll make it to the next Tour. Peace.✌

The backing vocals and the second guitar let Chino free to focus on singing and the man is SHARP. Honestly, this is probably their best performance I’ve seen so far and that is extremely surprising. They’re my favorite band ever and they just showed us that they plan to stay for a while. I’m genuinely happy.

I saw them in their early years with Korn. Also every album that came out. For mosh pits they follow Slayer and Pantera for intense fans. It makes me surprised and happy that they are still Touring. I just turned 46 and will see them again. Thanks for the upload they are killing it
Those van tours with korn must've been awesome to experience. I saw deftones with will haven in late 97 which was great too, but I always wanted to see skinny chino with dreads and flawless voice going nuts

But they brought it. I'll say the same thing I said about Tool earlier this year: this band is still at its peak. The touring bassist did fine. We will miss Sergio Vega. In 18 days, I'll be seeing them on a pier rooftop in Manhattan with a crowd maybe one-fourth this size (1000 people tops). It will be really special. Delayed two years, this will be the longest delay between buying a ticket and seeing a show I've experienced - about 21 months.
Went to Tool in Pittsburgh on 03/01/22 I’d be torn so much if I had to choose between Tool, Deftones or NIN if they happened to be on the same night in neighboring cities. Best show I’ve ever seen was APC opening for NIN
Have to catch them on this tour. Saw them progress in the 90s. Saw them at Berkeley Square then the Henry J Kaiser and finally shoreline. Haven’t seen them since the very early 2000s
It’s a different experience seeing them live now compared to back When they/we were young. I love them, will forever swear by them, I have tattoos all over My body with deftones stuff. but back Then the shows weren’t as up there quality wise as they are today, probably having to do with all the technology we have currently
I have seen about 5 or 6 videos of them opening with Genesis. Could someone tell the FOH engineer how easy it is to set a time delay for when CM says "Balance!"? You just hit the "tap tempo" button like four times, then just twist the aux send on that one word? It's unbelievable how that little detail, which is insanely easy to do - and is a huge hook in the song - is wrong like EVERY time.
Yeah I’m waiting for radiant city, seems like an obvious choice for live show. Ceremony was like third single? I wouldn’t mind they replace Genesis with Ceremony.

Yeah unfortunately something happened with a mic at the beginning of the show for deftones then they fixed it half way thru. It was a overhead mic making all that noise I believe, sounded muffled and also way too loud then way better towards then end
Sadly it looks like they won't add it. But you never know. If they played either Minerva or its musical cousin Romantic Dreams, I would shriek like a little girl.
Being a long time Deftones fan and a Sacramento native, it sucks that they never play their hometown anymore. According to my year in rewind from Spotify, I was in their top 0.5% of listeners form 2021. Glad to see them going at it still!
I hated that album forever. It was the only Deftones album I didn’t own on cd. Then this year I made a full Deftones albums playlist, and as of right now it’s my favorite haha! I guess I just had to catch up to it.

Self titled album is the best and hardest. I still cant believe he pulled off Bloody Cape so well at the end. They did great in seattle. Wish their BASSIST of 12 years was playing with them though.... sigh.. can't blame him.
