Cory, I saw you perform with Snarky Puppy last Sunday nite in L.A. at the Mint and while you were playing one of your solos it literally put me in tears. You were looking straight at me while you were playing and although I can't play like you, I felt deep within my soul what you were feeling and expressing through your playing. It was like a transfer from your soul to mine. That is the impact that your God given talent has on people. I was touched and it was such a blessing. Thank you.

My daughter plays by ear. This video has helped to inspire her to play with feeling. She's really young and have a long way to go but musicians like you who open up about playing music and what drives you to do what you do helps younger musicians to connect and get an understanding of working hard and striving to do their best. Thank you kind sir. I follow you through COGIC

" I hope that when I play I touch people in a way to...you know, just be a better person"
These words struggle to find their way out of his mouth due to his sincere humility which only contributes to touch you deeper, made me roll down a tear.
You certainly have a gift to inspire people "to be better at whatever it is that they do" at the very least, but now when you play out of emotion is that you inspire your audience to be better persons.
Little 3 years old Cory received that gift with a big smile and never let it go, moreover, devoted his life to the hard work of perfecting it just to share it with the world.

Hey Cory! Your talent, and your way to be, is such a great example for me. Nowadays, is really diffcult to find a musician with values towards Life. As you say, music is just to turn a person into a better human being. Despites al your problems and difficulties, you were able to keep up going your musical career. Thanks for being such a humble musician , and for being an inspiration for all of us, whose are starting on the music career. Cheers!!!

Corey, I am so glad to have viewed both documentaries, 1 & 2 (Didn't notice a third). You are surely an anointed musician and it seems to have been apparent from your early years. I AM inspired to cultivate my gift, even the more, after nearly 35 years as a church musician. You said something that I heard a younger musician say, about knowing your instrument. It took me some time to understand that... Now, I am glad I do and am seeking to improve on what I had already developed. The acoustic piano, organ and keyboards are ALL different and though one can often imitate one of the others, a great musician can play skillfully on either and not sound exactly the same. I hear that in your playing. It is also beneficial to learn various genre's of music... the foundational skills and techniques transcend and work in many styles of music, as you have also demonstrated.
Keep doing what you do... You ARE a blessing to many, beyond your imagination.

I took a handful of years of lessons for guitar. I still play but 'life' gets in the way and has interrupted the time that i would rather spend playing. I surely don't have the intuition that Mr. Henry has but I would like to play my guitar with intent. I found Snarky Puppy only a few months ago and he and that band have put a smile on my face watching them play. They made me think of time differently and notice the fun and happiness that falls out of their minds and fills their instruments and they and Mr. Henry have inspired me to be better. Thank you for being on this planet Cory and musicians alike.

Your videos on youtube inspire me that's for sure. To be a better person is a hard goal but to want to realize more of my potential should be more achievable. I think it would be great if you'd post hours of your rehearsals and improvisations and concerts on UA-cam, I want to hear what you play when you sit by that Yamaha or Steinway shop, or when you sit by the hammond organ, when you play on your Korgs (I found you yesterday as a related Korg video after watching Herbie's Korg video) can you connect a camera at a good angle and record the perfect sound onto the video somehow and just publish an hour of it or more, and don't be selective. UA-cam provides unlimited bandwidth. Just name the video "keyboard-name date" and done. It doesn't matter if you're just chatting or testing something. We on UA-cam want to hear all of it. Thank you very much. My father passed away that year this video was published and I miss him very much, he was the biggest jazz geek in the 60ies and 70ies before I was born, he'd go to all the concerts with the greats he even drove Miles Davis back in his car from getting into fights in a bar in Montreux (I'm Swiss/Danish), now my sister has his whole LP collection, the other day I tried one randomly the Stan Kenton in Hi Fi and that was just amazing. I hope you manage to find somebody else after your parents passed away. But even for people who have parents probably don't use them the right way, it's a hard thing.

This GREAT man should be protected !!!.... Actually just found him this year 2022...My dad always wanted me to play the B3.. We were poor and couldn't even afford a Casio!! Now at 70 years young I play the guitar or should I say I'm a guitar hack but for years I've had fun playing gigs with the help of one good friend that always seems to get me in his band....
What I mean about being protected is that no harm in any way should even come close to this man.. We've lost so many artist already.. I could not believe his ability at 4 an 5 years old...NO wonder they called him MASTER Cory !!
He talks about that he hopes his playing will "touch people"...I can listen to this guy for days...weeks........months !!
Thanks the heavens he's also seems to be very religious.... I think it's a gift from God to be this great of a musician !!!
I hope he will come close one day to gig near Western NY.......I will be FIRST in line...

Cory Henry, you were touched by the Garment of Jesus Christ at the early stage of your Life, when you rendered Your HEART, MIND and SOUL in giving Praise, Glory and Honor to GOD ALMIGHTY through the Hammond Organ. Your Style of playing is like No one else.

What an awesome gift he was given by the Lord. I totally agree when you have a gift like that you need to study other forms of music to "up" your game. However (for everyone reading), it is imperative that you keep the Lord and how He wants you to use your gift FIRST, so that it can be blessed and flourish the way He would have it. I hope that Cory keeps playing in church, but not just playing there; letting God grow him in the things of God. Awesome music. That Heart at Midnight... great!!
