I looked at so many reviews and you are ONLY one that give good info and not talk about one thing for 30min and repeat yourself. Thank you for this Review. got a sub from me.
I've been rocking my Tic watch pro for over a year now and love it. Having LTE and Google assistant on my wrist is awesome. Can't wait to pick up this one when LTE is released.
What benefits have you gotten in a real life scenario from having a LTE watch? I know what it allows you to do but just wondering about real life uses/feedback
@@1907squid Well I can't bring my cell phone in to my work so I get all my texts routed to my watch. I can do all the house things like turn on my A/C, lights and open and close my garage and lock or open my doors. And if I would happen to lose my phone I have a back up phone on my wrist just in case. Yes your battery life won't last as long but the piece of mind it gives me is worth it.
@@1907squid tbh I only got it for looks. Plus while I'm driving I can just look at my wrist for notifications. Also I get annoyed taking out my phone to look at time and weather. So looking at it instantly is so much better. I don't really use the fitness feature but it's cool to check my heart rate and stuff from time to time. Overall if you got some money to spare I recommend it just to make life a little easier and add a little design to your outfits.
Hi! If you care about my experience I can tell you this. I've had four smart watches in total, Sonys third gen, samsung's galaxy watch 2nd gen, amazfit gts and ticwatch s2. I loved the build quality and the looks and Samsung galaxy watch but tizen just doesn't work well if you want a watch for notifications. If someone writes you 2 messages or more you can only read the last one, this was a deal breaker for me. The amazfit gts has a battery life of up to 14 days but with my experience it's more like 12 days, you can also get notifications on the GTS but it's read-only, you can't reply and their app is pretty bad since you can't turn it off no matter what you do. It will always run in the background. The ticwatch had the best UI but I got tired of charging my watch every day. So if you get the new ticwatch I would say that's the safest bet.
@@sdrawkcabmiay Because it only worked with messenger and sms for me. I even called Samsung support to reclaim the watch and they said that it's up to the app-maker to implement that whatsapp doesn't have an official app for tizen
I think the backlight is a very dim oled... basically the oled display as a very dark background colour.. I heard it's a dedicated light but I don't believe that, I think it's the oled as a backlight for the AOD
I've seen reviews where the time on the low-power screen is in 24hr mode, others where it's in 12hr mode. They all show the date in MM DD notation and Mobvoi support has told me there is no way to change that. Shame because I prefer DD MM.
Does this allow for periodic blood oxygen tracking while sleeping? For those of us that have sleep apnea, this would be a useful metric to have. And does it allow for syncing that information with google fit? Or only through the mobvoi app?
How does it work with Msft and Google authenticator apps? As a tech working for a Managed Service Provider I spemd a lot of time grabbing for my phone to manually type in a number or hit approve for multifactor authentication. Plus, we are pushing our clients to adopt mfa. At this point I won't buy a watch that doesn't do a good job supporting mfa apps.
How many days can you get with bluetooth /wifi and other stuff turned off? Like, you only use heartrate monitoring & sleep detection with watch faces on.
Wow didnt know about this brand or watch. Seems pretty neat. What glass are they using? Apple users dont care about price. Once it has the Apple logo it is worth it.
The only thing keeping me from buying the ticwatch is reliability issues and their lack of extended warranty options. Their service is also not great from what I hear. If they could solve those issues and add a rotating button or bezel, it will be the watch to buy but ofcourse it might also cost more
Nice to see an always on display. That's the one feature I've been missing from the smartwatch space. That said I will lement the loss of pebble. I still haven't found anything to match the functionality and battery life of it. If I have an amazing OLED screen on my phone, I don't necessarily need it on my wrist too. I would love to see a pebble style watch come out again.
Nice review. Thanks. Do you also have any information on how the fitness tracking is reported in the TicWatch app? Does the app supply summaries and statistics of workouts?
i have the original ticwatch pro, and the app, and i can say yes it does. it depends whether said summaries are useful to you though thats a more personal thing

Juan bagnell: in your opinion how vital or gimmicky is the ecg function for wearables? Be they apple good wear or samsung ? Trying to determine if it's worth the 300 dollar extra towards a galaxy watch 3 titanium. Not a fan of samsungs heavy handed OS and I was wondering how much the tic pulse app could be a fill in for the app EKG sensor. My family has a heart health trouble history a mile long so trying to gather as much info as I can to determine gimmick or useful.
I can't speak to the Gear, and I don't think any WearOS have ECG yet? But the AppleWatch can be helpful at detecting some issues. I know ElJefeReviews got an alert from his watch and there was a concerning issue that he needed to see a doctor. It shouldn't be used in place of a good relationship with a physician, but it seems to be worth looking into.

the second screen only shows you the time date and steps etc. you cant interact with it. its an always on display, thats all, which happens to be very battery efficient because its a typical digital watch lcd. so in essence, it behaves like a smartwatch when you turn it on, and a normal watch at all other times.

I don't think there will be any new Wear OS version. I think Google is noticing Full Android Watches are getting better and better and acknowledges, that as the hardware advances, the future is going to be a full Android.
This might be true outside of the United States but inside the US almost nobody knows what a full Android watch is. I'm a fan personally. they're inexpensive and they can do almost anything. I have Nova launcher on mine with a very quick Google Assistant. The limitations of course are Bluetooth calling And basically it's not very good as a paired watch. I understand they're popular in China
@@michaelcorcoran8768 You're right about the popularity, their not common at all in Europe either. I believe what stops them from being more popular is the thickness. So far they're quite a bit above practical limit (which would for most people be between 12 and 15mm). But the hardware advances and their getting there slowly. Also the software (watch layer) is getting better. It's only a matter of time it will all get together and I believe they'll be quite unstoppable, because it's just practical. Does this watch give you pebble vibes? In that it gets out of the way? Can you use the black and white screen to reply to stuff or do you have to fire up the oled?
Out of curiosity, compared to this year's Moto 360, which of these two would you recommend, I'm personally leaning more towards the ticwatch pro 3, but the moto 360 is a lot cheaper, so....
You absolutely don't need one. Get a hard sweat going for about an hour a day, cut back on the bad food and live your life. That said, it's a nice gadget. I do enjoy my TicWatch Pro 3.
It would annoy me to no end relying on picking up my phone to see the time and any notifications, especially since I don't always have my phone next to me, or it's in my pocket, etc. I've also been a watch guy my whole life so I'd feel naked without it. But I agree, for fitness you don't need this unless you want to track your routes with gps, track heart rate, etc. Prob more important for real serious weekend warriors.
