I can't express my personal gratitude enough for speaking about something that's so personal to me as a disabled Army veteran who has seen plenty of people go out that way. My first experience with this was my friend and trumpet teacher going out like that. He had three little girls he left behind and he was one of my first adult friends when I was still in middle school. Now the list of people I know grows bigger every single day.

Here in the United States it’s worse because of abuse of freedom left and right. It comes from the combination of social abuse and if one’s home life is at an unreasonable level of dysfunction. Education outside of the house is overwhelming and a live action Facebook for kids. Kids spend too much time in school as parents spend too much time at work not getting enough money and time to spend with their kids and to take care of themselves. And no one knows how to be as reasonable to eachother as possible. The government doesn’t care. Only better smarter people do

ever thought that maybe it was psychiatry itself that did this to him. It’s well known and highly documented even in their own literature that psychiatry and psychiatric “meds” have as side effects homicidal and suicidal ideation. it’s a complete tragedy for the victims and the police officer took the correct course of action. However psychiatry uses zero scientific evidence in their labelling of people with illnesses and treating those supposed illnesses with toxic brain changing drugs.

I'm a woman. There are a lot of videos where women are saying ALL women have been assaulted, abused, followed, feared for their lives etc, I have not experienced any of those things, the man vs bear thing? I would choose man. I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by good men, I don't go out to pubs and clubs so I avoid the bulk of drunken idiots, I also have short hair so I don't exactly look like a girl. When I walk alone at night, I'm alert and I will square my shoulders up to look bigger and stronger because nighttime can be dangerous for anyone. Having said that, I will drive my friends home at night rather than let them walk/catch public transport but I do it with both my female friends and my male friends. I'm more concerned for my female friends because after all, the blokes that do this stuff are cowards they're going to go after "easy" prey. Men are more likely to be killed by people they don't know, women are more likely to be killed by people they do know. Women are more likely to be raped or sexually assaulted, men are more likely to be murdered. I also don't feel that statistics surrounding domestic violence and crime with men as the victims are accurate because we're reliant on it being reported and men are less likely to report it. I don't know what the solution is abuse is so hard to prosecute because it needs to be proven beyond reasonable doubt and it's so easy to hide it, sentences are far too lenient and there's not enough mental health support. The whole thing is a mess and needs to change.

My husband's cousin was murdered by her ex boyfriend in California. He made threat after threat that was ignored by the authorities because he hadn't acted on the threats...until he did. It was considered "domestic violence," not murder. He was given the maximum penalty in the state of California. Twenty- five years to life in a mental hospital with the possibility for parole in 13 yrs. So, in about 5 years, a murderer will probably be walking the streets to commit another crime. I hope not, but I'm not confident. This man stalked her relentlessly until he finally made good on his threat that "if he can't have you, no one can." I think that one thing we as a society can do is to stop looking at the bad guys as the victim. That's why his sentence is so low for murder. The rational in California is that domestic violence is a crime of passion and the perpetuator cannot be punished for something they cannot control. IMO, that's absolute bulls...!

Also I had a member of my family who was married to a woman that made it look like he had struck her, and wound up in jail for a while until at his trial proved that he had been set up. I can only think of the nightmare scenario where a guy is unjustly put on the list, and is now essentially removed altogether from society. There was no-one there to monitor his state of mind. People keep saying he was a lunatic and evil and all these other things, yes he killed people and stabbed a baby, it is terribly sad and horrifying but he was not evil or a lunatic he was a very sick human being who happened to be male.

My dad taught me to be respectful to women (actually be respectful to everyone but especially women). I can cuss like a drunken sailor but if I'm around women, my language cleans up and I'm not continously doing that, it's just built in.
Many years ago, my buddy and I saw a guy smacking a woman around at a music venue. He got there ahead of me, he pulled the guy off and decked him when the guy took a swing at him. The woman he was rescuing jumped on my friend's back and started scratching, biting, and screaming at him. I gently removed her from his back (as gently as I could) and we moved away. She helped her boyfriend up and he hit her again. People are weird!

