Thanks for the video. I had a squishy trigger and did the same thing except i used sand paper to sand the area where the trigger and backplate were rubbing. Completely fixed the issue.
Did you turn on Battery Storage Mode like when we replace ssd or is it unnecesary when u only mess with backplate Planning to do the same i have deck for almost the year asked valve it they could send backplate itself that wont grind the trigger but they only offer rma so im going to do it myself when i get my ifixit tools back
@@cmptar took me 20 mins and I improved not only the left but the right. But I build houses and cars from the ground up every day for 25 years. So hard to say if I’d recommend someone to do it. I’ll say replacing the SSD was not as simple as people say it is.

Same here. Thanks for the tip with using the sand paper!
The best things can I read!
@@Xploder270 You're welcome!
It hurt me seeing the Micro SD Card in the tray at the beginning of the tear down intro... RIP SD Card

I put some wd-40 with cotton swab where the trigger meets the plastic its stopped the noise
It’s wild how common this still is. Just got mine yesterday and I can’t press the left trigger past 85% without nearly breaking it.
Yep, got mine yesterday and left trigger is still sticky. Valve offered an RMA. Debating whether to DIY or send it in.

What do I do if the springs are loose and won't stay
Dont to like him, take your sd card out before disassembly
This is not a video teaching how to disassemble the Steam Deck, but you are right, and it's a good advice.
@ i made some orthographical mistakes, but thanks. I did some disassemble because of trigger, without polishing and else, just some moves with fingers
So is the trigger mold ot the back plate mold the problem?
The Back Plate mold, sorry if I wasn't clear.
Niice I'll do the same when I get my ssd
Hope it will work for you =D
Hi, can you please tell me where to do this? I've disassembled my deck, but I can't figure out where it touches. (The video is not clear )
does this void warranty?
probably
open ticket and ask valve themselfs
p̷r̷o̷m̷o̷s̷m̷ 😔
It's a little bullshit we even have to worry about this.
