One quick thing at 31:52 you mention 7900xt is pointless for 1440p. I disagree. I have 5700x3d and 7800xt, 1440p 170hz monitor. If you want to play max settings at 1440p with no upscaling WITH a high framerate, it's absolutely not pointless. My 7800XT is bottlenecking my 5700x3d at 1440p. It all depends on your target framerate. For people with a 1440p 240hz monitor, that want to get 240 fps without upscaling or playing on low settings you need a 4080S or 7900xtx. If your target framerate is 60 then all you need is a 3700x and a 7600xt lol

The original price was $650 but together with the coupon and discount the GPU cost between $540-550 before tax. There was a better deal at the beginning of October that I wasn't able to get where the same model cost around $515 before tax.
I do have to ask, you say I shouldn't get the 7900XT for 1440p since it's mainly used best at 4k which is fair. However I want to be able to keep it if I buy it for as long as possible so I wouldn't have to spend almost 700 dollars later on. So do you think, keeping in mind I would play 1440p, and getting the 7900XT with intentions on keeping it as long as possible would be a fair reason, because with the small price difference between the 7900GRE and the 7900XT it's worth it in my mind.
This is exactly how you should think, if it is for 4k, then you should use it in 1440p so that it lasts longer over time and you don't have to update the graphics so quickly.
7900 XT such good value currently, was waiting for 8000 series until the CEO announced recently they wont producing high-end tier and that none of them will have the 320bit bus, so for $630 plus two free games I jumped on the 7900 XT OC Phantom White.
The 790pxt is the card to buy right now! It is so odd that it is now a similar rival to the rtx 4070super as the 7900gre is. Although the rx 7900xt is significantly faster in raster performance and matches the 4070super's RT performance.
I'm in the UK At the moment it looks like the best deal bang buck is SAPPHIRE PURE AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT with 16GB GDDR6, AMD RDNA 3 architecture - White 15% Off AT £449.99 but it is expected to go into the Overlockers UK 40% off sale so about £315.
i got the 7800xt from amazon for 427.47 during the prime day deal. the 7900gre didnt go on sale at all on the prime day sale. its why i ended up with the 7800xt i figure 100 dollars cheaper was better.
I am really considering the upgrade to the 7900 xtx. Do you play on 4K? What does the performance look like? Also, I’ve been on nvidia cards since the R9 280 AMD cards and assume the AMD version of the GeForce Experience software has improved but dont know for sure. Do you know if this is the case?
@ Yes it can do 4K well. I would just use the FSR upscaling with it as it helps in some circumstances and just don't use ray tracing. It looks very nice on an OLED. I personally went this route because I don't care about ray tracing. It's not bad by any means but I don't like the performance drop in a lot of circumstances personally. BUT overall an amazing card for anything else.
@ it sounds like the consensus is that it’s the best bang for your buck at the high end. I mostly play fps games with some single player games like the latest assassins creed games but nothing with a lot of ray tracing demands. I have seen the 4070 ti super beat the xtx in more single player games vs fps. It’s a weird balance I am wanting to find.
Right now I'm considering between 7900xt and 7900GRE. I mean 620 bucks for a 20GB graphics card is so tempting. I might downgrade my cpu from a 7800 x3d to 9700x for the GPU upgrade.
If you don't mind here's a little advice A 7900xt and 7900gre pair GREATLY with even a 7 7700x for 1440p gaming so u could squeeze a little more into the gpu doing that or even better storage or smt
Man I feel you... After this video though I am probably not going to wait until next year to spend more on a 5080. The 4080 super seems like a sweet spot. If it really falls below lets say 950 this month I'd likely buy it. If the 7900 xtx goes for 750 or less though I am going to get that. That would be just an insane deal. Screw raytracing and dlss ^^
@ I’m not too bothered about ray tracing, I’ve seen videos on ray tracing but honestly I don’t think it’s worth the extra $100. DLSS does sound pretty convincing but then again not much difference for an extra $100
if you're willing to spend that much then you should just get the 4080S, damn near equal in performance and with better features. ray tracing is usable at that price point
I bought the 6750xt 2 prime days ago for 270 so it gets pretty cheap I also snagged a 7900xt for 570 on a fantastic deal as well. I’m excited for this Black Friday.
