Remember that one time you said "this is a 19mm bolt"? That was awesome. Thanks a million.
just another thankyou for this simple, easy to follow guide.
Thank you so much for the detailed yet very simple and elaborate tutorial. Easily the best video I've seen foe this belt replacement.
It is pouring rain outside, middle of winter and I am staring at this video learning the hell I'll have to deal with laying in the rain. Uuuugh. This is why I like my truck, 3 minute job to change a belt out.
Still helping in 2022 well done
A+ Video Gil. Showed all the steps. I am not a mechanic, but a big fan of DIY. While I was doing this job, my second pair of hands went AWOL at the critical moment when I needed to loosen the tensioner to get the new belt on. Forced to get creative with my 15 inch swivel breaker bar, I was able to release the tension, then wedged the bar under what I think is called the "radiator core support". It took a little finesse to get the belt on over the crankshaft pulley, but it was manageable. There may be other improvisational methods to complete the job solo. I just wanted to add that it is possible, though not fun. Thanks again. Your video is great :)
Thank you for this video. Another video recommended a tool to fit on the tensioner bolt itself. I would have been wrenching on the tensioner wheel's special bolt instead of that 19mm bolt. This helps a lot.
Great video, will be using this as a guide for doing my own very soon. Thank you.
4 years later still saving lives!! Appreciate it sir!
Thanks for the video, it really helped me replace the belt on my wife's 2002. A skinny armed buddy and a belt tool makes it a cinch to do.
The floor jack pole lol we have all been there 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for this Gil; you've just saved me about £100! :)
I wish you had a dodge mini van! I could use some tutorials!! When u dropped that screwdriver I was waiting for some cuss words. Lol. You have great self control or great editing skills! Lol. Good stuff!
Thanks for this video... I just replaced my alternator with your tutorial. Much appreciated.
Great and helpful video, just changed the serpentine belt for my rav4 2003, removal of tire was not necessary.
Trust me when I tell you if you not skillful doing this it's truly a two person job' and like he said one person holding the tensioner while the other is routing the belt, we just finished did my on an 2004 Toyota Rav4 it's a simple job when you have the right tools but not easy. Thanks again for sharing this video with us👀😀👍🏿
Clear and concise - from UK - Cheers
Thanks dude I’ve been Trying to screw of the tensioner
FWIW. My preferred method is to fit the belt to the alternator last. It's the closest (and smallest) pulley, so I can work the tensioner wrench with one hand while the other hand is free to slip the belt on and off. That's what works for me best.
cheers bud from the uk!
