Hey Man, thanks.... I have received a few more tips as well, but winter has set in now, so, those techniques will have to wait until spring. 😉. Take care and thanks for the comment. Jimbo.
Hey jimbo i love the one I bought. I got it in July. Add a problem with the fuel separator bracket. Kimron stepped right up. And got me a brand new bracket, send it in the mail. No charge can't beat the warranty.
That is great to hear! I picked up mine in October. I am leaving for Alaska for 2 weeks but when I return I plan to dig into the machine and check for issues. I am not a mechanic, but I really want to take care of this machine. Also, the guys down at K&R great.

Hey Jimbo, looks like you got the hang of stump removal. I bought my XH20D back in March of this year, one thing I found I wasnt crazy about, my thumb doesnt have grease zerks at the hinge point. I pulled that bolt out of the hinge and it was dry. I cleaned the bore and the bolt, lubed it all and reassembled. I'll be adding grease zerks this winter when I stop for winter. Just something to check. Good looking machine in grey.
Thanks for the info! I will definitely check my thumb. I presume your machine does not have 2 speeds. It was a surprise for the 2025 models, if I heard correctly. What color is your machine? Do you mind me asking what state you live in? Today I filled my last stump holes for the year. Just about froze my fingers....Lol! It was 9 degrees here today. Take Care, Jimbo.
Yes, unfortunately mine is a single speed. It's definitely slow. My machine is orange, their color choices were a little limited when I bought. I live in north east Oklahoma, I'm hoping to continue using mine a little longer while I start on the next round of firewood.
No worries on the color, for sure. The machines are awesome. At this point, I think I chose the perfect machine for me based on usage, weight, strength and haul ability. Who knows, if you really want the 2 speed you might be able to sell your unit later and upgrade. 😉 Take Care, Jimbo.
Not sure if your bucket can reach/touch the blade? It would be cool to mount the ripper in a "holster" which is mounted to the blade. It looks heavy so maybe you can move the stick to the ripper to mount instead of lifting by hand? As far as axe goes maybe mount a pvc tube to the ROPS and drop the axe handle in it.
If reducing the zero tail swing is not a problem, I have the idea of mounting the ripper tooth and trench bucket on the bottom rear as counterweight Thanks for the video
A battery sawzall really works great cutting the toe roots blades are cheap , dig the stump and put a strap to pull the roots out , on a real big stump I take my pressure washer and locate the toe roots first then cut with the sawzall then it’s much easier on your machine but you do get very muddy using the pressure washer
Thank you for the info. I greatly appreciate it. Have you welded any chain hooks onto your bucket? I have seen some larger units with that. Take Care, Jimbo.
@ I use a lifting strap cheap at harbor frt and hook it on the bucket tooth , if a chain breaks it could hurt you or some one watching really bad and medical attention is very expensive
@@andyjeanise5696 i have striped a couple out myself. I also broke off one the bolt inside. I drilled out and bought a all thread bolt and like a 2 inch nut from tractor supply. Welded nut on the all thread and cut to length. So the quick attachment can be fixed. Heads up you can break one to. I've done it while to much pressure while using the concrete breaker.
The idea for the mini excavator is to not work has hard. Small stumps is ripper tooth. The bigger stumps is 8inch Bucket. Dig out to 2 to 3 inch in root size and thin rip back to stumps. On digging the dirt out just set to side tell finding the roots then trace root out tell it breaks Im thinking of making a rack to be able to move and connect to blade. Make remember and add counter weight when needed.
Thanks for the comment. I wasn't sure if the larger stumps had a tap root that goes mostly straight down. It seems like most of the roots go out to the side. So I probably don't need to dig so deep. I think that is what you are saying. It has gotten pretty cold here lately so I am probably done with stumps until Spring. I will try your technique of facing the stump and digging outward, following the roots to the 2-3 inch diameter. Then see if the stump will break free. I would like to see the rack you build, if possible, and how it is attached to the machine. Take Care.
@@JimboSouthDakota i start to hide the colder it gets. I try working 40 to 50 deg and above. On the roots I follow out tell it breaks. Its normal in the 2 to 3 inches. It takes time to get use to using the machine. Remember you don't have to run full speed. Only time I do is when moving. The rest of the time 1/2 to 3/4 speed. When moving heavy things pull it as close to the blade as possible. Not as tipsy. I have a box when I had diggit em15 mini weight was 2250 pounds. It was gas. I could pick this metal box up and move it. Just not fast. I'm going to see if this 3000 pound mini will move it. Oh the metal box is 800 pound.
1/2 - 3/4 speed sounds good. The XH20D weights 3500 pounds and has 60 inch tracks, and the blade sticks out another 10 inches. This really helps with stability. Still have to be really careful. I was testing the waters with that last stump by going off to the side and a ways away from the machine. I won't do that very much though. Take Care, Jimbo.
Hi, Jimbo I have a machine just like that one, but mine is orange. Got it in July. Dug a big retaining wall with it. Took a couple months, but it was a big wall. I noticed on the motor itself all the hose clamps on the fuel line. Needed about a turn to 3 turns to get him tight. I run my machine at idol 214 100R. PM's Not nearest jerky that way On the rake, I had to weld 38 metal on the teeth below the round part of the rake. Ben it up pretty good. The 1st day. But the machine is a Beast. It does anything and everything you ask of it. I did not get the auger. Let me know how it works. Thinking awful, heart about it. I do have the jackhammer. It works pretty good. Can't complain at all. This is my first excavator I've ever owned. I have about a 100 hours on it, so I am not a pro. Well. It sure is fun.
Cool, thanks for the comments. Can you tell me what you had to do to operate the nitrogen portion of the Jack Hammer? Do you know of any videos on the subject? Thanks. Jimbo.
Glad to see you are enjoying your mini excavator. They are a blast to operate. I've taken out many stumps with my SANY SY26U. Turns out a better solution is to dig the stump hole a bit deeper and bury the stump. This works great and it may work for you too. Best of luck. Hello, and thanks for the comments. Your machine looks plenty beefy! Nice unit. I think you are correct on the burnability of stumps. They generally are pretty wet. I will see how much they burn down the next time I can burn my piles. I will definitely bury what is left. Take Care, and thanks again. Jimbo.
Lol! It is hard to decide whether to use any music or not. The sound of the machine running fast forward is hard to listen to for a long time as well. What is your opinion on whether to use music or not, and what genre? Thanks for the comment. Jimbo.
Glad to see that the practice is paying off! It's a solid little machine. Thanks for the shout-out as well. Can't wait to see more digging content.
Thanks Man! I love the machine so far. I wondered if you would hear the shout out...Lol!
Looks like you are really getting the hang of it. That curl of the bucket is where the power is. Good job.

I also put some lock tite on the lock nut on the back side... if it loosens up there will be some play in your attachment.

Be careful using the impact on the quick attach bolt... I broke mine in half and took a while to source another bolt.