It has to work both ways, as a man thats never struck a woman including in self defence. I’ve had an avo issued against a woman (mandatory in the case of dv) after she physically assaulted me and not for the first time. There is little to no support for men experiencing dv. Misandry exists and it’s hardly ever talked about. I quote what a police officer said to me that night. “I don’t know how you managed not to hit her back tonight. If I was in your situation I’d have hit her.” I have no doubt that the lack of support for men going through dv would exacerbate the violence women experience as some men may not restrain themselves during or after a situation like that. It’s not as easy as you think to leave an abusive relationship regardless of gender. The same supports should be offered to men as well not just women.

I saw a great video on dom voil and it showed that whilst conviction rates for men were far higher the instances of dom viol were actually 50/50. Men don't report it and women don't get convicted of it. A man would be laughed at for being beaten by his wife and that is a real problem. Men get beaten by wives because men refuse to fight back and stop them, restrain women from doing viol to them.
As it happens the most dom viol in any relationships are lesbian relationships. Don't get the idea that men are violent. Women are equally so if not more so. They just get away with it whereas men don't.

A big part of who we are as adults comes from not only our young family life, but also our experiences at school. Yes, sure we grow and change after that, but the basics of how we socialise and protect ourselves emotionally doesn't change much, we just build on top of that foundation. For example, I had a loving family life, was athletic, academic and friendly. However, due to being a redhead I was bullied constantly either verbally, by exclusion or occasionally violence. I experienced this from guys, girls, acquaintances, friends, random adults and teachers. This experience has made it difficult for me to make true friends as I find it hard to trust anybody to get to know the real me. I am not a violent man and can't understand why a human would ever want to hurt another human, but I do understand how deeply social isolation can impact a person's emotional state. I don't know how to fix this, just know it sucks.

When the wonen of your Dreams leaves because, you work to much, or dont pay enough attention. Without talking to you about it and then leaving. Then something bad is going to happen. Notice one video said "gender based violence". You know why people say "gender based violence" instead of just violence? because man-woman is higher than woman-man, BUT domestic violence statistics are highest in women-women relationships, most violent crimes are man-man.
"gender disparity: in 2022-23, 87% of homicide offenders were male, while 69% of homicide victims were male" (Australia)
This is a problem for everyone, not just women, especially as men are the majority of victims of violence. The reason men do it more is because there are more violent men than there are violent women, that's just a fact. There needs to be more safety for everyone. The videos you clipped showed how little people know what really happens. There needs to be ways for everyone to protect themselves more without giving people guns etc as that makes things a lot worse.

I agree and disagree. While i agree with everything else imo i believe people should have the right AND encouraged sometimes to buy a firearm, ill use a woman for this example, say a woman were to be threatened by a much larger man, ofc she could maybe pepper spray him but what if any non-lethal couldnt work because your either trapped, or in a situation where your life is in absolute risk, then a firearm can even the playing field for a much smaller woman who is up against a much bigger or taller man, ofc this can also go both ways where a smaller man or woman can have a better advantage over a bigger man or woman. Now the part that would maybe concern you is the "gun violence", while i dont have much time to get every source i could definetly tell you that "gun violence" isnt really a thing, while it does exist and it absolutely is an issue its not all everyday that it happens like some say, using america as an example they make it seem like "GuNs ArE bAd AnD wE nEeD tO bAn ThEm", it never is actually an issue, theres been cases far more of self-defense shootings where the person saves him or herself and/or saving another person from a criminal, but you dont see that a lot in the news since most governments (particularly california and other states like that) want to disarm citizens so they highlight crime more than actual people using guns for good. So to sumarize: while gun violence is actually somewhat real it isnt as bad as its portrayed, its just that they highlight crime more than actual heroes using a gun for good rather than bad since most politics want to disarm the citizens and so they resort to doing propaganda levels of ways to try and make guns look bad and evil.

