Discover Google Ads Ad Group Best Practices so you can maximize your roas and drive more conversions. In this video, I will go through 5 different tips and strategies related to Google Ads Ad Groups.
1. Create Ad Groups Based on the Topic of Your Landing Pages:
- Use landing page themes to create organized ad groups.
2. Your Keywords, Your Ads, and Your Landing Pages Should Be Aligned in Each
Ad Group
- Create a seamless experience for potential customers.
- I recommend targeting Phrase Match keywords for most advertisers.
3. Always Be Testing Either Your Ads or Your Landing Pages
- Create multiple ads in each ad group and A/B test to improve results.
4. Use Negative Keywords
- Monitor your search terms report and exclude keywords that don't convert.
5. Use Ad Group Level Ad Assets
- Add sitelink assets, callout assets, and more at the ad group level.

1 query please - Can I have 6-8 different AD groups leading to "same landing page".
Ex : That landing page has "Dresses" which are Maxi dresses also, Midi dresses also, Designer also, Western dresses also, Cotton dresses also etc. So all these "themes" match with the Single landing page. Please advice :)
Note - These Dresses are these themes "by nature" - "not style". I mean Maxi n Midi are very very similar categories. Western, Cotton, Designer, Casual are all terms which directly define these Dresses. So I can't segregate these dresses further on website.
Thank you! Yes, you can definitely do this. In this case, just make sure your ads and keywords match in those different Ad Groups and it's no problem if you use the same landing page across different Ad Groups. I wish I thought of something similar to your example before I made the video, that would be a good example to show!
I realized that with Chat GPT it is really hard to get more then 1000 words when you want chat gpt to write a blog.
Do you face this issue as well and how do you handle it?
They have an option to Continue Generating so I will usually use that if it freezes. I actually think ChatGPT does better if you tell it to write sections of blog posts rather than the entire blog post. I've been using Claude.ai more often as well and I like their outputs better recently. The other option is to get ChatGPT to make an outline for your blog post and then I will use a prompt like "Can you write this section of my blog post about the topic ____. Write with simple language that's easy to read and understand. Write this section of my blog post: [PASTE OUTLINE SECTION]"
