This was amazing. Thank you so much.
*Thank you.*
Been scratching the surface on G ads for years, never really dove too deep into them, but today I find I need to know about QS. This is an extremally well done video. The depth, the pace, the info, everything. Bravo.
I'm going to reach out and talk with you about some coaching.
Thanks, 🤘
Thanks so much for the great message. Would love to learn more about your situation and take you on as a student if it makes sense - shoot me an email (alex@darlingtongrowth.com)! 😄

i am very satisfied for this video. thank you for this wonderful video for my self.
Great explanation, thanks!
Thank god I found this video. It is a clear roadmap!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video on the most important topic of Google Ads. It was helpful. Keep making these long videos.
Thanks Hasan! More coming soon.
Hi alex, thank you for your video and resource, it's super helpful. Actually, I'm having trouble my CPC is so high right now, so I find ways to optimize my qs. I have 3 ad groups within a campaign, with 6 keywords each. Few got qs above 7, while there is also with 2 and 3 qs. Do you recommend or is it worth to just remove the keywords with bad qs
Did you find out what is best to do, I have the same issue
Awesome video. Stupid random question: what program did you use to make the presentation. I like how the graphics interacted with the mouse hover.
Also, if we make some of these changes. How long should it take for quality score to improve. I am at 3/10 with some of my keywords. Should it change instantly or over a few weeks?
So this presentation is fully made in php and is accessible here - tenscores.com/quality-score/
In terms of quality score, I'd expect it to improve every 2 weeks if you are making the right kind of changes. So 3/10 -> 2 weeks -> 4/10 -> 2 weeks -> 5/10, but as you get higher and higher, that rate of improvement is going to go down. Let me know if that makes sense!
Thank you very much! LOOVE this! I have 7 and above on quality score for almost all of my keywords, and an average of 10-12% CTR on my campaigns, but I feel like I don't rank high enough still. I know I need to work on my website some more.
Also, some times i still find myself struggling to get higher rates. Today for example, it felt like my campaigns had NO EXPOSUREEE at all, compared to all the other days, i ended up getting close to no calls, and overall a loss for the day. Do you know why this happens sometimes? I'm scared its a sign something wrong is up and Ill need to make bigger changes than I know.
That can definitely be alarming. Feel free to give me an email with more context!
Hello!! Thannks! I sent you the email with the necessary details and questions regarding your service (it's signed with the name "Hanine" at the end). Thank you and hope to hear from you soon!
Also, to add to the email: does your google ads management cover 1 session per month, and would that mean that I can fire you an email with a question or two if needed throughout?

Good video thanks
You're welcome
Still a gem video
Extremely interesting topic and exactly the info I was missing! However, the fact that you "read out" the "marketing" info of a single platform makes it a promotional video. xD
Thanks for watching! Let me know if this longer form style works. I'm worried about the quality loss of having it less concise. So far it seems better than pure slide content.

What should you be testing between the 2-3 ads within each ad group? I'm using a responsive search ad, so already have multiple different images, headlines, and ad descriptions being tested. So, if I were to create a second ad what would set it appart from the first?
Tone of voice - Try using ChatGPT to rewrite your headlines in the voice of famous advertisers.
Value props - Pinning different value props to understand which the audience cares about more
FETA - Also called Fake ETA, where you only pin three headlines.
Just some ideas
Great video!! I have a question: because exact match isn’t exact anymore, how will I keep a high QS if we show up for other search terms that aren’t exactly the same? Thank you!
Thank you! So, yes exact match isn't as precise as it used to be, but you can still achieve and maintain a max (10/10 or whatever for your niche) QS as long as you achieve:
1. High CTR (20%+)
2. High page speed and conversion rate on your landing page
3. Tight and relevant KWs within copywriting
awesome video glad i clicked on it before trying google ads
thanks !
Hey mate, thanks for these great videos.
I'm having some trouble increasing the QS of some of my ads. I've recently tried to break things down into SKAGs/IBAGs but I'm a bit uncertain as to how to properly get my ad groups sorted. How do you usually go about deciding when to create a new ad group or to just include more phrase or exact match keywords into an already existing ad group?
For example, I'm running an ads account for a client who sells coffee beans online. I created an ad group for "Coffee Beans" and included exact matches like [specialty coffee beans]. I also have another ad group for "Organic Coffee Beans", but is that unnecessary? Should that just be incorporated into "Coffee Beans"?
Sorry for the long-winded question, but would really appreciate any input on this.
Cheers!
Hey there, thanks for watching! So for that situation, I'd be most thoughtful about the intent behind the search and customizing my ad copy against that. Someone looking for organic coffee beans will only click on something that reinforces the product is organic. Similar for specialty, they are saying something different than your regular coffee bean, so the journey you bring them on with copy and lander should reflect that.
Hey@@DarlingtonMedia, thanks so much for this response. I'm still a bit unclear about what Google considers a "good" ad. I've tried to make the copy as relevant to the keywords I'm bidding for as possible, but I'm still only getting 3/10 and 5/10 on QS (weirdly, however, my Ad Relevancy is "Above Average").
The landing page I'm using is the e-commerce page showcasing the selection of coffee beans (and I've changed it up for more specific keywords such as "Decaf Coffee" so that the landing page is the decaf product).
I feel a bit at wit's end trying to figure out what I need to change or do differently going forward.
Feel free to send me an email with some more details! Alex@darlingtongrowth.com