Got a 4070 Ti Super. Its one of nvidias best deals. Its a card where you can enjoy RT very well at 1440p with 100fps. Or turn off RT and play 4k if you wish to.
I think the 1080 ti was the best 10 series card for aging. 11 gb vram. I'm still using it. But I'm planning to upgrade soon. Not sure about 4000 cards or just wait for 5000 yet
So dissapointing. I really don't want to leave Nvidea, I like their software too much. I need to upgrade from my 2060 but don't want to change my power supply on my Dell G5.
when getting into the higher end cards, there's 2 things people don't talk about. physical length of the GPU and power requirements. many power supplies cannot support high end video cards even if they can fit in the case.
Just got a rx7900xt a month back for $629 and it was an absolute banger of a purchase. Will have a great gpu for at least the next 5-7 years to come with that 20gb of vram.

I see that the 4070 Ti Super ASUS TUF that you hold in 37:05 is $850, GIGABYTE has the 4070 Ti Super in $800, were you referring to that one? Loved the video🙌🏼
I wanted a 6800 xt earlier this year, but they were out of stock. I ended up getting the xtx version of the 6800 for $391. Seeing the current prices for 6800 xt makes me wish I would have waited. I’m just amazed at how highly rated the 6800 xt still is despite there being later generation options. That’s why I had to have one.
I got a 6800xt with 1yr warranty just this September for $320. It was damn scarce like the last time I saw it on the marketplace and stores were early february. Glad I got it for the price instead of the initial 6800 offered to me for $370. This card is a beast beating the 4070 and the 3080 and trade blows with a 7800xt
i just upgraded to the rx 6750 xt (reference model) from the the rx6600. i got it at microcenter for $320. i also upgraded to a 1440p monitor. getting about the same fps as before, but now at 1440p vs 1080p. i am more than happy with the upgrade.
the rx 6750 xt is an underrated gem. the bes 1080p card on the market and a good entry level 1440p card that handles game with relative ease. if you pair it with a good cpu and 32 gb of ddr4 ram, that alone creates a powerful and capable machine for gaming and even some light video editing and photoshop use. i recommend u guys buy it, I'm sure you won't regret it
What I'm hoping for is the listing for the 50 series Nvidia 5090 - 1600$, 32gb, 512bit bus. 5080 - 1200$, 28gb, 384bit bus. 5070 - 800$, 20gb, 256bit bus. 5060 - 500$, 16gb, 192bit bus. - This is just what I'm hoping to see with the new launch, but In reality im positive its going to be 5090 - 1800$, 32gb 512bit bus 5080 - 1400$, 24gb, 256bit bus 5070 - 1000$, 20gb, 192bit bus 5060 - 600$, 16gb, 128bit bus.
i think a 5090 will cost over 2,2k cuz i read something that it will mostly cost 2,2k € here in EU. so i would say 2-2.5k. 1800$ is almost a bargan for that performance vs 4090 at "1700$". And isnt GDDR7 expensiver then GDDRX6? idk I just throw numbers in xD. And Ngreedy only wants your money + no competition from AMD..so prices will go up for sure. Back in the days we all loved to buy highend for 500€...this crap started when the titan come out..truly a nice marketing stradegy from those companies...and it will continue increase xD
The 5080 might have 16gb and then go down from there if you want to believe the rumors. I expect the 5090 to have 32 however. Expecting Nvidia to put 16gb of vram into a 60 series GPU is a bold claim haha.
