Very helpful! Thanks a lot. I have an LS that I’m wanting the radio buttons on the back. You think I’ll need a new clock spring as well or should be good with OEM wiring?
I got the same exact truck z71, color and all. The only option I don’t have is the heated steering wheel I’m gonna order one and try thanks for the video.
Where did you get the steering wheel? Yours looks brand new. I love the feature and want to upgrade mine that has only the cruise control. Thanks for the video
What was the part number for this if you happen to have it handy in an email or receipt? Hard to find hte silver trimmed vs denali trimmed off silver color
I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado LTZ I just got this week I wanted to try to add heated steering wheel have you had any luck with this model year thank you
I thought you said in the video that you were going to add links and info in the description. It's a good video, but without part numbers, it's kind of useless.
where do you find the correct clock spring?? I'm looking to do this same upgrade in my mothers 2018 Chevy equinox for a charismas present to her and can't find a clock spring with that black wire (the pig tail) you were talking about. where could I buy one?
How has this been working with the power ran direct? No issues with getting to hot? Would think the bcm would send a pulse of power to help regulate the power to the heating element? Cause I want to do this but dont want to flash anything
He's still using power from that fuse block which is on the heated wheel circuit. It's just that the factory pigtail is not connected to the fuse block if you don't have pwr adj pedals.
@@AlanTrades if you look under the dash there may or may not be the wire to power the heated wheel. That will plug into the harness from the new clock spring. Some guys report that wire is already powered. On mine it wasn't. Supposedly you can flash the computer to tell it there's a heated wheel. I just did an add a fuse to the correct circuit and did a power jumper wire.
@@AlanTrades if you Google add a circuit it pops up. Just select the right fuse size. I don't have the info on the ones I ordered anymore. But they pop right up.
Hello, did you have an issue after fixing your wiring and installing the wheel where the AppStore app on the truck would say error every time you started the truck?
@@obsessivehobbies5464 I’m not super knowledgeable with this type of stuff and the heated button doesn’t work but all of the other buttons do. I may have the same issue you showed with yours in the video. I might have it to a wrong fuse that is causing an issue
I don’t know why GM is so stingy with heated steering wheels. All the mopar stuff I’ve owned in the last 10 years had heated steering wheels. My wife’s $65k 17 suburban doesn’t have it. But her 17 $35k Durango did.
Thanks for the video. I had to do the same on my 18 with the fuse having power but the plug being dead. You the man!
"Suns out and it's weird for Pittsburgh" so f'n true my dude. thanks for the video.

Hey bro what clock spring did you use ?
What was the part number for this if you happen to have it handy in an email or receipt? Hard to find hte silver trimmed vs denali trimmed off silver color
What clock spring did you use?
Would I be able to add this steering wheel to my 2010 silverado and not need additional wiring
The power wire from the fuse tap goes to the ground or the positive terminal on the harness? Please help thanks
Whats the part number for steering wheel and clock spring please?
I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado LTZ I just got this week I wanted to try to add heated steering wheel have you had any luck with this model year thank you
Any way you can tell me where you got wheel and clock spring? I have a 2016 2500 ltz
Did you also run the black ground wire to a ground bolt?
Do u have any part numbers and where you bought the parts at,??
I thought you said in the video that you were going to add links and info in the description. It's a good video, but without part numbers, it's kind of useless.
Hey can you tell me the part # for the clockspring?
I have a 2015 Sierra 1500 All Terrain. Will this work with the 1500 part numbers you provide?
Did you still have the heated wheel that had the adaptive cruise.
Did you have to get a special clockspring for 2018? Online gm parts says the 2014-2017 doesn’t fit.
Brother, appreciate what you are trying to do but you need to clean up the delivery. I think I know less than I did before I watched the video.
Shopkey says to go in the sides for air bag like you did.

I found mine only at a chevy dealership I ordered it took a day to come in.
Do you know the item number on this?
Great video new subscriber here
Where did you end up putting the ground wire?
Does anyone have the part number for the steering wheel.

No issues at all. It doesn't seem to get too hot or anything. I use it literally every day

all of the temperature control is in the wheel itself probably to save wiring in the clockspring. all it needs is power
There is small slots on either side to get a small screw driver in to release the air bag.
Do you still have steering wheel ?
So did you need a new clockspring or could you have used your old one with the non heated wheel?
You definitely need the new clockspring
@@obsessivehobbies5464 some videos show no additional wires needed, that's why I'm confused. What wiring harness did you make?

Hey any chance you know the part number?
Would this be possible in a 2018 silverado 2500 work truck? Right now I just have the plastic wheel
It is out of my 2018. It should work for yours
How much for the steering wheel old one
I need that leather steering wheel with the Bluetooth function. I bought a 2015 Tahoe PPV and the steering wheel is missing the Bluetooth module.
The stock wheel I took out?
@@obsessivehobbies5464 is it for sale?
@@BigMacBook1300 if you mean the stock leather one without the heating element sure. If I got 50 bucks for it I'd be happy.

Hello, did you have an issue after fixing your wiring and installing the wheel where the AppStore app on the truck would say error every time you started the truck?
No issues but I don't think I've used the app store in years. I'll check and see if mine has an error

Look on ebay for both
All you had to do was take out the main fuse. Didn't need to remove batt cable
You need to watch we’re your putting your fingers
