Thanks for the taste test, Jon. I typically have an apple every day for lunch, and I LOVE sweet and crispy, so I'll keep my eyes open for the SugarBee apples.
I work at Sprouts Farmers Market, and we got all of em atm. Sugarbee is my all time favorite. Ive become quite the apple connoisseur since working there.
Thanks for your reviews! I tried out the Envy today and I love how you describe it - it really is "what a Red Delicious should be" - that is so spot on! I didn't know about Honeycrisps fracturing, btw, how interesting.
I found out my favorite Apple are Gala Apples! I love any sweet apple. Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and the yellow apples are my least favorite. I haven't seen any “Lucy Rose”, "Envy", “SugarBee” or “SnapDragon” apples yet, but I'll keep my eyes peeled!
They have their store stickers still on... Does that mean they didn't get washed beforehand? A quick pass with wet baking soda takes the glycerine and *whatever else* right off. Stay safe and keep making cool videos 👍👍 🍎
Angela Peniska Golden Delicious and McIntosh have softer flesh than most. Gala have medium crispness and fairly tender skins. Many of the summer ripening apples available in August and September like Rambo and Paula Red or Jersey Macs are softer too.
@@TheProduceGeek I found another apple for you guys to try Lucy Glo. this one has more of an orange/pinkish outside but red inside. and different taste than a Rose. I loving the apple
dhfan1977 yea, those are great too. Tart-sweet like a Granny Smith. I thought about including them in our next video but the grower is winding down on supply for the season.
Jazz Apple, is Really Good!!!!

Huh, the Lucy Rose apples I’ve seen around here look totally different. Yellow skin.
Mittens the tan skin, red flesh ones are called Lucy Glo - tart-sweet, fruity tones and crunchy