I got my RX6800 months ago for $359, no where near any black Friday or cyber Monday deals .... So it'll probably be around that price again. I'm more interested in AM5 boards and CPU prices this time around, if I can get into a 7700X and a good MSI board and ram for a decent price I'll be happy
Got an MSI rx6800xt Gaming X trio last month of September for only $320 with 1yr warranty. Man, this GPU even 4yrs old since release is a total beast for 1440p and 4k. Trade blows with a 7800xt for almost all games with mostly 5% difference if not the same in performance, and totally demolishes its old competitor the 3080 and even the 4070. Crazy value for money!
@@ScatterVolt omg mr mustache replied to me! Btw, my GPU before acquiring the 6800xt was a 6700xt which I purchased because of you putting it on the S-tier list a few months ago.

I was able to get an open box 7900 xtx taichi white for $750 on newegg. I did watch the website like a hawk though. Had no issues with it at all and been killing every game i throw at it with high fps.
Hey graphic nerds in the comments :D Hope you enjoyed the awesome video :) After sliding into the MH Wilds Beta with my RTX 3060 on Wayland I am looking forward to bying a AMD GPU. Wanting to settle below 500€ basically playing only on 1080p I would like to know if the RX 7800 XT would be overkill. My CPU is the Intel i5-12600.
Its always funny looking at amd vs nvidia because its always so clear cut even from an objective standpoint but nvidia will have one feature that people will spend 150+ more than what they should be spending on it. But will admit from what I heard about amd from outside of gaming in a creative work side is actually bad so I wonder whats the outlook like if they ever fix that up
I personally wouldn't turn down an inexpensive RX 6600 or 6650 XT if I had the opportunity I'd definitely turn down a 4060 Ti that is overpriced with that shallow of memory bus width though.
@ The difference is in the memory bandwidth. If a 128 bit bus has 48 GB/s bandwidth, a 256 bit bus will have double (96 GB/s), and a 512 bit bus double the 256 bit
Brother, I would stick it to what I recommend on pcbuilds.gg That build is a little all over the place haha and I don’t wanna write up an essay explaining my thoughts on each component choice.
Yesterday i picked up a Zotac RTX4070 DDR6X for $455 from microcenter...I already have a PNY RTX3060 Ti...did i make a good buy or should i have waited or should i have bought a diffent gpu for that price?
Thank you so much for the constant top tier content, I am gearing up to get my PC together during Black Friday! Will I be able to pick up a 7900xt and put it into the $900 or $1000 builds you have gone over? Assuming I upgrade to 750w for the power?
Scattervolt I have a question. I’m thinking of getting a pc this month because of the Black Friday deals, but the AMD 8000 series all launching quite soon. What do you think I should do? (Pc budget: $1600)
I think you should build your pc using the $1500 build he did and when your ready for the new amd range then you could sell your gpu and use the money to get the new gpu you need. I am new to this myself and taking notes will serve you well
Opinion on 7800x3d and a 4070 super, i mainly play fps shooters like valorant and cs2 but i also like playing souls games and more, think its a good combo for good performance on both?
@kasadam85 complete bullshit. My 7900gre even when it runs at 100% is super quite and never even above 50°c while destroying any game max settings 1440p. If you are rich, sure buy a 4080 super or 4090 for the absolute maximum performance. Anything below, you are literally retarded buying nvidia
@@kasadam85 Bruv the guy is playing fps shooters.... aka little tax on the gpu. The GRE is a good recommendation because it saves money and just pumps out raw frames. The dude won't be using ray tracing in those games.

kinda crazy how these cards are coming out with the same amount of VRAM as my RX480, when the 480 is from what 8 years ago? I get that its faster memory but its just a little silly

This is exactly how you should think, if it is for 4k, then you should use it in 1440p so that it lasts longer over time and you don't have to update the graphics so quickly.
It’s absolutely worth it.
Happy to have found a 4080 for 800. Was planning on waiting for the 5000 series but 1300 msrp for a 5080 is a no-no for me. My budget has limits 😂😅
I really appreciate the positivity you have young man - but its wishful thinking that Radeon prices will drop that low
It’s not wishful thinking. I have data that’ll back up my claims based off of previous Amazon prime days and last years Black Friday deals.
