In this video, I provide 12 proven tips to help you lower your Google Ads cost-per-click (CPC) without sacrificing performance. I explain how savvy advertisers like you can gain an edge on the competition and maximize your ad budget efficiency.
First, I stress the importance of researching low-cost yet relevant keywords using tools like Keyword Planner. Bidding on broad and phrase match keywords can also yield lower CPCs for you.
I highlight smart bidding strategies like Target CPA and Target ROAS as essential for you to keep costs in check. The key is you setting appropriate max CPC bids to maintain volume at your desired CPC.
I share how creating tightly themed, well-organized campaigns and ad groups makes it easier for you to craft relevant ads and landing pages. This relevance improves your quality score and lowers your CPC minimums.
I also advise testing multiple ads per ad group and leveraging all relevant ad extensions to boost your CTR and ad prominence. Analyzing search terms guides your addition of negative keywords to block irrelevant high-CPC searches.
Using competitor analysis tools provides you insights into average CPCs you can aim to beat. Retargeting your past visitors and custom audience lists fetch higher-converting clicks for less.
Finding the right budget to maximize your conversions without overspending is another CPC optimization I highlight. Ad scheduling and location bid adjustments further refine your CPCs.

Hey Corey, what third party tracker do you recommend to use with google ads?

I generally just work with the data from Google Ads and Google Analytics. I use the Google Ads pixel or GTM to set up conversion tracking because GA4 conversion tracking can have delays. There are tools like Triple Whale, but it's hard for me to justify the cost of some of these tools.

Can you please tell me, based on your experience, if the forecast aligns with the actual figures? In the keyword planner, even the minimum cost-per-click for showing on the top of the page is significantly higher than in the forecast. Does the forecast really reflect the reality, assuming all conditions for good conversion are met, such as a well-designed landing page and high-quality ads?

It depends on what you are promoting and your overall competition.. Great offers whether they are products or services will perform better than poor offers. I like using the forecast, but I generally expect my campaign to end up different than the forecast and slightly worse than the forecast.

Running Amazon Associates offers through Google Ads can be a viable strategy, leveraging the vast reach and targeting options available on Google's platform. However, it's crucial to comply with both Google Ads and Amazon Associates policies to ensure smooth and successful promotion.

We just paid 6 euros for an 8 euro product, and 9 euros for a 15 euro product. This after getting help from a Google advisor haha. Where is the problem and how can I fix this?

What campaign type is it? That happens with me for Performance Max. If it’s Performance Max, I always start with smaller budgets and scale up because this is always an issue with new campaigns. For some of the other campaign types you can set Max bids with a portfolio bid strategy.

It seems there might be an issue with your pricing strategy or advertising costs that's leading to higher expenses compared to the product prices. To resolve this, it's essential to review your pricing structure, advertising campaign settings, and targeting criteria to ensure they align more effectively.
