That tower guy is a great dude, knew it was bridgeport from his voice, i fly there a lot and hes always there, good dude straight forward instructions professional and never gives u attitude
Look at the fellow in one of the comments of this video (who claims to be a pilot) for attitude that I would say seems definitely hazardous... I wish they could all have their one little island where they fly into each other and act in all sorts of horrible ways without impacting others.
ATCers can overstep their boundaries sometimes... this is NOT one of those times. Dude was absolutely right to tell this dude to f**k off and get out of his airspace before he kills someone. Literally told this guy 5 times that's he's messing up
The ol poop & swoop maneuver. Come in, make a mess of everything, then get out of town. He nailed that instruction to depart to the SE though. I’m not sure I buy the argument he was intoxicated (could be, but that’s one hell of an accusation). I think he just legitimately got disoriented, couldn’t differentiate between 29 and 24 and totally flunked it. His petulance just reflects his certainty that the tower is wrong and he is right (rarely a hill you want to die on, but not so rarely that you should just roll over when tower says something that just ain’t so). The rest of it felt like politeness to get the shit out of there without catching a phone number. Obviously a pathetic display, but perhaps not a criminal act.
Losing situational awareness like that with today's means is inexcusable. He should have given the dude a number to call (something like 1-800-DONT-FLY)
wow, I truly wish he would be invested for this by the FAA and a report written about it. I genuinely want to know WTF he was thinking and how it's possible to be so inept with such basic fundamental airmanship. truly blows my world and I want to understand. makes 0 sense. and he's completely unaware of it the entire time wtf. how is that even possible to be so wrong as well as ignorant, arrogant, petulant, snarky, rude, etc etc when HES WRONG and it's all being spoon fed to him and laid out to him!
@@willer3399 Yes, that is not a call that I learned in getting my PPSEL. I learned roger, affirmative, unable, and many others, but not "sounds good". What the heck does the controller handbook say about that response?
My son’s flight school the downwind follows an interstate but it’s just a few degrees off a true parallel to the runway but that’s just the way all the instructors teach it at this airport. The cross runway tge controllers won’t let small aircraft land on they reserve it for business jets only because that’s who that airports caters too.
I mean... the most difficult part is coming in to the airspace and getting oriented... after a touch and go, simply just needing to make right traffic was difficult?
2nd time I've heard a controller threaten or actually kick someone out of their airspace. So serious question, what happens next? He goes & bugs someone else, or finds an uncontrolled field? I mean, he has to land somewhere...
Is it possible to have 129HF traced to destination and have someone meet him upon exiting the aircraft? I know people are busy in ATC but this guy was either under the influence or having a diabetic incident/medical situation. In any event, it would be in everyone's best interest to get him checked out.
I bet he was trying to show off for a passenger and tried to minimize his deviations with ATC. Kudos to the controller for keeping his cool. That would have been frustrating.
The HF pilot does indeed sound like someone with impaired cognitive function. Might not be drunk specifically, but he doesn't sound like someone who is fit to fly in that condition.
This is my home airport. Runway 24 and 29 intersect at their thresholds which can cause confusion because pilots are looking at the same spot on the airport for both runways. You really have to look out the window AND keep an eye on your heading to fly the reciprocal heading to ensure you're on the correct downwind. From his radar track, you can almost see his "thought process" as he is 100% visual and getting confused.
That's clearly what the ATC thought too so he explicitly told him he had accidentally switched to the 24 pattern and should return to the 29 pattern. That should have been enough for the pilot to recheck the runways layout and return to the correct path. But he just kept on his wrong pattern and tried to land on the wrong runway. You can almost hear the final thought of the ATC on this guy. Gets ready to give him new directions to set him back into the path, then silence while he's reviewing the full sequence of events since the touch and go. And reaching the best conclusion: I'm not giving this guy yet another heading he won't get right. Just keep him straight on his current path away from everyone else.
Incompetent pilot not suitable to hold a licence. Total disregard for safety, airfield procedures and standards of radio calls. Should have been reported and licence revoked.
Controllers phraseology sucks. Giving control instructions without a callsign along with, “cleared Touch and Go runway 29.” Yeah that pilot was disorientated but this guy needs to be better too.
That guy sounds identical to another audio clip of a pilot that wanted to cut through a corner of airspace to fly down the coast and flew right into the traffic pattern. Very arrogant and stupid.
"No, guy with the radar screen giving him full awareness of everything that's happening in the sky, I'm lined up for the runway you're clearly *not* seeing me lined up for with your own eyes! So you're wrong!"
Pilot sounded like he was experiencing some lingering effects of marijuana intoxication. Probably had his medicinal cannabis card pinned on his backward baseball cap.
Judging by the pilot’s attitude, I assume he is used to getting in trouble with ATC.
"Sounds good" 😂
And don’t come back 😮
“You can leave my airspace…..” 🤣 I’m going to use that.
Sounds good
I hope the pilot watches this video and realizes he was wrong
He really just seems inebriated, poor situational awareness and slow speech, and he made no contest to leaving.
I wonder where he went?
According to flight aware, he continued on his flight to Portugal.
So, the controller was setting up a departure as an arrival?
@@rajamanda8632 How did you come to that conclusion?

