I’m SHOCKED you don’t have 100s of Ks of sub and views per video. Talk about a hidden gem on UA-cam. Thanks for the info my man. You helped me crush my mental health portion on all my tests. Hopefully your channel will blow up soon
I’m autistic and adhd. Vyvanse is my lifeblood. Works sooooo well for me. Methylphenidate tho….causes me manic homicidal ideation. Something I’ve never experienced with any other med or headspace. I took concerta for two days. The second day was only a test to make sure the first day wasn’t a fluke. But I was having to fight against the meds to not strangle one of my bffs. It was such a scary experience
1:46 Labels 5-hydroxytryptophan (serotonin) as noradrenaline under mono-amine examples. Fun fact, noradrenaline can also be called beta-hydroxy dopamine (and adrenaline can be called N-Methyl, Beta-Hydroxy Dopamine or N-Methyl Noradrenaline). The only real difference between dopamine and noradrenaline (besides their respective receptors and effects) is that noradrenaline has a hydroxyl group (-OH) on the beta carbon (second carbon from the amine). It is this similarity that allows selective noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitors to also increase dopamine in the prefrontal cortex, since dopamine re-uptake in the prefrontal cortex is handled almost exclusively by nor-adrenaline re-uptake pumps. However, unlike methylphenidate, selective noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitors will not block re-uptake of dopamine in the reward center of the brain, since dopamine re-uptake pumps are used outside the prefrontal cortex.
what a great video! as a psych NP, I'm grateful for this information, so detailed. I just discovered your channel, will spend a chunk of time here and on your website!
Thank yo, this was great! I will refer your channel to my clinicians! Can you also tell me if you give copies of your charts or where you found them. They are so helpful for visual learners! Thanks again!
Nice! I was waiting for this one. Very Clear. Would be interested to know if there is any good data out there on the difference in side effect profiles between Amphetamines and methylphenidate.
I'm very curious what other people's experiences with Dexedrine Spansule have been? It was horrible for me. It gave me really high anxiety, nervousness, dry mouth, tense muscles, some jittery movements, loss of appetite, and then I couldn't sleep till 6:00 a.m. of the next day. I only took it for 1 day. Now I'm waiting for my doctor's appointment to get another medication which will hopefully work for me.
Hello tanks for the job i have a question i cant take the zoloft medication because of my kidneys i feel they are burning with pain what should i do ? i have tried zoloft for 8 days starting with 25 mg dose and it worked well for my mental health ?

@@PsychoFarmYou might be right.
You did fix the sound. Everything is enjoyable for me now.

Great personality with some humor in other videos. I am using dextro-amphetamin and it feels a bit different then my original Amp/salts. Any idea why?
Thank you
Love your kind of humor

That’s not good
