what's the more updated version of this since there are no more layers? any chance a video like this exists?

What extensions are you using to slice? I'm not seeing a compatible plugin that does this in the extension warehouse.

What if you update your model, do you have to manually change all the lineworks?

Fill faces plugin will save you tons of time... not sure why you tend to skip plugins, they automate and save you time :) Though sometimes certain plugins need manual fixes

+Rombout Versluijs I do use a couple, but the purpose of the videos is to show what can be done with native Sketchup. Understanding exactly what Sketchup and Layout can do, makes selecting plug-ins for your specific needs that much easier. My biggest issue with plug-ins are the layering systems of them many generate.

This video seems to be a continuation of a previous one - how do we watch these in there proper sequence? Sorting on uploads by date doesn't seem to catch the exact order of the series.

Why do you paste into a group, when you assign the LW to a scene it doesnt see hidden objects in groups or components and thus you need to redo hide & unhide a lot. Assign it to its own layers does addup to the layering though. Im a bit lost here

+Rombout Versluijs When you paste the LW into the Level Group (controled by a single layer) you have much more control over the model and you do not need to create separate layers for each level of LW. I'm a fan of simplifying layer management as it is used often in SU. I used to do what you are referring to. I had LW layers for each individual floor. When you say "hiding", I don't do that other than control visibility via layer management.