I don't think a lot of people understand how good of a deal those 7900XTXs are. I got the Taichi shown on screen myself and it's insane.
I've already hit the like button within the first 3 secs of the video, always happy to see a scatter video
Thank you very much!
@ I'm upgrading to the 4070ti super myself and can't wait for it
Right now I'm considering between 7900xt and 7900GRE. I mean 620 bucks for a 20GB graphics card is so tempting. I might downgrade my cpu from a 7800 x3d to 9700x for the GPU upgrade.
If you don't mind here's a little advice
A 7900xt and 7900gre pair GREATLY with even a 7 7700x for 1440p gaming so u could squeeze a little more into the gpu doing that or even better storage or smt
7900 xtx or 4080S has been my only question for my future pc
@ yes but the 4080S might not go down in price on Black Friday so if the 7900 xtx does then I’m getting that
7900 xtx!
I bought the 6750xt 2 prime days ago for 270 so it gets pretty cheap
I also snagged a 7900xt for 570 on a fantastic deal as well. I’m excited for this Black Friday.
4070Ti SUPER is gonna be the goat and age like fine wine as the best bang for your buck gold standard.
It reminds me of the 1070 Ti
Really enjoying 130 fps on Witcher 3 with RT Ultra 1440p with my 4070ti super. Great card.
I'm really hopeful to see some 4080s deals to come, can finally build my dream pc
If the 5080 is an upset at launch then getting a discounted 4080 Super now would be a smart buy
when getting into the higher end cards, there's 2 things people don't talk about. physical length of the GPU and power requirements. many power supplies cannot support high end video cards even if they can fit in the case.
Are you going to be doing a similar video for CPU's as well?
Good video, you always spend the right amount of time on each recommendation (against or for) - not too little, not too much, just right.
i bought 7700X with 4070 TI Super and 1440p monitor last week 😊
I hit the like🤟🏽. Steel legend Boards are back in stock at Amazon & MC. Got a B650E for $199.
Thank you
Did you notice the Steel Legend on Amazon went from $179 to $189 to $199 in a matter of 2 weeks?
What a great video. Ive never been more sure on what gpu to buy and been waiting for a while to upgrade my rtx 2060
Just got a rx7900xt a month back for $629 and it was an absolute banger of a purchase. Will have a great gpu for at least the next 5-7 years to come with that 20gb of vram.
when i saw the title my heart stopped beating for a sec thinking that I missed it black friday 😂😂😂
btw, i found an asus tuf rtx 3060 12gb oc for 180$ on ebay should i buy it? and what are the chance of this card being mined?? pls respond 😢
Another banger from ScatterVolt, aka Mr. GPU
Mr GPU? Haha, why do I deserve that title?
@ Cuz I said so… lol. Love your videos, keep em coming!
I’m still happy with my 3080 12gb but maybe next generation , good video.
I see that the 4070 Ti Super ASUS TUF that you hold in 37:05 is $850, GIGABYTE has the 4070 Ti Super in $800, were you referring to that one?
Loved the video🙌🏼
Still glad I got my 6750xt when it was $300. Literally a steal😂
How is it at 1080p?
@ tbh idk. I usually play in 1440p or 4k because I kinda still have a 10400f. Playing 1080p makes my cpu bottle neck my gpu most of the time.
I am very satisfied with my 4070ti super, excelent temperatures and stability with the drivers. I am happy with my purchase. Love your content, dude!
The power draw on the rtx 4060 is really impressive and electricity cost in my area is crazy expensive so im really happy with it.
