Del’s face after Rodney says “eh?” and it starts to dawn on him that Rodney’s stitched him up is brilliant.
One of the best scenes in only fools and horses.
Out of the countless epic scenes, *this* is the one I remember the most from the 1st time watching it as a kid, the dialog and expressions between Del and Rodney are just absolutely spot-on.

Fun fact - when filming this scene, David Jason (Del) was a qualified pilot and keen paraglider himself and wanted to do this stunt himself, before having his request unsurprisingly rejected by the BBC’s insurance department.
Yes David and his paragliding friends loved to have a get together at his house..then the police put a stop to that for some reason.
David Jason was also a qualified diver too I believe

Archie in doors Challis if this was made today it would receive a backlash on twitter because the main characters are mostly white, someone would take offence at Rodney's sunburn having racist undertones. Someone would be offended at the acronym TIT for trotters independent trading, suggesting derogative undertones towards women. The characters of grandad/uncle Albert would be branded ageist and tired stereotypes. Del Boys cigars would be targeted as advocating smoking. The whole character set would be branded stereotypical of white working class and would be sneered at by modern critics. Someone would take offence that the LGBTQ community are not represented within the main character set.
So when you have to dodge all of those kinds of mines when making a sitcom in today's world you end up taking anything of any worth out of it and all you are left with is a soulless PC husk.
That's why we won't see anything like this ever again. I hate to see comments from people who deny the fact that our culture is being stripped away in favour of lefty progressive think.

One thing still doesn't make sense: What exactly was Del planning to do before Rodney suggested the deception with the car phone?
Del didn't know he was going to be hang gliding until he arrived up there, it was sprung on him as a surprise. In trying to impress a woman he claimed to have been in the special forces and had done hundreds of drops for aircraft, so she thought he might enjoy hang gliding....as her friend was into it, she arranged for Del to have a go.
Damn I always thought it was hand gliding 😅
