By far my fave UA-cam show. I think you guys have what it takes to have a show on tv and not just the internet. Modern day John Wilson's Entertaining , informative and great representation for the sport of fishing
Most fishermen I meet are friendly people but like your experiences when filming this video every once and awhile I come across a right grumpy old sod and the funny thing is most of the time it's lads in their early 20's. I always make a point of putting the rod down for two minutes and chatting if someone wants to say hello to me or showing them what I am using if I am catching and they are not. I used to get offended when the occasional angler gave me the cold shoulder but now I take it for what it is which is either they are rude in general or maybe just had a bad day or even trouble with the misses. I find the social aspect of fishing to be one of the best parts of the sport. I was fishing last Sunday stripping all my best lures with no success and after a few hours I took a stroll round to the other two guys on the lake. Got chatting and mentioned that maybe I should try buzzers but did not know how to fish them. One of the guys spent ten minutes with me showing some tactics and I landed four fish that day. How anyone could be unfriendly to graham is beyond me and he handled it the right way....don't get angry just move on and remember sone people are just grumpy old gets even if they are young!
'Who put that tree they're' brilliant, love your videos, only recently got back into fishing of late. Started with doing some river fishing, which was brilliant, so many different types of fish to catch. Before that it was about 2 years ago, I went to dream lakes in France, Have you ever been they're?. It's a lovely place for huge carp and catfish. Though I only caught 1 carp it was 32 lb so I wasn't complaining, it was a fantastic week.
Right after the lake was stocked i caught a ton of rainbows using bait, maggots, cheese etc spin casting. 2 weeks later i couldn't get a bite, there were fish jumping all around my hook i had to try something different. Took up fly fishing and been catching a ton once again.
And another great vid. Hi Graeme and mike, could you help I'm looking for a fly set up would you know if those complete starter set ups are any good, or would it be better to buy separate as I'm an all rounder fisherman I've never done fly fishing, but would love a go at it before I pass lol. I know a place not to far from me so would really like to do some fly fishing.
hi i am going fly fishing on next monday to thursday with my friend in donegal ireland and i was wondering what type of flys should i use because i have brown trout flys and salmon flys and would they catch me rainbow trout thanks
Peter Coyle I would try and get in touch with a club local to that area as they can tell you which patterns are likely to work on specific waters. They may well be sombre colours that catch, whereas anglers are always tempted to believe a garish fly will stand out.Try tackle shops in that area as well.Local knowledge for wild trout is key,as are conditions.Good luck with it.
douglas stewart I tend to switch to intermediate lines when it's windy as a standard floating line gets dragged across the surface. you can fish anything in an intermediate line. .. a slow figure of 8 with a hares ear or a damsel works really well......I'm the winter an intermediate line works well stripping lures too as it gives you a constant depth where as a floating line has the fly climb upwards when you retrieve
why do these fish fight harder pound per pound vs. places like Dever Springs? every time you fish here they aren't spectacular in size but fight exceptionally hard
The moody bloke has obviously never seen a TA video, I'd have put my gear down and spent the evening stalking you to to see how much of your knowledge I could pick up.

I have a lot of luck early morning, 5am-7 they seem really hungry and theres no competition for fishing spots when the sun is rising.
As all ways lads awesome vid keep it up. Atb
I'm guessing early morning and evening are the better times to fish out of midday heat?

There all small trout you need to fish dever spring for the big rainbow and browns
That was awesome. You said a Montana black. Is that a stone fly or something else. Great video and nice fish.
Look up Montana fly on a search engine. It's usually black with a bit of green.
Coop W Montana is a great nymph in murky water....I can fast retreive them or fish the depths with a slow figure of 8

How did you get banned from staying by that angler
mrkdog gamer I thought the same thing, he probably was a spoilt child and wanted it all to himself
I just thought that if I saw ta fishing I would be so happy and I would love to fish with them!
Funny enough my m8 got his eyelid hooked before
