Not fun fact about this movies story: Antonio Banderas had a heart attack 6 years ago, and a sequel almost never happened because of it. If the story feels more emotional and personal, it's because it is.
I read about it. He realized what was important in his life at that moment. He said it was the best thing which happened to him cause it was his wake up call to treasure his one only life while he still has it. Death comes for us all after all-

Perrito wanted to be a therapy dog but he’s already one and was happy with what he has therefore his path was simple and easy.
In another way, I think Perrito's path reflects his optimistic outlook on a series of dark or tragic events. A pocketful of posies for example is often considered a reference to the plague. His river or relaxation is the sort of river he was drowned in. And a quick and easy solution could very well imply suicide. Despite all that, he's never stopped being optimistic, constantly enjoying life for the little things and that makes him a shining pillar in such a dark world.

In the end, instead of, the Legend being back this is the legend finally dying. The whole movie he's tried to become that Legend again, and that is what landed hi him in this mess in the first place. The Legend was arrogant instead of confident. This can be seen in how easily he fell apart when he met real resistance. Now he embraces his mortality, something that the legend never did, it always ignored it. The result was him ending up alone since accepting your own mortality is personal growth. When Kitty said that his one true love was himself that was accurate. The Legend only loved the Legend. The final fight with Death is laden with symbolism. - Everyone has to face death alone, our memories and connections can only bolster us. This is represented by Kitty and Perrito being shadows in the flame behind him as he faces Death alone. - Death strips him of everything that made him the legend by swiping off his hat, disarming, and gashing his boots. What saves Puss is his connection with Kitty in the form of the Gatito blade, nothing that was The Legend saves him. - And when Death can see that Puss has changed he just walks away as Puss no longer fears death or is ignorant about his mortality, and when a person truly accepts that one day they'll die the fear of death has no power over them. Death turning around and saying, "you know we'll meet again, right," and Puss accepting it is him showing that he's fully embraced his mortality. One day he'll die, either naturally or unnaturally and that's okay with him.
the map told Goldi she already got her wish when the house appeared in front of her :) this movie just blew everybody away cause nobody expected it to be so good, now everybody is hyped up for more Shrek-verse and people are less skeptical :D if you havent already I really hope you watch Guillermo's Pinocchio thats also a brilliant animated movie from last year that was a very pleasant surprise :)
okay but i hate when people say that, sorry but i just hate when people try to say he's not. Listen. his JOB isn't evil. HE isn't evil. but he's clearly after puss for personal reasons, because he's fed up with him. in my opinion, he doesn't teach him the value of life BECAUSE he wanted to- he only left puss alone because he realized Puss wasn't afraid of him anymore, and he valued life as a bonus. y'all in THIS story, with THIS character, he's the villain but he's fair because he leaves him alone damn having a villain's role vs being evil for the sake of being evil is different
Technically he is the villain. A villain dosent have to be evil, a villain is an antagonist to our main protagonist and that’s what death is, he poses the biggest threat to puss and that’s why he’s the main villain, he’s not necessarily evil but he’s the villain
Not really hes job on puss in boots because he got 1 life left ,He said that he wants to kill him because of his ego but then puss chance his karakter so basically he was the villain
Despite how Death is definitely the most intimidating of the three, Death is the antagonist, technically speaking. His role is to help Puss learn his lesson of not being immortal and to value his life, hence shy he lets Puss go in the end. Goldi is the anti-hero who has her own motivations, bur does side with the main character when it benefits her, since she no longer needed the wish. She also cares for her own. And Jack is the straight-up villain who is just evil and horrible and cares for nobody but himself. It's amazing how they resolved all three acrs for all three parties in such a fulfilling manner.
I believe Death's whistle was semi inspired by the harmonica from Once Upon a Time in the West where the main dude would always appear on screen after playing this haunting tune on the thing. Great movie if you like something pretty slow, but yeah. A ton of westerns were referenced for this film and it really shows.
