Lol, Nvidia will NEVER launch another gpu as good as the 1080 ti. People that bought them didnt upgrade for 2 or 3 generations, if at all. And with nobody putting any pressure on them whatsoever, you're not likely to see anything exciting until someone does pressure them.

Well I feel the price gap between 4070 ti and 4070 super is too huge for the performance that i can get I originally thought about buying a 4070, but then compared it with 4070 super, went for super because the price difference between 4070 and 4070s is only minimal, then I compare again 4070s with 4070ti, the gap is huge but the performance is only slightly better when gaming at 1440p
@@ziweitan I agree. If based solely on performance, the 4070 ti super should be in the S tier. There are only 3-4 other cards from AMD that could beat it. I didn't like this guys ranking but I think he did it based on price, which I think is meh.
Wow.... a List I COMPLETELY agree with. That's rare since most people doing these lists are either nividia or amd fans. Hard to get one without bias and based on pure overall score. so happy about seeing the 6800 get S tier, i just finished upgrading from an old 2060 from my first prebuilt 4 years ago to a 6800 literally 2 days ago for streaming and gaming. i'm super satysfied about the performance but most importatly about the temps, under "my load" on 1080p utilizing i think not even 40% (because i play comp games like Rocket league, aimlabs, the finals etc...) the gpus stays FIRM under 60c° and has helped a lot my cpu temps too. to show how much my upgrade helped, i went from 84c° on my gpu and 70+c° on my cpu if i decided to use 240fps on rocket league (when playing i used 165 btw, my monitor rfr but still i would get 77+c°) to now 360fps with 60-c°on my gpu and 55c° cpu, i really can't be more satysfied with my purchase. btw i have the 6800 paired with 12600KF, 6000-30CL 32gb RAM and a 850W gold PSU (the cpu was on sale on 185€, 40-45 less than K version. the gpu was a total of 400€)

Did you manage to OC that 7900 GRE? How much of perfomance gain did you get? I saw informations on UA-cam that this card has crazy OC potential, like you’re getting close to stock 7900 XT perfomance level for 150€ less and 4GB VRAM less.
Purchased a 7800 XT to replace my 6600 non-XT (gave it to a friend at work), and paired it with a 5800X3D, hooking it up to a 55” 4K TV. Playing Cities Skylines 2 at 1440p near max at 40+ fps with 180,000+ population. All other games are at 4K.

The reason RTX3060 is so popular is because is just works on on any game you throw at it at 1440p by using DLSS. Reviewers don’t like DLSS but the matter of fact is that is just works wonders on AAA games. Power consumption is now that big and neither is heat. It just plainly works OK (not great, but good enough). I never had any issues with drivers and eventually gave it to my son a year ago and he is very happy with it. I got a 3080 and I feel I didn’t get that much performance on COD …
There is a Framegen mod that allows FG on 3xxx cards in all games. Also, the 3060 oveclocks greatly and scales good, while 4060 gets only a percent to to improvement. So tuned/overclocked 3060 and 4060 performs the same and if you've run the DLSS Framegen hook they both have Framegen. Also, 4060 is only 8 pcie lanes and if you are on a pcie gen3 system the 3060 will outperform the 4060. And then there is the 12 gb vram that don't limit you.
@@Neilos-sd6ti Mine does fine at 1440p but I don’t really play the newest AAA games. Why play games at their most expensive in their worst state necessitating more expensive hardware?
@@IchIch-n3k well... for 1440p playing at least for now is working fine! More than 60 fps in every game. With the more demanding ones (like Alan Wake 2).
@@IchIch-n3kthe amount of vram isnt really climbing that hard. 12gb vram is enough for 5 years. Also if you are at that pricepoint. The 7900gre is an equal match to the 4070super. Taking oc and efficiency into account, they have exactly the same fps/dollar.
A great video that really sold me on the RX 7800 XT, thanks for that. I now have my RX 7800 XT MERC. Even undervolted (since I only have a 650w PSU - which I plan to replace soon) it's a pixel crunching monster and easily handles everything I throw at it at 1440p without any lags or stutters. It runs much better than the RX 6750 XT that it replaced, using significantly less power. It's also whisper quiet, which is a nice plus.
Here's an interesting fact that might not be commonly discussed. I did some calculations for myself: If you consider that the RX 7800 XT uses an average of 260 watts (225 watts for games like CS2 and 280 watts for AAA games) for 2 hours per day and 60 watts at idle for 8 hours per day (since I work from home), you get 1 kW per day and 1460 kW over 4 years. In contrast, the RTX 4070 uses 180 watts for 2 hours of gaming and 40 watts at idle for 8 hours per day, resulting in 0.68 kW per day and 992 kW over 4 years. The difference between the two is 468 kW. In Germany, where 1 kW costs 0.53 euros, this results in a cost difference of 248 euros. So, if you think you're saving money by buying AMD graphics cards and you live in Europe, you might actually be paying more. And 248 euros is the difference for me-if you play more than 2 hours per day on average, the difference could be even greater) You could spend this 200-300 euros buying for example 4070 super or 4070Ti instead of spending them on bills
WTF? 0.5e for kW? How is that even possible? In Bosnia its 0.08e. You ppl are getting ripped off. I never even turn off my PC. It works 24/7. I just shut down my TV when done (I use it as monitor).
same, got it for 300 euros, but paired with r5 3600 still runs amazing, best investment ive done in my life, playing all games on 4k with fsr quality and enjoying life
@@NostalgicMem0rieswe have the same CPU but mine is an Rx 6800 XT. Wouldn't the r5 3600 bottleneck my 6800xt by a noticeable amount in 1080p since the CPU is so old now? Or am I wrong and games should run perfectly fine?
@@zerozone5848 no you are right, at 1080p i see some bottleneck, but i dont play at that resolutions, mostly i play at 4k or 1440p if game is really intense with graphics, so bottleneck is minimal on 1440p and non existent at 4k. few games that i ran into issues were assassin creed games, older ones, odysey, origins and even valhalla a bit, even tho im playing at 4k with fsr or scaling down, i get cpu at 100% and it gives stutter in big cities and dense areas where cpu is maxed, probably cause its upscaling from lower res idk, not really tech person so no idea. but besides few games it runs very well on most games if i keep resolution high. of course upgrading pcu would solve all issues, but my psu is really weak and i would need to upgrade it too, so 150 for psu and 300 400 euros for cpu is not reasonable price for me, im gonna be ok with this build, next time ill build more balanced and future proof build

