We took this video to show the hidden menu features on a Ford Focus. It is the same procedure from 1998-2007. You can check many cool features like coolant temperature, speed in miles per hour or kilometers per hour, you can pull a digital tachometer, check for DTC without OBD reader, you can also check the voltage.

Worked in my 2008 ford focus except my reset button is near the gear shifter in the middle console but still instructions worked just as good thank y'all

Hi there kindly help me, I have a Ford Focus Sedan model 2007 and it keeps on unlocking itself randomly and at the same time all windows automatically rolls down.
Can you check transmission codes?
Is there any way to make it perform a needle sweep Evey time you start the car?

@Track vs Road what code reader are you using i can pick up little codes with my dads cheap autostore scanner engine p codes and such snapon scanner at work will get most of the codes but my forescan software gets every code

I have a focus zx3 01 (dohc auto) and when I perform the bulb test, it appears I have a shift light. I'd like to find a way to turn the shift light on, even though it's an automatic.
You can't if the car is designed for Automatic Transmission the same goes for models that do not have Cruise Control the option will not light up
yeah so the car will tell itself when to shift ! lol
Why will you want a useless blinking ligth
Ford has done things like this for years due to mass assembly. Early 80's Fords for example, that came with more than one engine size i.e. 4, 6, 8 cyl., had manual switches under the plastic bezel to manually select different RPM for the factory tach since each engine was different. Early Ford turbo cars (Mustang, Thunderbird, etc.; 1980's) had the boost light back panels but w/o the bulb in place in non turbo configurations, even though IF a bulb was placed there an given power, it'd illuminate the panel, etc. etc..
There should be a little button on your gear shifter knob it's the overdrive button but when I do a test of my 03 it blinks 2 with overdrive is the only one that flashes on my panel yeah these cars are a little confusing

I have a battery light stays on even when car is off and kills battery if I don't unhook it when car isn't running. Anybody know solution??
I’m having same issue now except the gas light abs light o/d off light battery light all stay on no matter what and this the second battery in a week it killed last battery I just had to unhook battery. Did you find the solution?
@@Bigcountry251 My 05 focus zx3 had that happen in 2019. Light stayed on, parasitic drain issues, plus all my usb's for charging, camera, etc.. A new battery died within a week so I replaced the 14 yr old /original alternator with a nice new modern higher output model!! .. Installed the 2nd battery under full warranty.. and those issues went away. My only trbshooting was to measure the voltage output at battery with engine running and it was lower than desired. I'd start there if you haven't already
I have 04 zx3 focus and my dash does the same thing, I went through 2 alternators and a battery. After that I had a mechanic install a kill switch below steering wheel so I can just turn the battery off instead of unhooking battery everytime