Y’a know the "if it’s convenient" line at the beginning? In the Spanish version it’s "Eso, ya lo veremos" which is we shall see. It’s not if the opportunity arises or if I get the chance, it’s straight up I might, might not haven’t decided yet.
definitely,Death is my top favorite thing from this movie,I love Werewolves, and having this upright,black-cloaked and sickle-armed white wolf, with those striking and terrifying red eyes, was right up my alley and enough to get me obsessed with that character, they really pulled off an insane villain, and he deserves to be in my top 5 of best-animated villains ever, top 5 at the very least, even tho,it has to be said,if your villain is literally Death incarnated,it would be quite hard to miss the shot. Goldilocks and the Three Bears are also another highlight for me,from their portrayal, the chemistry between them, the comedy, the over-the-top English accent, that I always find so much fun everywhere I hear it,and,if I have to choose,Goldi and Baby are my favorites, especially Baby,I adore him,he's great. And,overall, the way this movie really went for it,the humor, the language, the swears and the beeps to cover them, the inclusion of Internet, videogames and meme language, especially when it comes to Big Jack Horner,I just love that so much
There was a very short and very small after credit blurb in this movie. It is just audio and literally lasts about 1 second. You can decide if you want to take the time to find it. It made me chuckle.
I think they used the kind of animation used for the movie "The Bad Guys" for had dynamic scenes and that work. I heard for the "Death" , the framerate was way better than the other because it's the stronger. We can also see him before he announced himself in the scene Puss in boots against the giant, behind the crowd we can see him in an allee.
3 villains first looking for lost familly second looking for justice third looking for power good neutral evil. good find that what she was looking she already have, neutral do not get puss soul but make him better, evil lost live. just perfect
I also like the idea of how puss die but was never afraid of dying until death made himself known to puss. Just like how in real life, we all know that as a human we will die and there will be some close calls yet only when we get into a situation where we are a hair string from death, we realize that life weighs more than ever before.
I really like how Puss can't defeat Death in the end, but Death can't get him either, because how hard Puss is fighting for his life, if Death was defeated, it would throw to the ground everything that was established about his character. In the end, Death will get everyone, when the time is right, and that elevates him to one of the best antagonists in media.
The name of the actor voicing the Wold is Wagner Moura. He did some very good Brazilian movies, like "O Homem do Futuro" and a very heavy one: Elite Trop ("Tropa de Elite").
4:40 Fun fact; everyone has heard a year for a dog is equivalent to seven of a human. Cats are, roughly, one to eight; except for the first year as babies. Eight for dogs, nine for cats. They myth about nine lives for Cats comes from how Cats have many babies(4-12) that look alike, and people couldn't tell them apart.
Death isn't a villain. Jack Horner is the villain of this movie. Death is just death. He's not good, nor bad. So he isn't a villain, like it was said it comes for us all. Of course death isn't fair, it doesn't chose his victims, which is why he gets potraited sadistically towards puss. He didn't respect Life, so why should Death respect him? I love this character so much, it has so much depth into it. Puss realizes he can never escape death and he has to let it come for him eventually, pure acceptance. They will meet again, but this time death will be calmer, since Puss isn't egoistical nor selfish anymore. He doesn't fear death. It's just so beautifully poetic.
Wonder if Perrito was actually from the Chihuahua Gang Kitty Softpaws mentioned. Perrito's family tried to "hide" the runt of the litter because Perrito made their gang look weak? Just a theory.
27:25 "Kicking the bird? Wow" No, that is a seagull. If you don't think those little rats with wings don't deserve to get punted you obviously haven't met one in the wild.
I wasn’t expecting a Shrek villain to be that crazy. We got villains like Farquaad, Fairy God Mother, Rumplestilskin, and Humpty, and theres straight up Death
22:57 just more confirmation that people really can't empathize with or understand adoption lol. Not surprising given how simplistically it's usually presented. 23:07 because how dare she have complex feelings about it, right?
no offense, but this is a work of fiction, not real life. people can react to a situation in fiction differently from that same situation in real life ( and before anyone says anything, and misconstrues that, all things within reason, of course ). of course goldie is allowed to have complex feelings about her adoptive family, in a perfect world, it'd be nice if she could have a 'normal' or 'real' family and her bear family. i think that's perfectly valid, but i really don't think that's the kind of story this film is trying to tell, and I really don't think a youtuber's simple reaction about it to a simple portrayal of adoptive families should be taken as some sort of personal attack.