@@lIIllIlIIIlIlllIIlIfor 40bucks? 😂 Why would I spend more than 70 bucks for a GPU? This PC isn’t really for gaming. Have a RX 7900 XTX with a Ryzen 7 7800X3d. In most cases, my pc runs very smooth. But there's been a few games that have a lot of conflict with my 7900XTX. Retail WoW seems to crash often. Yes! And DLSS Q takes some vram and 3060 12gb can handle that fine, + you can use better textures, they take also vram. 3060 12gb is not that bad at all. I have one, and I´m still very pleaced. And got it at very good price.
4060 is suitable only for laptop gaming since a 15-16 inch monitor doesn't need highest texture and 8 GB vram is enough. (at least for nowdays) 3060 has a bit more smooth experience on 1% low but 15% less horsepower as well. It's still enough for most of esport games (and most of current titles on 1080 display) but 4 GB more vram can't help much in newer titles when you need higher fps.

Very happy with the performance especially coming from a laptop. Have had zero issues and love being able to play any fps game with super high frames.
I feel like I kind of have to remind people that when you're outside of US, prices really don't usually match up and that means tier lists/reviews are very relative and you as a consumer must take this as a data point instead of a one and done deal. For example, I recently copped a PowerColor Fighter RX 6750XT for $350 USD. It was a difficult find given the only RX 6000 series that's brand new here is the 6600. Meanwhile, the 7700xt is at a whopping $550. Even now, I would love to get a used 6800 (if there were goddamn any), its a bit of a modern miracle considering you could probably get away using it with a 550 Watt PSU. At release, they went for $1000+ here, might as well go 4080 Super/7900XT Oh and at Amazon prices, I'd put the 6750XT at B-Tier. The power draw trade-off is just ain't it. The step-up between the 6750XT in terms of performance and the fact that it draws LESS power makes you think there should have been a 6755XTX or something, because the difference is just that insane

3060 is a good card but for new PC buyers, there are better options.
Ive yet to find a game were my 3060 struggles in 1080p.

By the way: The 4060 has only 8GB of VRAM. The 3060 has 12. 8GB is too low for 1440p.
I don’t like the 3060 and 4060 , but I understand why the older card is more popular when it has more VRAM
u can still buy 3060ti brand new lil bro
@@lIIllIlIIIlIlllIIlIfor 40bucks? 😂
Why would I spend more than 70 bucks for a GPU? This PC isn’t really for gaming.
I considered an Arc A580, but 150bucks is still too much for a GPU that isn’t supposed to be under heavy load.
I easily could have gone by with integrated graphics but I decided that an extra 20 bucks for an RX580 is still worth it. Just in any case.

