Yes. I started taking it a year a go and my mind and memory is so much better. Stress is 0 and sleep like a baby. I can memorize things like music so much faster. I'm going to be 76 this year and learning the keyboard has gotten so much easier. It used to take me a month or more to be able to play a song correctly and now it takes me a couple of hrs. My mind is much sharper and memory is WOW!!!. I'm in heaven health wise now. I also take K2 and D. Also take a prebiotic, align. The only problem is that threonate is expensive. Suppose to take 3 capsules for 143mg and the dayle amount should be 3something to 4something for males. I only take 2 capsules every day. Me and my wife both take it dayle because of cost. I buy the 90 capsule bottle. So if we take at least 3 capsules each to get 143mg, I would have to buy a bottle of L-threonate every 15 days which is cost prohibited. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance Dr.
My doctor told me to take magnesium but never told me which one to take so i brought the Glycinate 240 mg says take 2 capsules daily been taking it about a couple of days but i am having headaches and nerves and it does not make me sleepy should i take 1 early through the day and one later is 240 mg to high of a dose for me i am 80 year old female with Fibromyalgia and have panic attacks i am also on a low dose of xanax i was taking the extra strength dietary supplement of magnesium taking one a day of 400 mg i stop taking that i am going to talk to my doctor but just want to know what do you think hope to hear from you soon
For me, L-threonate has brought relief from a neurological problem that I've had for 12+ years. I've consulted more than 17 health practitioners, both mainstream and alternative, and tried every possible cure I could find, but nothing has worked until now. Since the first dose of L-threonate , I have had no brain episodes. I am SO thankful!!
I was diagnosed with a neurological condition also (Cervical Dystonia). It was made worse by anxiety. I was put on medications by a Doctor. Nothing helped, in fact made things worse due to side affects. So I started doing my own research to target anxiety. I found out through experience that magnesium threonate actually helped my anxiety which in turn calmed the dystonia. Magnesium Glycinate work well too. Mixed with the supplement Ashwaghanda works even better. People have made comments and have noticed the difference. And don’t forget to…..Thank you Jesus.
It is also important to have the correct amount of potassium in conjunction with the magnesium. Also, it’s helpful to add zinc for better absorption. Every few weeks I take a few days off of all of my supplements.
Info please. What brand? What dose and how often per day? What time of day did you take the vitamin? How long did it take before the brain fog or short term memory was better? Thank you
I got my mom's memory back from Dementia when the Doctor said it will turn worse. Trace Minerals Liquid Magnesium combined with liquid B12, MCT oil, liquid vitamin D3 K2MK7 and Methylated B12 works wonders
@@mamabear5478Trace Mineral liquid Magnesium L-Threonate, combine with liquid vitamin D3 K2MK7, with MCT oil, Omega 3 liquid and Methylated B12. Work wonders for Dementia
I have been taking 1800 mg magnesium L-threonate nightly for the past five weeks. In the morning on alternate days, I’ve been taking 250 mg magnesium citrate to maintain my magnesium levels to supplement magnesium in foods I eat following the Mediterranean diet. Recently, I have noticed an improvement in sleep quality and staying asleep during the night.
@@MindlessTube I treat my magnesium supplements as “supplemental” to my diet. The L-threonate I take nightly provides only 51% of the RDA for magnesium. I use it for brain nutrition while I sleep. The magnesium citrate I take every other day provides 60% of the RDA. The magnesium you ingest daily is absorbed, utilized, and released relatively quickly throughout 12 to 24 hours. I chose magnesium citrate for its low cost and bioavailability. L-threonate is more expensive.
I take magnesium glyconate and magnesium l-threonate before bed. It definitely helps me get to sleep. It is helping me ween of my Xanax that I have been taking for 20+ years.
Before bed, does that mean that you eat before you go to bed? Because magnesium is a fat soluble mineral and should be taken with or right after a meal. So is K2 and D.
I am trying magnesium to help with anxiety and sleep. I am now on Mirtazapine at night for sleep, anxiety and depression and it has been wonderful. It helped me get rid of my Xanax dependence. Haven't had a X in months and I don't want it anymore. Good luck to you!
I just started taking the magnesium glycinate couple days ago my doctor told me to take it but did not tell me what kind to take and vitamin B 12 also i take D3 i also take a low dose of xanax
I take a series of magnesium supplements each day: L-Threonate 90mg in the morning, Citrate 130mg at lunch, Taurate 200mg at dinner, and Glycinate 200mg before bed. This regimen has completely eliminated the neuropathy in my feet after 2 months; my sleep and digestive function are better. I am 77, male, and eat a very low-carbohydrate diet with no sugar. My weight is 180, and I have no chronic disease conditions and take no prescription drugs. I have been very lucky!
