Great to see you put him back,i bet the owner wouldn't have.
Have to disagree with you on us needing pellet fed plastic rainbows put into our rivers. In those little put and take ponds that's fine,we can choose to fish them or not but the river systems are in my opinion sacred and should not have overfed alien species put there.
Fishing for natural brownies that were born in the river and have survived on natural food is much more rewarding.Give me a pound and a half brownie over a ten pound rainbow anyday.

    • @guernica8487

Why would the owner want a pike that sizs in a trout pond? It beggars belief that trout are regular stocked into lakes with big smelly pike.

iv heard the spawn can be naturally transported by birds and other animals, also the spawn could havw slipped through at the inflow. if you think about it, without natural transportation most lakes wouldnt have fiish at all.

Can't the farms, put some small stock in rivers not big amounts, just to get things going. what had good trout fishing.just to try and bring back a wild trout for the future generations to see trout as it should be..or is that a stupid idea?????

I hope your fishing on a kill ticket, especially after handling the fish without wetting your hands, thats how so many end up sick because your acidic hands damage their skin and removes their protective slime, especially in the summer when the water is warmer and the bacteria is able to multiply on them.