This card is a beast beating the 4070 and the 3080 and trade blows with a 7800xt
i just upgraded to the rx 6750 xt (reference model) from the the rx6600. i got it at microcenter for $320. i also upgraded to a 1440p monitor. getting about the same fps as before, but now at 1440p vs 1080p. i am more than happy with the upgrade.
the rx 6750 xt is an underrated gem. the bes 1080p card on the market and a good entry level 1440p card that handles game with relative ease.
if you pair it with a good cpu and 32 gb of ddr4 ram, that alone creates a powerful and capable machine for gaming and even some light video editing and photoshop use.
i recommend u guys buy it, I'm sure you won't regret it
For about 8 hours yesterday the 7600xt hit 280 with the game bundle in Amazon. I hope it goes back to that.
Oh, noted. That's nice.
"Right in the crosseyes...!" -- well said @9:27
1:18 I hit the like button because it's Scattervolt. Is that good enough of a reason?
The fact that the 7800xt rivals the 4060ti in price is crazy. No brainer buy at below $499
Clean vid bro! It’s great quality.
Thank you for the video I will be building my first pc and this is really helpful
What I'm hoping for is the listing for the 50 series Nvidia
5090 - 1600$, 32gb, 512bit bus.
5080 - 1200$, 28gb, 384bit bus.
5070 - 800$, 20gb, 256bit bus.
5060 - 500$, 16gb, 192bit bus.
- This is just what I'm hoping to see with the new launch, but In reality im positive its going to be
5090 - 1800$, 32gb 512bit bus
5080 - 1400$, 24gb, 256bit bus
5070 - 1000$, 20gb, 192bit bus
5060 - 600$, 16gb, 128bit bus.
i think a 5090 will cost over 2,2k cuz i read something that it will mostly cost 2,2k € here in EU. so i would say 2-2.5k.
Wishful thinking haha
The 5080 might have 16gb and then go down from there if you want to believe the rumors. I expect the 5090 to have 32 however.
Expecting Nvidia to put 16gb of vram into a 60 series GPU is a bold claim haha.
The prices are only crappy because a holes keep buying overpriced. If people would slow down and boycott, the prices would be more reasonable.
OK, quick question;
Should I get the 4070 Super, or should I wait for AMD's upcoming RDNA 4 GPUs?
Bought a 3060 12gb for a price of a rx6600 so im happy with that
That's good
first timer here, thanks for the video o7
Glad I picked up my 6650xt for $200 on prime day.
I'm building my first gaming PC AMD AM5 Ryzen 5 7500F and pairing it with RX 5700 XT 8gb
Nice
Equivalent video for CPU’s? I’d love that, it would be a huge help for me
That’s up next
Got an MSI rx6800xt Gaming X trio last month of September for only $320 with 1yr warranty. Man, this GPU even 4yrs old since release is a total beast for 1440p and 4k. Trade blows with a 7800xt for almost all games with mostly 5% difference if not the same in performance, and totally demolishes its old competitor the 3080 and even the 4070. Crazy value for money!
That's an awesome deal! What are your temperatures while gaming?
Lucky
@@ScatterVolt omg mr mustache replied to me! Btw, my GPU before acquiring the 6800xt was a 6700xt which I purchased because of you putting it on the S-tier list a few months ago.
@@fugginrambo I don't have much time testing it for most triple A games because I mainly play competitive games like CS2, Dota2, and Valorant but I tried it on AC Odyssey, Elden Ring, Sekiro, GoW and im currently playing RDR2 and Ghost of Tsushima back to back. Usually runs between 60-67°C @1440p max settings 180-210W but because I undervolted it.
I snagged a 7900 XTX Red Devil for $775 on eBay last week... Best GPU I've had. I benched 3rd in the Time Spy Extreme charts paired with an OC'd 12700K.
I live in Canada & Prices are Higher here, but 3 weeks ago, I picked up an XFX RX6750XT for $399.00 Cad.
It's definitely a Better GPU than the RX 7600XT!!!
The XFX 6800 was $100.00 Cad. More!!!
Thank you 🥲
You're welcome
Any recommendations for intel?
wild, last year i built with a 7900 xt for like 730, crazy to see 7900xtx for like 50 bucks more a year later
I was able to get an open box 7900 xtx taichi white for $750 on newegg. I did watch the website like a hawk though. Had no issues with it at all and been killing every game i throw at it with high fps.
