I still waiting Dewalt make some organizer that can clip with a Tstak System... It's just crazy buy a tstak organizer with only 9 boxes or whatever, when I need a slim system for my bolts, connectors etc. I already have a drill box with tstak, the multitool box with tstak... but I can't find organizer stackable with the same system, milwaukee do it. The Tstak system is really smart, with the resealable trolley I can assembly my stuff in a few second and store in the van in a split of second.
Stanley was the first company to have these type of storage boxes. I bought four last century, so a minimum of 20 years ago, could be up to 30. I got them for the various screws I use on site, and I'm still using them. And not one of the internal compartment inserts have broken, unlike one of your Dewalt inserts. Dewalt copied the Stanley boxes. Edit: I should add. Before Stanley came out with these all plastic boxes with the clear tops. Electronics companies were using metal versions, with small plastic inserts, and they had foam stuck to the inside of the metal lid, to stop components spilling out, and those boxes have been around easily for 40 to 50 years.
One is called TSTAk and is marketed both as dewalt and stanley fatmax. The other one is another series. I am looking at buying tstak boxes right now but I dont think i will get the one you are showing here but rather use the other one for small item storage and the TSTAK as a mobile tool cabinet. Tstak organizer seems a little bit like an aftethought. The one with a drawer and sorting trays seems OK though.
Fun fact: if you or your kid plays a tcg(pokemon, yugioh, magic etc) the stanley box is literally perfect for cards. Each component is the perfect size to hold a deck box or 100 sleeved cards
Erm, you might wanna look into the product line a little more. In the UK it is only sold as Stanley Fatmax but there are 3 variations of each size. The cheapest doesn't have the rubber gasket and has plastic latches. The second has the gasket and the third has gasket and metal latches. I use all of them daily. If you can't find it branded as Dewalt in the US then check for fatmax as the boxes definitely exist with IP ratings.
No biggy but the bins do not slide or roll around as stated when few bins are removed because the lid has little detents that seat down into the top of the bins.
I have a lot of Stanley. The inability to open the lower organizer coupled together spoils the whole thing. I ordered a pair of Milwaukee Packout low-profile organizers. And I'm gonna 3d-print custom bins for them.
My brother you are right about things here but I have the same DeWalt organizer and mine has the gasket but you know the thing that blows my mind his I'm working with the tstak system aka the Craftsman versastack but the DeWalt organizer you have in the video won't click on to the stack the latches are very similar on the side of the box but they won't hook up to the DeWalt tstak or the Craftsman versastack which is kind of annoying because all my tools are in those types those pack out boxes now they do make other organizers that will click on to the tstak/ versastack but I just feel like those DeWalt organizers should also be able to click on anyway good video I know it was four years ago when you made it LOL but I'm actually just reorganizing all my stuff right now and seen a few your videos before and thought it was weird that you didn't get a DeWalt old school box that had a rubber gasket anyway good luck to you I know you and your brother are doing pretty good the real nice like guy he's a trip! Also hey I'm a Philly boy down here in the Florida swamps now but yeah look it up what I was telling you about that organizer in the video by DeWalt why doesn't it hook up to the tstak
Can’t believe they are so cheap in the US , the dewalt is approximately $35 in the UK, although they are opposite the dewalt is badged as the Stanley in the UK and Stanley is badged as dewalt.
Enjoyed it Vince, I have had the old Stanley boxes for years and they are terrific. I wish they had the "clip together" system like the new ones. When I stack them up in my truck some times they would fall over on a big curve, lol Have not really needed the water proof part but I do like it. Keep up the good work brother!!!!!
Edit: There are two versions of the fat max, the xl (which is slightLy different than the dewalt) and one that is the exact same as the dewalt. The one that is the exact same as the dewalt, definitely has the gasket. My boss has a number of them in both deep and shallow versions and they are cheaper than the dewalt are.
Hmmm..... I wonder how waterproof that box is if you drove through a car wash with it in the back of the truck? Or let's just say your teenage son is pressure washing his car and suddenly becomes distracted by something and sweeps over the organizer box. Will it take the abuse?
January 2020. Dewalt listened to you, Vince. Just picked up a couple of these boxes and they have the yellow gaskets. Awesome. Keep it up, brother.
I was watching adam savage videos on the sooletimo system and this cam up as a recommended video. thanks for the reviews guys.
John and the SOE crew are awesome, thanks for leaving a comment, we appreciate it!

Craftsman will work with tstack and 2 drawer was 18.00 over Christmas

Do you think the Stanley would fit craftsman versastack?