I'm only here for *THE WOLF!!!!!* 🤩 ...And also Perrito. He's cute.🥰🐶But TBH,I didn't like the way they handled Goldie's storyline. It's almost like they want to _blame her_ for wanting her human parents back,I don't think it's fair! In real life it can happen to have horrible biological parents or simply parents who can't or don't want to keep you for whatever reason so any alternative family that genuinely loves you is welcome, but A)we don't know if this is Goldie's case...her parents could be dead or they could have lost her against their will and being desperately trying to find her,it's not fair to say it doesn't matter anymore to find them only because you've found an alternative!B)Nobody says that regaining your biological family implies ditching your adoptive family...Goldie could have 1 bigger family or,just like the children of divorced parents, spending some time with the bears and some time with the humans...OR she can eventually decide she wants to only stay with the bears but why should she RENOUNCE to choose only because the bears are getting offended?!?Think about the parents too!! Isn't it fair for *them* to know what happened to their child,in case they didn't know?!?Then IF they are ACTUALLY horrible parents who abandoned her ok,fine, she can ditch them and stay with the bears, but at least she(and we)will know for sure! P.S. I *HATE* that new opening because they put things like"Baby Boss"and"Trolls"and they didn't put"Rise of the Guardians"!🤬💢I also hate the subtitles that write"Speaks in Spanish"instead of actually writing the spanish lines, expecially in this movie since..they didn't even bother to write"Perro"(=Dog)and"Perrito"(=Little Dog)AND THAT'S ABOUT TO BECOME THAT CHARACTER'S *LITERAL NAME!!* Imagine him in the end saying:"I think I'll just stick with Speaks in Spanish. Since..that's what my friends call me.^w^"🤦♂
Can they do it again with a Shrek team up? They’ll probably insist that you can’t take the stupid toilet humor out and just retcon all this personal growth from Puss and Kitty. And the dog will be inexplicably missing or just an annoying sidekick played for cheap laughs.

Neat little detail:
Nobody got the wish because they all confessed their wish, thus breaking the birthday wish rule.
Wasn't it because they didn't need it?
What are you talking about, everybody who journeyed to the star got their wish, even without the star, no magic required, altough not in a way they tought.

Death isn't really the villain. He's just a guy doing his job. Jack Horner is most definitely the main villain of the entire movie.
okay but i hate when people say that, sorry but i just hate when people try to say he's not.
Listen. his JOB isn't evil. HE isn't evil. but he's clearly after puss for personal reasons, because he's fed up with him. in my opinion, he doesn't teach him the value of life BECAUSE he wanted to- he only left puss alone because he realized Puss wasn't afraid of him anymore, and he valued life as a bonus.
y'all in THIS story, with THIS character, he's the villain but he's fair because he leaves him alone
damn
having a villain's role vs being evil for the sake of being evil is different
Technically he is the villain. A villain dosent have to be evil, a villain is an antagonist to our main protagonist and that’s what death is, he poses the biggest threat to puss and that’s why he’s the main villain, he’s not necessarily evil but he’s the villain
The movie works without Jack Horner, but it doesn't work without Death. Death is the main villain.
Not really hes job on puss in boots because he got 1 life left ,He said that he wants to kill him because of his ego but then puss chance his karakter so basically he was the villain
He was trying to kill Puss before his time. He's the villian:/
My favorite Shrek related character. I’m glad this is as awesome as it deserved to be.
Deaths whistle just sends chills down my spine
That "My compliments to your cobbler" line hits different once you realize the wolf is Death.
Because he thinks Puss will die with his boots on.
Goldilocks and the three bears need their own movie, please and thank you :)
personally don't think they need one they tell a full story in this movie however i would love to see them show up again.
i know right I would watch that 4 times a day bruh🔥👍🙏
@@zachariahkelley5298 We need little adventures of them.
@@Cjgreen947 yup for sure I want to see them running big jack horner pie business
When the villagers are doing the Mexican wave during the giant fight, you can see Death watching in the background.
definitely,Death is my top favorite thing from this movie,I love Werewolves, and having this upright,black-cloaked and sickle-armed white wolf, with those striking and terrifying red eyes, was right up my alley and enough to get me obsessed with that character, they really pulled off an insane villain, and he deserves to be in my top 5 of best-animated villains ever, top 5 at the very least, even tho,it has to be said,if your villain is literally Death incarnated,it would be quite hard to miss the shot.
And,overall, the way this movie really went for it,the humor, the language, the swears and the beeps to cover them, the inclusion of Internet, videogames and meme language, especially when it comes to Big Jack Horner,I just love that so much
This is by far the best
Just got on my break at work and I can’t wait to watch this reaction. The movie is 10/10
Yes, that is the voice of Badger from Narnia
20:53 He probably learned a few of those from his family 😅
17:28 his comment about Puss overcoming his fear of death, I was like, are you talking about death or Death?
Goldilocks book pages reads as an acrostic. It said "YOU ALREADY HAVE IT" 🥺
There was a very short and very small after credit blurb in this movie.
