The video discusses a technique called "Addictive Voice Recognition Technique (AVRT)," presented as "A Tool for how to beat addiction" or "A Tool For How TO Beat Addiction On Your Own." AVRT focuses on distinguishing between one's own desires and the "Addictive Voice" that urges continued addiction. It emphasizes the power of choice and asserts that individuals are capable of controlling their actions independent of their addictive urges. The addictive voice is characterized as the internal dialogue that supports or suggests future use of the addiction. The video explains the concept of the "Beast," representing the primal, addictive aspect of human nature, and the importance of recognizing and overcoming its influence. It encourages making a "big plan," a commitment to lifelong abstinence from the addiction, and rejecting any doubts or excuses. It emphasizes the present moment as the only time to take decisive action against addiction, urging viewers to assert control over their impulses and commit fully to recovery. Overall, the video provides insights and techniques for individuals struggling with various addictions to reclaim control of their lives.

15 years ago I went through the AVRT program and I’ve been happily sober ever sense. I was a miracle!
I'm sobbing. I wish someone gave me this kind of support/advice/recognition in the beginning.

Holy §hit, im new to AVRT, but i can attest that someone(s) here has done their self observation homework!
I am a non-athiest, but I love how this AVRT aporoach is dealing directly with what I know to be the cause of more injury to myself than all my perceived "enemies" combined, and who/what is this destroyer of lives?
_the voice(s) in my head_
for people with radical life threatening addictions, their experience has made them motivated, and a radical approach may be what works for them, not b.s. theories but a tangible method that they can experience for themselves, the hard part of AVRT is also the beauty, the dojo is open and accessible 24/7
and
it's as close as the voice(s) in your head.
Thank You,
am sharing this with someone who if they don't stop, I don't know if they'll be alive to try anything, but like I said, that's a radical motivation!
This is how I quit drinking for good, its great!
I am happy that AVRT is getting around again.
I will never PMO again. And I will never change my mind.
Amen. Other than that is AV
My bro is rocking 🎉🎉🎉
serious inquiry, what means PMO?
@@words4dyslexicon PMO stands for Pornography Masturbation Orgasm, or in other words the act of masturbating to pornography.
Sadly I gave into the addiction after 70+ days, but I'm back on track again.
@ParabnormalExperience pornography-masturbation-orgasm. I had to look it up lol.
Jack Trimpey's Rational Recovery is truly life changing! Thank you!
Every addicted person in the world should watch this video
Dudeeeeeee, when you said all those things the beast might say at around 15-20 minutes in I felt so called out lol. My addictive voice has used so many of those. Anyways I love this video and it saved me from watching -- again today ❤
Really cool sort of a guided meditation, hope the algorithm picks it up, I'm sure it could help a lot of people.
Sou do Brasil e descobri isso por uma série no Netflix que minha filha me indicou, VOU estudar mais sobre esse assunto.
With recent traumatic occurrences in my life, my addictive voice has been telling me to just do it because i’m depressed and to wait until I feel better. This helped me, thank you so much.
This was great
thank you very much for this video
You helped me to remind myself about AVRT time and time again when I rewatched it
Tell us about valproate and carbamazepine reducing drug cravings and relapse.
