Awesome video, I have been struggling for days to find a video that tells me where was my Camshaft position sensor and finally I found it. I cannot believe in all other A3s the sensor is right there, so easy to change and in this model I'll cost me an arm and a leg to replace something so simple and cheap. It's crazy how the make you take the whole belt and everything off just for a sensor. Anyway, thanks for the video, it was really good.
Previous owner of my car got it changed once. I’ve had it changed twice. All due to mileage recommendations. I had no idea it was such a complicated task. Respect to all those mechanics out there. (But not the cowboys).
Sorry, one more thing, (most likely stupid question), if I just want to replace the camshaft position sensor could I get away with removing less stuff or is it the same if I just need to do the sensor? Thank you for your help.
@@petrisalakka it's quite a stupid design to be honest, my car (exact make, model, and engine) has a camshaft position sensor fault for over 3 years now (though it still runs ok-ish, just down on power), and I don't think the car is worth the cost of having this job done in man hours alone.
Where i can find measuring blocks with correct synchronization value. What is correct synchro value for this engine its count high signal of crankshaft sensor signal to halla camshaft sensor.

this gasked i change fot rubber seal for cutting. the same with the oil pan gasket. Originally there was a plastic gasked (works bad) and pan gasked is RTV

Zip ties round the cam and timimg belt and just loosen the middle bolt, no need to remove timing belt, if you not replacing or if it is new :) ,

9:45 marks are on clutch (hole in clutch housing) and on wheel pulley

En o varma mutta uskosin jos on ollut ECUn mukaan tarpeeksi paha tai jatkuva. Ei anna käynnistyä ennenkuin vika korjataan ja kuitataan.

Need to replace my rocker cover gasket but this engine is build so stupidly! Would be a easy fix in most other engines but not this
