Even at 4 years old, never looks down at the keys once.
This guy is the TRUE definition of a prodigy.. He not only had a gift at a young age, but cultivated his gift with the knowledge and expertise that it requires to continue to be great. I didn't really know this guy was a true musician and jazz virtuoso until I bought his album about a week ago.

This is just a wonderful example of the music flowing through a person and how it positively impacts the world.
O my goodness - seeing this little kid when he started out lol - and how you followed your dream not letting be held back - I'm amazed...I saw myself and wondered how things would have been for me today. So happy for your achievements, Master Cory Henry. Would like to meet you, but...oh well. Thanks for sharing your gift. Be blessed, my brother.

What Corey was saying towards the end is true. I've been playing church music on the drums so long,that I was stuck on "level 1" for the as long as I can remember. But now I'm determined to break free of that level and take it to the next level for Gods glory.

I like what he said about listening to all types of music. That is how i developed my ear for music and of course with a lot of practice. Oscar Peterson was one of the first jazz pianist I heard growing up that I loved. He had all of those big chords I heard in my head.

Cory Henry is absolutely one of the greatest musicians of our time point blank, not many have the natural grasp of the relationship btwn harmony and melody that he does. He could literally play an organ before he could count to 4. Playing organ is quite literally his second language

How music should be played ... I hear a lot of people when he plays that organ, but its ALL CH ... the guy oozes feel and groove. It's inspirational just to see how uninhibited, and still innocent, he is when he plays, always the same level, nothing less ... An exceptional talent ... we need more cats like him!
