Great video Glen! I am so happy that you made this video. I tried to go off the instructions that you gave me earlier this year, seems like my bike is going slower 😄. Thanks to this video, I will be changing my settings. 👍
@@benflake4069 Thanks for your comment!!!! Ben, make sure you use PAS 5 and you MUST pedal as well.... Throttle alone will only go 20mph..... You will be mostly ghost pedaling, however, it will get there....
Now for those who want to get to number 5 on the pedal assist for the hey bike race max use PO5 then set 0001 hold both + - to go back to home screen turn off then back on, welcome !
That’s the 3.0 as far as I know the 2.0 which is the cheaper model had a limiter on it that I have not yet found a way around which only allows you to go 20mph. This feature is only for the newer 3.0 models
Thanks for your comment...! The only one that will NOT go 28mph is the XP Lite which has no luggage rack on back. But the XP 2.0 and the XP 3.0 both with go 28mph+....
Glen, Your video was very informative but my 3.0 will not move at all with the throttle. I've got all the settings the way I want. PAS has no numbers. I do have it unlocked to get to 28 mph. Help!
Thanks for your comment...! Steve make sure you have your PAS level set to 5 and also if check P09 Level as you may have accidently changed it to 1... Should be 0 so your throttle is "Active at Standstill" But remember you actually have to "Ghost pedal" in order to achieve the 28 otherwise not really adding assist. Also make sure that P10 is set to 002.
Thanks for the video. The manual indicates setting 45 on P08 for 28mph. Apparently that applies to the XP 1.0. The XP 2.0 only has 2 settings 32 and 100. 100 sets it to 28mph.
If you have the XP Lite then it will not change at all...max speed is 20mph. But the XP 2.0 and 3.0 will change, however, if you have either one and still won't change it may be a bad controller....
Thanks for your comment Grady...! Yes in the manual it provides a breakdown of each of the settings, however, it's like changing the power level of each PAS level and such things as that which can EASILY get your bike to where it's not as fun to ride.... HAPPY RIDING!!!!
Thanks for your comment Tenochguzman!!! After you change the setting to 100, it WILL NOT do 28 with throttle only... You still have to lightly pedal in order to get the 28, its called "ghost pedaling" otherwise no effort...
Thanks for your comment Tim...! Yes, there is no special label for Class call out... All you have to do is simply print out and put on it.... Or you can go to eBay or Etsy and buy which one you want....
So let me see if I understand..after you change to 100 in order to get 28mph you have to be in PAS 5 and still have to pedal to get 28mph or can you do throttle only?
Thank you for your comment Jesus...! Yes...Must be in PAS Level 5 and gear 7, then just barely pedaling (you will be GHOST pedaling) otherwise not providing any assist....
Thanks for your comment! I am sorry to report the XP Lite is limited to 20mph and XP2.0 are the only ones can go up to 28mph... But still the XP Lite is a GREAT eBike....
You can get faster than the 20mph by changing the freewheel or sprocket gear assembly... about a 30min job and you can get on Amazon : www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XYNSHZC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 and you will need the tool to change out... www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08N6934H3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for your comment! Throttle only will take you to 20mph max, however with GHOST pedaling it will take you 28mph.... simply by just moving the pedals while throttle is engaged with these settings.... no changes for throttle only can get you to 28mph....
Have not tried that, however, might just be another good hack. But once the computer sees 20mph and no pedaling it would not go past that even though physical speed would be either faster or slower depending the changing of tire size...
Thanks for your comment.... You must utilize PAS in order to achieve 28mph.... Throttle only will always only go to 20mph. Changing the setting change the speed limiter from 20mph to 28mph.
Thanks for your comment...! Yes it should work on the XP Lite as well... Just remember, you must have on PAS 5 and pedal in order to go above the 20 after you change the settings...
Thanks for your comment!! Make sure you are "ghost pedaling" basically have it on it on Assist Level 5 and barely pedaling and you should easily get to 28mph.....
Thanks for your comment..! Craig, once you make the changes make sure you are pedaling a little called "Ghost Pedaling", otherwise really not added momentum and PAS Level 5. You should have no problem reaching the 28mph.
I haven't seen anyone mention it but when you change it to 28mph top speed it is no longer a class 2 ebike. It is now class 3 and you lose the benefits of class 2. For example, class 2 ebikes can go anywhere standard bicycles can go. Class 3 ebikes are typically constrained to street use only. I say typically because the laws vary from state to state and there may be exceptions but generally speaking, a class 3 ebike is not allowed where bicycles are. Also, by law your ebike has to have a sticker showing the class it belongs to. Lectric says there is a class 3 sticker underneath the class 2 sticker when you peel it off. I haven't changed my bikes to a class 3 so I haven't done this so I can't verify the sticker is there. You can also buy ebike class stickers online.
Thanks for your comment...! You are correct and that's the reason no one usually don't remove the Class 2 sticker, therefore no one is the wiser that's on the trails.... I have VERIFIED there is a Class 3 sticker under the Class 2, however, I put my Class 2 back on...lol ENJOY and have fun with the BEST eBike for the money....!!!!
Thanks for your comment...! You will not achieve 28 on throttle alone, you must pedal even if it's what's called "ghost pedaling" meaning not providing any assist.... just barely moving the pedals around will do the trick.... Happy trails!!!!
Thanks for your comment...! Changing the P08 Setting to 100 does not effect throttle. Please check to ensure you haven't accidently changed P09 or P10. Follow the video for default levels on P09 and P10.
If you change your settings : P08 to 100 and using your PAS level at 5 you will get to 28mph with no problem. On throttle only it will not happen... But when I am on the road I have no problem maintaining 28mph on level areas.... Thanks for your comment!!!