your channel name is gay as fuck

prolly on weed
@@johndonovan7018 Yeah sounds high not drunk.
The HF pilot sounds intoxicated. Maybe he flew SE until he ran out of fuel, then went for swim with the sharks.
Dude sounded drunk to me.
So chill having no clue what you’re doing
The more of these I watch, the more I understand how Blancolirio keeps such a busy channel with reporting on crashes.
That dude is like 3 or 4 of the "hazardous attitudes" rolled into one just based on his tone of voice.
Look at the fellow in one of the comments of this video (who claims to be a pilot) for attitude that I would say seems definitely hazardous... I wish they could all have their one little island where they fly into each other and act in all sorts of horrible ways without impacting others.
Controller invited him to leave in no uncertain terms. My man.
Some say he's still flying over the ocean away from Bridgeport.
Maybe he wanted 29 at Heathrow and he is headed there. He's flying in the correct general direction.
Sound's good

A pilot automatically assuming the tower is wrong and he is right is a recipe for causing really bad things to happen.
129HF sounded like he was druuuuunk!!!
N129HF proceed to f-ck off bearing 165.
yep
ATC did a great job.

"You can go ahead and exit my airspace...... man." 🤣
Someone with that attitude should not be flying.
And incompetence
Someone with that altitude should not be flying

Absolutely NO reason for that attitude in the cockpit. Hope he has his license revoked
that pilot has a serious case of poor airmanship
terrible
And N129 was never heard from again, he just kept flying southeat...
and that’s what heading bugs are for
129HF is having mind issues. Maybe Spock could do a mind meld. But then again he needs something to work with
GTF outa my airspace!
Cheech or Chong taking flying lessons??
Definitely something wrong with 129HF
"Lost" pilot? More like "incompetent" pilot.
Sounds drunk
Be a fun fella to fly with....NOT. Looks like a rental from the lookup

Rumor says, N129HF is still flying south east....lol
Rumor has it he landed somewhere in Iran and hasn't been heard from since.

2nd time I've heard a controller threaten or actually kick someone out of their airspace. So serious question, what happens next? He goes & bugs someone else, or finds an uncontrolled field? I mean, he has to land somewhere...
Simple: he keeps increasing altitude until he can land on an uncontrolled runway on proxima B.
Harrison Ford is everywhere!
That pilot drunk. Wonder where he ventured off too.
Love it. Get out of my airspace.
What happened afterward though? He does have to eventually land somewhere.
As an old person, I was wondering if his name was Tyler Fitzgerald. Movie reference.

That pilot sounded and looked drunk from the direction of his plane, away from the airport. I didn't get why the pilot did that.
129HF sounded impaired...
I'm curious... Why do they do so many touch and go? Is it training to landing?
Exactly. Approaching and landing is the trickiest part of piloting and you need to get it right every single time.