And the larger compartments perfectly holds 2 boxes side by side
is there any option to connect tstak (deWalt or Stanley) to fatmax organisers?
I wonder if the stanley fatmax tstak system is compatible with the dewalt tstack and craftsman versa stack system.. I like the stanley tstack tool bag
Be interesting to compare Stanley Fatmax new range of tools with Dewalt how good are they ?
Do either of those multi tray storage cases lock onto the tStack tool cases (like the T-Stak deep roller case, or the T-Stak 2/3/4 cases)?
I agree think they should have the rubber gaskets. Thanks for the videos need some for my assortment of nails and one for my assortment of screws
The interior doesn't shuffle if you close the lid because there are indentations in the lid that keep the boxes in place.
does it mate with the craftsman organizer
Why they do not sell Stanley fatmax XL in Europe??
I got the smaller one! I use it for art's and crafts😊
Do these connect to TSAK or VersaStack?
Sad to know they don't latch together. Otherwise the stanley would be a good add on to the Tstak trolley system.
I really like this style of box it’s funny that the dewalt box is available now but with the Stanley stickers but still without the gasket on the lid

will the dewalt tough system radio fit a stanley organizer? probably too narrow
I thought the ridges on the clear top and the ridges in the bottom of the storage unit holds them in place even if you remove some trays !
They should, and usually do 👍
Is milwuakee packout 10 small part organiser better??
Nice review as always. I need to look into the Stanley boxes and add them to my Stanley collection.
Thanks tools in hand!!

Yooo that sounds sweet, you gotta post some pics and tag us in them!!
I like the extra storage of the Stanley boxes I don't think you can go wrong with eather one but in the past my experience the more storage the better
I own dozens of the DeWalt but the Stanley is very nice!
VCG Construction is he reely????? See what I did there????
FISH TORNADO!!!!!!!!

Is it compatible with DeWalt T Stak?
same question
Nice review! Was hoping those would be compatible with each other!
Kenny Riggins hahahahaha. That would be convenient and practical. Something the big tool companies know NOTHING about.
renaissanceman haha you’re right! They keep getting my hopes up though!
How much is the Stanley?
20 dollars i believe it was
That’s pretty good
Just got this for under $10.00 on Black Friday at Home Depot = score

Thank you chipshot!!
Can you throw a 30lb cement block directly on top of it this time ? lol
Great idea! So you think we should torture test it Dill?
Yup lets bash those bad boy boxes !!
yo cuz! which one do you like better? i have a milwaukee organizer...im going to the deeps this weekend to make a decision...stanley or dewalt...??
I’d get the Stanley, but they have them at Lowe’s!!
discontinued can only find them at a super high price and if you're going to spend that much, may as well go with the red team
The new ones have the ip56 rated gasket
Need to buy like this. ☺
I am every like your video, and tell me how much and when to buy it. would you tell me the tool storage box model number in the dewailt website?
Yes you should test it’s a shame that it is not compatible with the Dewalt boxes. Very good video boys 10 out of 10 thanks for some good entertainment
Thanks Steve! We were really hoping they would be compatible
That stanley box looks like is can latch on a tsatk. Can it ?? Does any one know dat
tried it the other day on a livestream at lowes, it does not!
VCG Construction cool tanks i will chek that one out
You covered it all 110% great vid 👌👍💪

Maybe VCG had some peeps thinking at Dewalt to finally add that mysterious missing rubber seal lol. BAM !
Yes maybe dewalt heard us!!
Hope they send you some free gear soon then lol
The rubber gasket has been there from day 1 if you buy the better box in the range.
Great vid!
Thank you Liverpool!!!
Great video!!! Glad it didn’t break... torture test it!
MJC I like the way you think 😊
Maybe Cici will tell us a gasket joke while waiting for the new live stream to restart. 😂😂😂
That would be awesome!!
we use the milwaukee version to hold my daughter's lego pieces
Yes the Milwaukee version is nice. Maybe too nice for legos though
in real its stanley vs stanley :)
Good reviews but please put a mat on top of that table, the slamming of of boxes every 30 seconds was so irritating
I just boaught a sorter box to sort my lego😂😂
Why yes it is Vincent. As REN man would say. It’s a GAME CHANGER
DAVID BUKER YO BRO!!!!! Call me Reed Whacker. NAME CHANGER!!!!! U da MAN!!!!
"Somewhat modular, high quality small porparts small tor organizer" -Dewalt
Hmmm..... I wonder how waterproof that box is if you drove through a car wash with it in the back of the truck? Or let's just say your teenage son is pressure washing his car and suddenly becomes distracted by something and sweeps over the organizer box. Will it take the abuse?
Good question Myles!!
Broken one
Stanley wins both ways since they make all the Dewalt products
Great video Vince! Now I'm going to have to run out and pick up a few of those Stanley boxes brother! 😁
Heck yea Greg!
Looks nice but in gonna keep my Milwaukee packout!
Definitely not as modular or rugged as Packout!
A............ARON!!!!!!
kinda stupid for having the same parent company they didnt think ahead and make them compatible.
10,15 and 20 dolar???? In Brazil $80 dolars!!!!
