- Come see our new van! We recently bought a 2018 12 Passenger Ford Transit with a medium roof, vinyl floors, and more! Come take a tour and learn why we love it!
My auntie rented a van like this for our trip to universal studios and it was fun
Thank you for posting this! We are taking our huge family on a road trip and this was the only video I found that went in depth on the van and the space. I’m hoping and praying we get one just like this! Your video was so helpful and your kiddos are so precious!
Glad it was helpful! I hope you do get one like our van! It's been fantastic!
Thank you for the review! I am planning on renting one of these for a family vacation in a few months and this is exactly what I needed to see.
Where do you rent from? I looked through Priceline and Orbitz...couldn't find one.
Good review and to the point - exactly what I wanted to know - short and sweet - Thanks, mom!
This kiddo jumping gives you a great idea of the head room. Great video!!❤ and I listened with the sound down lol still got a lot out of it
I use your youtube videos as my white noise to help me sleep at night. also I am autistic. i like 15 passenger vans, and Airbus A321 aircraft as a hobby. i also like Yamaha stereo equipment.
Nice! We just bought a used 2015 12 passenger Chevy. I like that it has cargo space. We had to let our 7 passenger Montana go as I am due in less than 2 months. Had it 10 years! Hoping this van lasts that long. I like how tall it is, too! Makes buckling kids while pregnant much easier. Love seeing that you can vacation in yours!
We had our 15 passenger Chevy for 10 years too, so I imagine you will get some great years out of your new-to-you 12 passenger! :)
did you register as private ir commercial in the insurance?. I bought mine 12 passenger chevy but insurance wamt me to pay commercial vehicl
@@ofelialimos9520 they wanted commercial for us, too, but we proved to the insurance company that it was a passenger van as we basically swapped our license from our previous van. We couldn't get the extra insurance on the keys like we hoped to, though, because all the sales stuff online automatically claims it as a commercial vehicle.
Ours Cost to fill with 93 octane when the Low Fuel 50 mile light comes on is 62.11 and that is 22.513 Gal.
Great video, we are looking at something similar for a family adventure vehicle. We are 8 so a 12 passenger with the rear seats removed should give us enough space for a bed or two and storage!
Sounds like fun!
This is the best honest car tour ever lol
We have one of these at Spring Hill Suits ours is a 2018 350 High top roof model and the 3.7L 6 Cyl and I've noticed we use 93 octane premium fuel and were getting 23 highway/ 17 city 20 mixed. I have noticed it has a lot more power with the premium fuel.
Thanks for sharing that!
Thank for the information!
12 seater,seems to be spacious .
Nice! My mom is pregnant with baby #10 so that van would be perfect!😂
Love from my channel💕

Cool van
I'm thinking about getting one of these but what I'm trying to find out is how well the seats recline. Our big kids HATED taking a road trip in our bench seat van last year because they were sitting straight up the whole time and couldn't get into a comfortable position. Does the slight recline in the back seats make a difference? Or barely as much as airplane seats?
It is definitely not a full recline, but it is a bit better than an airplane.
Can you fold the back seats for more cargo space? Or do you have to take the seats out?
You have to take the seats out.
I just wish the Transit had a higher towing capacity.
There is a tow package, but I'm not sure what the capacity is on it.
I see you have carseats but what about rear facing seats?
It fits rear facing just as well, and there are tether anchors too.
How are the seats for car seat installation? We are looking at this for our next vehicle but all of our kids are still either in boosters or car seats and it’s tricky to get them all installed. Just wondering what your experience was. Thanks!
It was SUPER simple! And the tether is easy to use too. I like it because every seat has its own seatbelt which makes it very easy to install car seats anywhere!
How much does it cost to fill the tank and how is the mpg...
The cost depends on where you live and how much gas is. Ours is getting around 17 mpg.
So I’m planning a trip with my family to go from Illinois to California and I have 12 ppl out of the 12 2 are babies and I’m just curious is this 12 seater better or is the 15 seater better for us to have we need cargo room but running out of options 😭
Get the 12! There is plenty of room for carseats, and plenty of cargo space. It is the same size as the 15 passenger, so when you have less seats, you have more cargo room.
@@AmyRaisingArrows thank you
Thanks for the review. Do you know anything about the 2020 transit that will be awd?
No, I had not heard that! This is probably it for us on big vans, though.
It does come with optional AWD in 2020.
Hi do you guys still have this van? If so do you only use to go on a vacation? Or do you use it for daily needs? Me and my family are thinking about getting one ...
Yes, we still own it, and LOVE it! We take it to the mountains, and it's my everyday driver, including groceries and errands.
@@AmyRaisingArrows Thank you so much!
Do the seats 💺 recline
Slightly. There is a handle that you pull on that allows each seat to lean back just a bit. But definitely NOT a full recline like the front passenger seat.
Can I ask how many car seat teethers ans lower anchors?
I have a question I haven't been able to find online. Do you know the distance from the first row (not counting driver and passenger seats) back of seat to back of van? We want to convert a 12 passenger mid roof to an 8 passenger (get rid of last row) but wanted to see if our bikes could still fit into the van along with our 6 kids between the 1 and 2 configuration of the actual second row (not counting the front seats). Also do you know the distance from the 1 and 2 seat config of the second row? Thanks!
Do all of the seats recline flat or are they able to bend so that you can actually lay a mattress on them and go camping? Or do you have to physically remove the chairs? I'd like to be able to ideally keep the chairs in but lay them entirely flat. Is that possible?
Sorry, they don't lie flat. They are are easy to remove, but they aren't like a minivan stow n go type set up.
how tall was your son when he showed the roof height inside the van?
I'm not totally for sure, but probably around 5 feet.
Does any of the seats in the back can fold down? Thinking of renting one for a small move
They do not fold down, but they do come out fairly quickly and easily.
Hi I plan on renting one and I’m wondering if it has charger ports throughout
Ours does not have charger ports, but the newer models might.
@@AmyRaisingArrows yes it had one in each row. Thank you
do the seats recline or fold all the way?
Most of the seats recline a bit, but not very far. And they don't fold down, but you can remove most of the seats.
Hi! Do you have any issue finding a parking place with this van?
At first, I would park WAY out there, and there are still some times I will do that to avoid close quarters, but I've gotten quite adept at parking just about everywhere with no issues. There have been a few occasions where we didn't fit through a drive through (couldn't make the turn) or found some parking lots to be way too tight, but that is rare.
did you register it as a commercial vehicle?
No. It's a personal vehicle, so no need for that. You also don't need a commercial license for it.
Is that the t250 edition?
WHO needs a vehicle for 12 passengers ? I believe thats called a BUS.
Can you stand up in the van and how tall are you
yes! I'm 5'4"
Hows the gas on this
Around 17-18 mpg.
Too big need a short weelbace 8 passager Van
Have you had issues with win pushing it around?
No, we haven't, but that was one reason we decided against the high top and got the medium roof instead.
@@AmyRaisingArrows did you compare to the Nissan Nv?
@@amandacollins518 Yes, we did. Honestly, it was the price that held us back. We love Nissans (we own a Xterra and our son owns a Maxima), but the big vans are so pricey!
@@AmyRaisingArrows meanwhile their contenders (Yukon xl expedition max etc) are easily double.
@@amandacollins518 buying large family vehicles is no joke! Maybe a limo is the answer! lol
You said 15 Passenger van, its a 12 passenger, Lol
Yes, our last van was a 15 passenger, and I was still in the habit of saying that. oops!
Do any seats fold down?
No, they do not.