I think people really need to start thinking about the core reasons men(some) seem to hate all woman for existing after they face any type of rejection or even perceived rejection. I witnessed domestic assault as a child and experienced it as an adult. I hope we can start identifying commonalities among these men. Is it bad parenting teaching them no consequences? It is witnessing domestic assault? Is it genes? Maybe we need to give men more emotional education. I dont know the answer, and I really appreciate you choosing to tackle this subject and get a conversation going. Thank you again!

From personal observations, the reason why men do this is because we are constantly since birth being told to "not show emotions" and whatnot, and that's good to a degree but if it continues for far too long then the rage bottle will overflow and you "snap", you've probably heard that expression before and its for good reason. But why are women targeted? Because biology, women are physically weaker and therefore easier targets. Could of course be other factors but that's what i've found out throughout the years.

Mental health. I feel thats the biggest problem with men. I get so frustrated sometimes because something gets to me and i don't know how to express my feelings or even work through them constructively. All because our whole lives we're taught that as men we're not allowed to have feelings and we should bottle them up or just "get over it." I go to therapy because i want to understand myself and my feelings because i dont like being stressed out even more over being stressed out by something else that i don't comprehend. It is absolutely vital that we, as men, take mental health seriously. We're so proud to be able to figure something out and solve a problem but yet we completely ignore our feelings and when what we feel causes us to lash out and become a problem. We're human just like women whether we like it or not. Actually i would say we probably feel more or at least more deeply in some cases than women. I say that because it's so hard for us to admit our feelings that when we do we really mean it. When a guy i know or myself says that we love someone we mean it completely. That's why we give so much to our significant others. I have held more guy friends crying over break ups than i have seen women friends cry over and my guy friends sulk for weeks, sometimes months and the women i know move on immediately. So, yeah, i think a big part of it is mental health.

There is a massive mental health epidemic in the world and I believe that's one large part of the puzzle. Obviously sane people don't do horrid things. Another factor is the justice system like you said Isaac. I'm not sure about Australia, but here in the U.S. the amount of people who commit a crime and get arrested, then released on bond, or not even charged at all is astonishing. And the rate of those to reoffend is crazy, a significant portion of our crime would be cut if we just kept them off the streets. But then you get into how we do that and prisons already being overcrowded, and that becomes an entire other discussion. The fact that you can not even carry pepper spray in Australia is insane, there is always going to be someone bigger, stronger, and there are always going to be situations that put you at a disadvantage, and we need something, anything, to level the playing field in those situations.

one controversial answer is to have women collectively fix there problems. I see what happening as men lashing out now normally the violence from the frustrations is not aimed outwards at people but inwards look at the rates of self deletion in men, the main reason is male suffering is actively overlooked, downplayed, denied, and in some cases people even say its deserved In the face of that reality for some men the only answer they have left is to violently remove them self's but for a few the answer isn't violent self-removal but to remove the very thing that makes them feel as if the only answer they have left is self removal.
The environment is no longer suitable with it leaning to far into the female sphere of influences to the detriment of the male population. Theirs an old proverb that these events are bringing to mind, " The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth. "
These events are forcing people to finally start to look at instead of out right ignore the issues men are going through because demonizing men not working men have been demonized for a while and the problems are only getting worse. whats happening is a symptom, a reaction to the environment men live in.
Men don't live in a bubble and the worlds problems don't revolve around us

Because if you're a woman who pushes back against other women's nonsense you are attacked as "traitor" or "mean", verbally castrated, and ostracized. Women can be absolutely awful to other women for no reason at all; call their grift and there is hell to pay. I've dealt with it most of my life, and I am able to weather the storm and accept the isolation, but a lot of women can't, at least not individually.

