You got that stump out! The first thing I do is always work as much of the dirt off the stump roots as possible. Maybe not in your case but sometimes the dirt weighs as much as the stump, either way it will make it easier.
Digging around the tree before cuttung the tree down allows you to use the trees top weight to up end the tree. You can rock the tree back and forth until it falls down using your digger and then cut the tree up. That method has worked for me while I was clearing the land for the new house.
I live in Hawaii and I had to dig up a large avocado tree stump but the roots grew into solid rock. A good tip to help get the tree out is to use a sawzall and cut any big roots that the machine can’t break. A root that has a 5” diameter will add about 10,000 lbs of break out force so cutting it makes a big difference when trying to get it loose.
Thanks for sharing This stump weighs about 5000 pounds. This machine still struggled to pull it out after all the roots were cut and I can’t even pick it up with my skid steer
If you have to move these stumps again you may consider cutting some additional wood off of them. That was really interesting how that second tree enveloped the rock.
Pure power with the weight to match! My buddy owns excavator and skid steers, I'll just say that they're not tractors at all. Completely different class of animals! Great video Brock.
This was a great video! That big rock could be used many ways, probably could even sell it. Good thing the tractor was around to help with getting the big stump rolled out. Take care!
Quite a while back you sent me a picture of a rock with writing on it. We were thinking about seeing if someone can cut the words rockhill Farm onto this rock Thanks for watching
GOOD JOB! Man the power of the small Kubota is amazing..A larger one would have been better, but the operater's talent made it work..Thanks for the video---well done..
That stump is definitely larger than what this size machine should be engaging but in the hands of someone that has the experience running equipment they end up getting things done. good job sir.
Really well done. Got the right angles to compliment the narration, or got the narration right after a lot of footage. Whenever the footage made me question what was going on, the narration was right there to explain. Excellent backhoe and camera work.
Aside from the advances in computer technology, nothing in my lifetime qualifies for more admiration and respect than. . . HYDRAULICS. Just imagine how fast those Egyptians could have been erecting the Pyramids if they had the use of hydraulic lifters and fluid. Amazing how such a small/medium size machine can do so much heavy work. I want to rent one just to play with it.
Yeah, I’ve got a lot of respect for tradesmen and equipment operators and people who do that kind of work that we need in society A lot of it looks easy when you watch someone do it and then when I jump on the machine it’s a lot more difficult
That was impressive what he was able to lift and move. Would have been nice to see him get the big rock at the end out and moved. He did some really cool techniques for ideas on what I can do here when we rent our excavator! I might be able to use a mini too. Thanks
These machines are very capable given enough time. I am hoping to get a mini-ex one day. Just incredibly expensive where I am at. Usually a nice small one is going for $75,000+ and a large one is going for $30,000 with same hours and year. Everybody wants one, I guess.
I just priced a yanmar 35 same size open cab , thumb $55,000 I thought it was a good ,deal Kabota has about the same deal with also very good financing if you skip the angle blade on the front and skip the cab ,put half down you’re good to go ,you can even get the trailer later
@@RockhillfarmYT ask your rental co if they sell them, heard good things from people who bought clean, well maintained equipment from rental companies.

Back in the wayback they used hand tools and horse teams to remove stumps. When dynamite came on the scene the process of stump removal was accelerated at an explosive rate.
Hey ole joe can run that sucker. Not beating anyone up but I have many years of experience myself. He had it whipped before he backfilled behind it. Ramp down underneath and attack that tap root. Pop it out like a tooth. Bit of a small machine for the job, but definitely enough operator to get it done. Awesome video

That actually seems like a great idea. I know it needs some kind of structure for the fish and I was trying to decide what Do you think that would be a good idea?
Absolutely!! Turn them upside down or on there side so the bait fish can use the root ball for cover. I would also add a log in the deeper part running to a shallow side!!
In my experience pine trees are easy you just push them over cuz the roots don't go very deep but oak trees you have to cut them but digging the stumps out seems to be nearly impossible cuz a lot of the roots go straight down not just off to the side. By the way what are those locusts I keep flying past the camera you have a lot of big insects in that area?