Ah, I see 😁
Have a RX 7900 XTX with a Ryzen 7 7800X3d. In most cases, my pc runs very smooth. But there's been a few games that have a lot of conflict with my 7900XTX. Retail WoW seems to crash often. Rumors I seen is that it has something to do with directX 12. But it crashes even when using dirext X 11. There were notes of this happening back in Dec of 2023 and it never seemed to get resolved. So I'm not sure, but I'm not a big fan of a gpu that crashes on a game and it's been a year and people are still reporting the same issues.
I bought a 7800xt in november i still clicked so fast😂
6750XT owner here and still happy with it since i bought it two years ago
40:48 i gifted a friend one just because it’s selling for $285 brand new! Upgraded his rig form an Rx580 to a 6800 was A HUGE JUMP.
Insane
People really need to stop crying about 12gb lol. Its more than enough for almost every game worth playing, it will be enough for gta 6 aswell.. the only reason I see for a more than 16gb is if you are working with deep learning
Its about only getting 12gb for the asking price 😂. If you want to splurge 600 and only getting 12gb, then sure 😂
12GB is great, for $400 or less only. So 7600xt or 7700xt are the only fairly priced 12GB cards.
Now AMD also has fg and fsr 3.1
Right? How did he "missed" that?
@@itsatrap4986Currently barely any games have it , maybe most games will have it eventually.
@@Unknown-wd7ub For now you don't need it that much, by the time fsr4 and its newer versions are out, all games will have it and the card will age better than expected too.
We are buying the 3060 because it has 12gb and it’s below $280!!! At least mine was, got it for $273 after tax.
Still Not worth anymore.
@@KarisMatic-dg3uzWhy?

whats crazy is my 8 year old 1080ti outperforms half the shit on this list still. my gf enjoys the old rig on any modern game to this day, and while its not optimal she plays it on a 4k tv and still gets very stable fps
Budget cases tier list would be awesome! Thanks for the content!
I like the sound effects that play every time you place a card in a tier lol
the 4060 makes u spend about $100 more for less vram and only very few performance boost over the 3060
(at least for nowdays)
3060 has a bit more smooth experience on 1% low but 15% less horsepower as well. It's still enough for most of esport games (and most of current titles on 1080 display) but 4 GB more vram can't help much in newer titles when you need higher fps.
@@amir.hos3in it can if u need to use dlss Q which DOES use up more vram and can be used to play newer titles with ease, especially with fsr3 releasing to the public officially from amd . ive been usgin the 3060 in cyberpunk with settings all on high in 1080p (without path tracing) + fsr3 and ive been having no problem playin around 65-70 fps without going under 60 no matter what and ive seenthe gpu use more than 8gb of vram to run it that way
Been wanting a max setting 1440p gpu and the 4070ti super at £770 with all the features seems like the choice + the PNY XLR8 model is at that price finally my favourite looking model

trust me it's worth it, I've been using it for 3 months and I love it even though the rx 7900xt is quiet better at gaming performance but I still choose the RTX 4070 ti super because it can do everything not just for gaming
25:01 Its surprising how good a 6650xt is you can just skip 4060,3060,7600,7600xt, even 4060ti for 220$
Fun Fact
6650xt is basically PS5 gpu u can search a game optimized settings on yt and 99% of time 6650xt will run the game on 60fps 1440p optimized setting fsr quality(or balanced on alan wake 2 and hellblade 2)😂🎉

Well no shit, if you don't care about money get a 4090, otherwise this list is what any person buying a gpu is going to look at
@@Lanurus what is the title to the video, it’s misleading.
@@mickyryan8474 The word "Ultimate" in the title of the video refers to the tier list being of high quality. It's not misleading unless you make it.

Oof
So you can't compare Nvidia graphics to AMD? I'm confused, please explain.
@@TheMystikal82 the architectures of VRAM are different, the architecture of DLSS and FSR are different, the process of frame generation of Nvidia and """frame generation""" of AMD are different, and inall this technologies because the architecture of Nvidia is different are better as well, find out how it works, something that this youtuber needs to do too.

My first AMD card was also the rx 5700 and I remember specific games I wanted to play constantly crashing, so for years I wrote AMD off as a crap brand with bad drivers. Now I use exclusively AMD in my builds and have had very few issues.

Just subbed! This is something I really needed. Looking to learn to build my pc on a budget for my first build!
I know nothing about PC world, i'm new to it but you sound like you know what you are saying so thank you for this clear comparison. It was very helpful helping me choose my first GPU :) !
Was able to snipe a 7900xtx red devil on newegg when they were accidentally reduced to 820 for an hour. Thought the order wouldn’t go through and ended up actually getting it.
At release, they went for $1000+ here, might as well go 4080 Super/7900XT
Oh and at Amazon prices, I'd put the 6750XT at B-Tier. The power draw trade-off is just ain't it. The step-up between the 6750XT in terms of performance and the fact that it draws LESS power makes you think there should have been a 6755XTX or something, because the difference is just that insane
This was just the video I was wanting to watch, thank you for making the long video
I’m really enjoying these types of videos. They are informative and since I’m building my first pc, they’re really coming in handy. Thank you!