Keep fathers around and help grow the family unit instead of breaking it apart. Its a lack of family and quality fathering as well as help for people with serious mental health issues. Also, people and women need to learn to deconflict rather than pushing a man until he explodes, coz a man that's been destroyed emotionally and that has nothing to lose can be problematic. Alcohol is also an issue. But good family life is where it starts. And end relationships before it becomes so toxic that it devolves into hell. People, including women, need to take responsibility and see where they can do better.

As a person that got stuck in a semi violent household watching my mother start fights all the time over jealousy and other bullshit I know it's not just men doing the violence. My real dad would walk away from this and I have never seen them fight and he would protect women if he saw them in danger. This from a man that came back from the war so screwed up that he did drugs and alcohol so bad that his parents were forced to help him. Women need to read the room when they are going to do things in that room, do not hit men, do not yell at men, and most of all don't expect a man to save you if you make a bad choose. Men need do the same thing, but realize people will expect you to refrain from your own basic instincts that will unfortunately scar you and make you hate the very people your instinctly attracted to. Incels or mgtow are created this way, they see men get fucked over all the time and though there instincts are there the trust is not. Complain about them all you like but in the end it's society that's the problem, no government will correct this issue. It's up to people stopping the divisions created by the clashing of cultures in a world where forced diversity is the norm. Religion has a part to play in this as well, due to each one trying to carve a place in society, this brings a different cultures religion that has differing views in a direct confrontation. In the end if you don't want it to happen to you then you shouldn't probably not be doing it at all, just walk away if you can and if you have to defend yourself then that should be allowed.

So.. Main reason for people being in this spot I'd say is depression in the sense that something is pressing them down, in one way or another.
It's a sense of powerlessness, health: mental, physical or otherwise without the tools to fight that.
How do we give these people tools to fight this? Depends, but
as far as both physical and mental health which reaches far beyond that, it can all be started with nutrition.
The amount of mental health disorders that is currently due to poor nutrition is astounding.
I came over debilitating depression and bipolar as well as chronic physical disorders (arthritis, hypothyroid and pre diabetes) going carnivore.
I don't have any of these anymore as long as I stay rigid with the way I eat. This has given me immense control and power over my life where I before had days I was catatonic, angry and frustrated because there was little to no help in the system we have to overcome these without putting massive amounts of side effects with drugs and what not.
If you wanna have a convo about this, I'd be up for it. Maybe we can hash some things out and find some understanding together.
Best wishes, good videos man. Been a watcher for a good couple years.

I agree that violent men need to change. How we help them is a complex solution in which I don't have viable ideas. Each person is different. Period. The choices they make will not be what we expect or anticipate. I think a good first step is getting more studies done on men's mental health. Dr. K here on UA-cam does a fantastic job in mental health education.

Yes, I've had problems with being harassed, followed & assaulted in the past, but I know how to defend myself. I've actually had MORE issues with women than men 🤷‍♀️ Some people are just mentally unstable & others are not. Regardless of gender. And I agree with you, Isaac - it takes a village. We'll never completely stop the violence, but we can certainly impact it, as both individuals & as a society 👍

Part of the problem is the politicians who do not build more jails. Over crowding means the judges are inclined to give soft sentences because they have been told there is no room for the prisoner. Also it cost so much to keep someone in jail, again shorter sentences are the answer. Bail is a joke . When the cops say no bail but the judge allows it anyway because of overcrowding. The politicians have to work to a budget and they only like to talk about law and order rather than pouring money in to it. For the younger men who know that they can keep committing crimes because the court house is a revolving door. If you are violent to a woman a spell inside would be a start to rehab.

I have not and never would lay a hand on my partner of 27+ years (or anyone for that matter, unless defending myself), but I hate the fact that I, as a man, am being made to feel guilty for the actions of others of my gender.
After 9/11, there was (rightly or wrongly) an increase of fear towards Muslims - Islamaphobia. Yet people call this out all the time, you're a piece of shit if you exhibit any Islamaphobia.
So why is society ok with acting the same towards men? Treating us all to blame for the actions of a few scumbags?