15:55 okay I genuinely just figured out after 10 years of PC building why someone would buy an empty GPU box on eBay 👂
Wario out here giving us the heads up on the gpu deals 🎉🎉🎉
Bought the 6800 a few months ago. Great GPU
I actually have that venture 2X 3060 and love it! It will be upgraded. Perhaps to a 5080? We shall see.
I would like to mention that the ProArt 4060 Ti 16gb is at $499 and is arguably the best option for content creation under $600.
just purchased a 4070 ti super for $650. Under 700 after tax. IT HAPPENED!
Where? 😏
Its always funny looking at amd vs nvidia because its always so clear cut even from an objective standpoint but nvidia will have one feature that people will spend 150+ more than what they should be spending on it. But will admit from what I heard about amd from outside of gaming in a creative work side is actually bad so I wonder whats the outlook like if they ever fix that up
If that 7900 XT gets that low....I'm gonna act up man...
Anything with 128bit memory bus is not worth the money………regardless of how much memory it has.
Thats why i bought a 3060 12gb for the same price as rx 6600 instead of the 4060
Agree
I personally wouldn't turn down an inexpensive RX 6600 or 6650 XT if I had the opportunity
I'd definitely turn down a 4060 Ti that is overpriced with that shallow of memory bus width though.
Why? Are numbers really that important? I see some 128 bit cards compete and even beat 256 bit cards
@ The difference is in the memory bandwidth. If a 128 bit bus has 48 GB/s bandwidth, a 256 bit bus will have double (96 GB/s), and a 512 bit bus double the 256 bit
What can you say about this build?
1. Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 5 7600
2. Graphics Card (GPU): AMD RX 7700 XT
3. Motherboard: ASRock B650M or MSI B550M (for
AMD) / MSI B760M (for Intel)
4. Memory (RAM): 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 MHz or
DDR5-4800 MHz
5. Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB NVMe SSD
6. Case: Montech AIR 903
7. Power Supply (PSU): Segotep 750W 80+ Gold
8. Cooler: DeepCool AK400
Brother, I would stick it to what I recommend on pcbuilds.gg
That build is a little all over the place haha and I don’t wanna write up an essay explaining my thoughts on each component choice.
i already hit the 👍 button
Thank you
I went with a $200 rtx 3060 12gb. Simply for the extra vram for vrchat and other games when you go higher in settings.
Vr chat uses over 8gb of vram??
Yesterday i picked up a Zotac RTX4070 DDR6X for $455 from microcenter...I already have a PNY RTX3060 Ti...did i make a good buy or should i have waited or should i have bought a diffent gpu for that price?
Thank you so much for the constant top tier content, I am gearing up to get my PC together during Black Friday! Will I be able to pick up a 7900xt and put it into the $900 or $1000 builds you have gone over? Assuming I upgrade to 750w for the power?
Could you possibly do a monitor ranking?
Save yourself a little $, get the 7900 gre
@@SwingArmCityIt's incredibly inefficient, I suspect it will generate more heat under heavy loads because of that thus a shorter lifespan
@@kasadam85 nonsense, who told you that?
@@kasadam85 Bruv the guy is playing fps shooters.... aka little tax on the gpu. The GRE is a good recommendation because it saves money and just pumps out raw frames. The dude won't be using ray tracing in those games.
I want to build a PC from scratch, but to be honest I don't know if this is a good time to buy, should I buy now (end of November/Black Friday) or January/March?
Thanks in advance
kinda crazy how these cards are coming out with the same amount of VRAM as my RX480, when the 480 is from what 8 years ago? I get that its faster memory but its just a little silly
Happy to hit that like button for you!! Always great videos! Thank u!!
got xfx 6750 xt from amazon for 319. grabbed it. powercolor had it for 299 with 2 fans