🙏 thank you
So VALUABLE content, thank you for this super clean explanation! 🙏Good job, looking forward to more videos! ✨
This video has a quality score of 10.
superb
I re did my ads and made specific themed ad groups with a specific ad.. google ads says the ad strength is poor.. should i not worry about that and test it anyway?
This is really great, very insightful, especially that group ad by intent. I am the person you talked about with 3/10 and 5/10 scores. Luckily I don't have 2/10 lol. Quick question, you mentioned about historical CTR, any idea where I can find this info for my industry? Also, do you think recent google performance max campaign might be a good idea? where I don't really need to worry about choosing keywords.
Thanks in advance!!!
So great question, couple ways to do find Historical/Expected CTR data. Try the forecasting tool within Google Keyword Planner (free) for the keywords that you have in mind. There are also some tools like SpyFu which can estimate the CTR that other advertisers in your space are getting on those keywords, as well as some industry trends/breakdown reports from places like SEMRush where they can dig into CTR data. MY advice is be scrappy here.
On improving those 3/10 and 5/10 scores really using what I expand on in the channel is the best way to go, with the tl;dr being extensions, negative keywording low CTR low conversion volume SEARCH TERMS (in addition to keywords) and using Responsive Search Ads is going to get you pretty far. I would be personally happy with a 1 QS pump every couple of weeks if doing all of the above, might be faster or lower (or hit a ceiling) based on industry for example legal usually caps out in 7/10 unless you're a god.
@@DarlingtonMedia Thanks a lot!
@@DarlingtonMedia The forecast tool often give me unbelievably high CTR rate and low CPC. Some people say it is unreliable, but now I start feeling it is because my own issue lol
@@samzhao1684 Honestly if you are crushing it and not trying to scoop the low bids, 20%+ CTR is possible in any industry.
@@DarlingtonMedia Hey man, hope all is well. I have been implementing various things in the past month, regrouping keywords, checking matches, etc. I was able to make one of my keywords 8/10 QS, however, I'm still seeing a >80% impress share lost due to Rank for this keyword in specific. I'm super confused as I was told that the lost impression was because the QS was low. Do you happen to have any other video/advice for this situation?
Thanks in advance!!
Sam
So you recommend 3 RSA:s per adgroup?
Hello it is really good explanation. But my question is how can i improve to make betters ads description, any trick on how to spy and learn the best from them. To help rewrite ads better
Thank you! I'd use spyfu to get competitor ad copy and chatgpt for inspiration
Thank you for this video, it could have been 10 minutes and given the same great information. When you speak, you speak at a good pace but you have incredibly long pauses. This prevents being able to watch at 2x to compensate. I do value the information though.
I appreciate that!
Google Stuff. But you talk a lot about ad copy and having 3 ads per ad group. Didn't RSA ads replace everything your talking about when it comes to having 2-3 ads? And where do you standing on pinning in RSA's? For pinning top 2 headlines or are you against pinning?
All of the above except the part about responsive search ads replacing things. They are the only option we have but that does not mean you have to have only one per ad group. You can take multiple different voices / povs / approaches within your RSAs and experiment that way. Pinning / FETA or forcing certain messages is one way of doing that.
I have a good quality score for keywords with 0 clics. So literally 0% CTR but Google says my on page experience is great... how can that be?
Typically this is based on your account history and is your starting point.
oh ok.. I didnt know that. Thank you@@DarlingtonMedia
How can I increase ad relevance if that keyword has trademark
Usually it's pretty hard. Your ad relevance will be capped out at average or even below average. Match searcher intent in other ways
