Hey pro tip for installing cushcore. Go to a hardware store and buy a 4” scissor clamp that has the dangling rubber feet on the end. Remove the feet and then you can use the clamp to safely and easily pull the tire back to drop the bead into the rim channel and unseat the bead when you want to remove the tire. Oh and get steel core tire levers with plastic outsides. Everyone else’s videos are garbage. I installed CC in five minutes, with no sweat, no stress, and no harsh words with this method. I keep the tool in my car in case i need to remove and install a tube. Happy days
Also, didn’t know aliexpress sold maxxis. Thanks! Might need to pick up a dh assegai
I left mine at 27.5! Over stroked the rear to make it 187 and have both a coil and air super deluxe ultimate! 7:02 and change the front dual crown to 200t red Abel. And now gave it a 190 Zeb ultimate! Changed can’t arms to 155 hopes. And changed the front chainring to 36t. Changed wheels to spank wheels and 350 hubs. It’s great to get a bike just the way you want! Everything else is the same as I bought! And got an extra 500w battery!
Steel stwnxhion super deluxe?
@@OtterMTBtech nope whatever the new one is.
Thank you. DH casing ALWAYS. Even on xc bikes. Especially on the wife's bike. No flats. Wive's hate flats.
Preach Brother
Thanks for comment, Forgot about the flat protection 1 flat in 4 years 🍻
Yup. Ebikes need all the heaviest and strongest parts. 100%
it’s actully true tho, if i want to ride the e bike how i really want to, i need burly stuf
They must be good there's so few in good condition on the used market around here. Usually people here don't keep em for that long...
Hey dog where you at?
The Kenevo riders I all knew are now riding Levos and rate them. A bit like the people going Stumpy over Enduros.
Need that mezzer review!!!!
DH casing tyres always on a Kenevo! Even if rough, janky trails were not your thing, the Kenevo will make them your thing.
I've been running CushCore for so many years, I'm use to the damping and feel. I've never had a bad experience with my carbon wheels. There's a shop I use and the tech is a gorilla of a man. He swaps my tires with CushCore by hand in minutes. He just installed Continental Kryptotals like it was a .01 balloon.
I've seen other techs bloody their hands trying to get the tire on with CushCore.
Thanks for comment, that was what I was trying to describe damped feel. The DH casing have that feel, with a Cush core it is to much
Love the Kenevo 👌🤤
What’s your setup or bike?
@@OtterMTBtech Gen 2 Kenevo Comp 21 model.
27.5 front/rear, tyres - specialized Grid Gravity. Got rid of the codes for Maguras. In the process of getting a RS super deluxe coil - the fox dpx2 is absolutely shit for my 95kg weight.
I can't fault the Marzocchi Z1 fork but we'll see how it pairs up with the rear coil.
I was riding clips for years but now using Deity T Mac flats paired with 5 Tens - loving it!!
@@OtterMTBtechhave you had any experience with the DVO JADE X?
Ya, it is awesome little shock, but missing hsc the new one has it. Old one has 3 position compression.bladder piggy back helps small bump
Hate to say it, but im not a CC fan for obvious reasons... but I'm a HUGE fan of OG vittoria airliners!!!!! Gamechanger!!!!!!
Is that the zip tie getting rig thing? I saw those. Does it feel different?
The value of a carbon wheel is not having to tru it every weekend. Even the Fr541 in the rear isnt tough enough for a hard charger on a ebike... At least for me anyways.
Ok, not a wheel guy, both wheels wobble
Wandering bite point on shimano brakes made me switch back to sram, been loving the new levels.
😂
What brakes you talking about? XT do not
@@OtterMTBtech all the new shimano higher end MTB brakes. Search the web, I'm not the only one. Mine were great for a year, crap after. Weekly brake bleeds using bulk shop supplies and it still kept happening.
Great video.. (I have a 2021 Kenevo 29er 6'4") How does a 230 x 57.5 shock steepen the HA? You just reduced the travel.. The geometry is actually pretty horrible for riding at slower speeds, but who does that? .It almost impossible to get the HA at 63 deg..A 180mm old Boxxer is about the only way. I'm running a fox 40 at 190mm EXT( E-Stroria Rear).. My HA is around 62. With a 170 zeb, it's around 61.5. Been a lot of playing around with it.. Still love it vs the Levo. SC forks have 20-30mm more crown width which really doesn't effect the HA all that much. A 2.6 rear tire and a 2.4 front tire makes more of a different.. rides like crap though.. back to 2.4 DH tires.
Travel is the irrelevant factor. 170 fork, 230x57.5 shock, flip chip low. Maxxis 2.5 front and rear get’s it’s to 63 head angle with 365-370 bb.
High bb was hard to adjust to, but it is awesomeness after that adjustment period.
The good news is if you don’t measure it you CAN NOT really feel any difference.
I swap 160 forks in to make video or. 230x65 shock whatever I can Get.
160 forks brings head angle to 65
🙄
Guys get hung up in theory try it first!
You have the magic shock, only upgrade worth its salt.
Best
I have only just mulleted my 2020 Kenevo and put off going full 29 as you can only run 2.4 width tyres in the rear can't you?
2.6 it's close but fits
Those are 2.5 Maxxis. If you rail berms it can rub into chain stays, but so does the enduro
What's the main benefits over just mulleting it with a 29" fork on the front? Btw great videos as I've been a subscriber for months 👏
Carries more speed, monster truck rock gardens. Corrects head angle steeper. Mullet good too
@@OtterMTBtech I will trial the mullet with my Fox 38 and standard DPX2 shock in high for a while but my first impressions are great like this 👍