3 villains
first looking for lost familly
second looking for justice
third looking for power
good neutral evil. good find that what she was looking she already have, neutral do not get puss soul but make him better, evil lost live. just perfect
22:10 That moment : im death straight up 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve been waiting for this one! Loved the character of Death, and Perrito, and all the references!
I don’t care if they haven’t officially confirmed the new shrek movie, come on, it would be CRUEL to tease us all like that. It’s HAPPENING 😂
I also like the idea of how puss die but was never afraid of dying until death made himself known to puss. Just like how in real life, we all know that as a human we will die and there will be some close calls yet only when we get into a situation where we are a hair string from death, we realize that life weighs more than ever before.
You were close! That's Ray Winstone, the voice of Mr. Beaver from the first Narnia movie.
Elite Squad*
I love your reactions thanks a lot!

Fun fact; everyone has heard a year for a dog is equivalent to seven of a human.
The thumbs down is a reference to Terminator 2: Judgment Day where there's an iconic thumbs up.
letting you know this is a sequel and the first one was made in 2011
Congratulations! You are the first person who didn't scream when he saw the Spanish splinter.
You know it’s an effective villain when you say “IS THAT HIM?? oh, wait it’s just ravaging bears. OK”
better than any shrek movie, absolutely peak
Shrek 2?????? Nah you buggin
Agreed 100% Better than the Shrek movies. ❤️
I watched Shrek movies a while ago and I'm sure that this movie is better than 1, 3 and 4. But I'm not sure about 2. Need to rewatch it.
Wonder if Perrito was actually from the Chihuahua Gang Kitty Softpaws mentioned. Perrito's family tried to "hide" the runt of the litter because Perrito made their gang look weak? Just a theory.
Man I’m jealous of the hair haha, loved the reaction vid :)
When you said "Death is so sadistick" i could not stop laughing😂
27:25
"Kicking the bird? Wow"
No, that is a seagull. If you don't think those little rats with wings don't deserve to get punted you obviously haven't met one in the wild.
Unexpected but very amazing reaction!
This video better not get blocked like all the other reactions. IM TRIED OF IT!
First I love this movie
I'm late too! But holy hell! That villain.... The Joker of the Shrek verse!!!!!
There's a theory going round that the Papa Bear in this film was the Baby Bear from the first Shrek movie
Thanks for reacting to this great movie. I'm so glad you liked it. Truly a new masterpiece that people will remember for a while.
I wasn’t expecting a Shrek villain to be that crazy. We got villains like Farquaad, Fairy God Mother, Rumplestilskin, and Humpty, and theres straight up Death
As a adult, i like this movie
I Refreshed Then saw this And As the page was Refreshing I nearly missed Clicked and then Clicked this so that's how I Got Here!
Wagner Moura (Wolf) did amazing in his voice acting
I absolutely love how you are just laughing throughout the entire movie
Just like me
The Wolf isn't evil he just.........well he has a job to do......
You weren't the only one... I did not realize it was death until then.... Sigh....
Go watch Puss in Boots (2011)
It is honestly a great movie and is very entertaining
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! LET'S GO!
i just realized something: how do they know how many lives cats have?
Yes, he is the batman
Sherk Forever After
Since you're doing kind of a review on DreamWorks movies, you might like Sinbad and the legend of the seven seas, highly underrated in my opinion!
Love goes cowboy boots
I believe the next shrek movie is being directed by the man who did this movie :)
You should watch Robocop 3. It's really interesting to see your reaction to this movie
The wolf whistle still give me goosebumps 😳
Did you see when hie hits the bears with the stick puss is feet go in to pies like slippers
I LOVE DEATH SOO MUCH❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Goldie's boots
I think it’s a much better experience. If you watch the movie in the theatres first. And then react to it. Not the other way around.
wow
The top 4 comments are written by the same dude
Have you not seen the first one?
Can they do it again with a Shrek team up? They’ll probably insist that you can’t take the stupid toilet humor out and just retcon all this personal growth from Puss and Kitty. And the dog will be inexplicably missing or just an annoying sidekick played for cheap laughs.
This movie, bad guys and Zootopia are singlehandedly creating the new generation of furries.
Por que eles cortam " pick it up" da morte?
Because of copyright bs from movie studios
Hi
He he he he he he
So...how long did it take y'all to realize this was just a retelling of Wizard of Oz through Puss in Boots?
