    Ok. You have my full attention when you said you could connect it to an external heartrate chestbelt. Please be so kind and tell me: was it easy to connect and could a Garmin Hrm Dual also probably be connected? Yes i know it's not the best. But i am not pro runner :)
    Thank you in advance for replying.

      I was able to connect it to the Garmin HRM Pro which is very similar without any issues. I think as long as it's bluetooth enabled you should be good to go. Thanks for watching!

    Great job! I’ve been watching for this one. Spo2 at night option for sleep? And man - you continually perfect things - like the simple logo blurr/fade intro.

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  4 роки тому +3

      You can enable all day HR and SPO2 but it totally destroys the battery life. I personally don't find SPO2 data all that useful but I'm sure people with sleep conditions would. I will say that the SPO2 sensor on the Pro 3 seems WAY more accurate than my Garmins and repeatedly would pull 99%. My Garmin's always vary and can sway from 90-100% within seconds of eachother. Thanks for watching!

It look to be the best WearOS but not just the perfect training too which is sad that not any watch deliver all the feature you would love. Personnally heading toward GritX or Venue. GritX have a better look and is more sturdy but lack important feature Venue have.

    Thanks for the review. I've ordered this watch, but I'd have some questions. How long can you run with it? I mean hours... Can you charge it while running? Because I also run ultramarathons occasionally.

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  4 роки тому +3

      Mobvoi doesn't advertise GPS on time but I saw a drain of around 8% per hour when using the watch while running. So I'd bet you'll get around 8-10 hours of GPS-ON time. That said, this number can vary quite a bit depending what apps you have running and how often the screen will turn on. Charging it while running would be challenging as it's a magnetic connection and can fall off. Hope that helps!

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  4 роки тому +3

      I think you've got that right. The Wear OS platform gives the TicWatch Pro 3 a ton of flexibility in terms of what apps you can install. As others have commented you can download apps like "ViewRanger" that provide offline mapping capabilities along with a TON of other stuff like offline music. The Venu is certainly more catered towards the fitness crowd and can do SOME of the smart stuff but not all of it. Thanks for watching!

      Personally I find it annoying. I'm sending my tw3 back because when I look at my watch I can't see my heart rate without tapping or clicking. Also, the watch faces are have so many details and difficult to see at a glance. Maybe my watch isn't as bright as it's supposed to be but I find I have to keep tapping the screen since it's only on for a couple of seconds. AOD isn't really always on either, I still have the default screen I have to tap through.

    after 9 months, the Tic Watch Pro 3 overheated and stopped working only after going for a 10 min swim in a pool at surface level. Surface Level!! I've showered once or twice with it before with no problems. Now Tic Watch support is telling me it is my fault and will not replace under the 12 month warranty! this is terrible support. I did not go diving with the watch, only swam at surface for a few minutes as it IS rated to be able to do so.

    I discovered that using Google Pay on Tic Watch Pro 3 requires screenlock/pin access for navigating everything on the watch, not just the Google Pay app. This is annoying because you need to keep entering your pin# every time you want to do anything with your watch apps, even if you're not paying for something. I wish the Google OS required the security pin# only when using Google Pay, the way Samsung Pay works on the Galaxy watch line (Tizen). I still haven't seen a UA-cam product review that caught this small but frustrating design flaw.

    Which would you say is the BEST and most accurate watch for running in terms of GPS and heart rate accuracy? I currently have a Garmin 245 but considering the 945 mostly. But now I’m also considering the Fenix Pro, this watch and maybe the Apple Watch 6. Which would you recommend? Thank you and amazing reviews

    • @ChaseTheSummit
      @ChaseTheSummit  4 роки тому

      Best and Accurate aren't really the same thing. For instance I like to wear the Garmin Fenix 6 and it's probably the least accurate in terms of GPS but has a ton of other functions I find valuable for my needs. If you're just looking for RAW GPS performance the best I've seen so far has come from the new Garmin Forerunner 745. That said, it's a $500 watch and the Garmin Forerunner 945 is currently on sale for $515 which has wayyyyy more features. the 945 is probably the best deal running right now!

      iPhone gets 95% of the functionality. What you don't get is the ability to respond to text messages directly from the watch. This is a limitation Apple has put in place to preserve their precious Apple Watch 😬

  • @dreamingrightnow1174
    @dreamingrightnow1174 3 роки тому

    The best reviewers, hands down, are the runners. But that's a bummer because I really want something I can track my heart fitness through a variety of activities from yard work to yoga, tai chi, aerobics and swimming. I don't need to get calls or anything that my phone does. Those are nice I guess but seem to complicate things too much. I can put my phone in a fanny pack and use my watch to see how my respiration and heart rates through those activities and see heart zones and those kind of details and I'm pretty good. I do want a watch that's waterproof and I don't have to be concerned about swimming though. So deciding the best choice for $300 or less? That's the hard part.
