    I'm in Atlanta Georgia and this was a great video. Having the kids involved is such a wonderful thing. I'll never forget those days fishing with my dad when I was a kid back in Savannah on Tybee Island.

      Definitely steal that idea mate. Mussel floats make the very best net bins. They float and can be dragged anywhere and the net just falls out set and ready to catch. Chur!

    Another great video! Mullet hard up against the mangroves, same on the mighty Kaipara, Love the smoking session, brings back a few childhood memories. Fresh mullet fillets are great cooked as well, but they are the best bait for snapper in the shallows. Cheers

    never done the brine way before brothr. how long do you leave the kanae sit in it for?? looks mean asf tho and very efficient from splitting to brine then the smoker...was a solid watch brothr..always keen to try new ways of doing things...

      About 2 hours is good in the brine mate. It's a great way to do mullet because they come out beautiful and clean before they go into the smoker.

      Meshed fish from a net.... nah it doesn't really work mate. Best practice in this case is to keep the catch Nd feed the family

      I don't know. It's a fair question tho. We also don't iki flounder, herring, piper, mackerel or crayfish. Maybe this is something worth thinking about and possibly changing 🤔