I've been taking L Threonate 2000MG for a week now and this is what I noticed no more afternoon slump more energy I can work for Hrs on my computer without feeling my eyes tired I'm more alert when driving my car. So far this is my favorite MG I'm gonna keep buying it!!!!!
Even though you are on the North American continent, you, my dear doctor, saved me from years of pain, thanks to your observations and precise explanation of many foot problems and vitamins and minerals. Thank you very much.
I take Magnesium L-Threonate, Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Taurate. I like the Glycinate version because I also take NAC. It has a portion of the Gly-NAC protocol. I also like the Taurate version because taurine has studies that show it may help with longevity. I take 3g of taurine daily. I take 1g of Glycine per 10kg of bodyweight. I also take 1g of NAC per kg of bodyweight. For me the three forms of magnesium, glycine, NAC and taurine are foundation of my longevity stack. I get most of my glycine from collagen and gelatin but I do like getting some in the magnesium glycinate which I take at night also.
I want to be very clear that I don't have any deal nor own my own brand. In fact this is what motivates me to make these videos I don't really care if someone ends up buying it or not. I want to know for myself and my patients to get better results.
Hey mate. You should look up taking caffeine with magnesium. I think it's not recommended as caffeine is a diuretic and with you urinating more, you can actually end up being more magnesium deficient than when you started. Take your magnesium an hour before your coffee is the answer, apparently. I just read this yesterday. You might find even more benifits if you do this, but obviously do your own research
My doctor recommended glycinate I noticed huge improvements in the past year in sleep quality, stress levels, clarity in thinking etc. I tried the L threonate version for the first time and I slept in a whole half hour later lol. It lowered my blood pressure more
@danielagentile8049 I bought the one from life extension, but I have run out and am considering repurchasing it. I take the magnesium glycinate, it helps me sleep and calm as well. But the l threonate felt stronger with a lower dose
@@DrTomBiernacki I take LThreonate, NA R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, Benfotiamine vitamin B, vitamin E, Lumbrokinase, Iodine - all for neurological purposes, so it’s hard to decipher which one does what. It takes about 1-2 yrs of this to feel healing but it’s been a big improvement. I’ve been insulin dependent for over 50 yrs, last week A1c was 5.6. and have no complications (yet).
@@AdamFlint-1 Have you tried Mega dose Vit-D - not sure after 50 years what Beta cells could regenerate but D will likely stop the autoimmune attack.. My sister in law was a Latent type 1 as was my husband- their brother at 13. Both my husband and brother in law were deceased before I learned of that low D is responsible for almost all Autoimmunity. My Sister in law's went into remission with Mega doses of Vit D and has stayed in remission now for months after 10 years or taking insulin. Do you take D at the 30k-50 level?
Taking Mag L threonate help with my brain fog, memory problems depression and for some reason, it made me regular too. I used it for a over a month now and decided to continue taking it.
Yes I take magnesium threonate one night before bed then the next day I take magnesium glycinate before bed. Usually the recommended dose for each. They work wonders on me. I believe it's the perfect combination because 1 night I get the benefits of threonate then the next night with magnesium glycinate which is a higher dose of elemental magnesium helps the other cells in the body.
If you have hypnic jerks in particular at bed time, magnesium is a good solution. I had terrible hypnic jerks until I discovred magnesium... I take ~250mg 3/day with meals. I feel more relaxed all day long to. The cheaper one worked as well as the glycinate one...
Thank You🏵🌼☀️🌟✨️🌌Ive took Mg citrate for long, but began Mg Glycinate recently because headaches and stiff neck/head(muscles). Seems to help relaxing nerves/muscles/etc that caused tension all over from head to arms.
Liquid Magnesium L-Threonate works wonders for Dementia when combined with vitamin liquud D3 K2MK7, Methylated B12, MCT oil and Omega 3 ( Triglyceride form )
500mg Magnesium aspartate got rid of insomnia, brain fog and fatigue in 20 days. And has helped reduce my anxiety. I haven't seen any improvements for memory.
I've been using Magnesium for a couple of decades...its one of the few things that helped with restless legs syndrome. Back then I don't think we had that many mag options. I think oxide early on than to citrate. The last couple of years I moved to glycinate but I take glycine seperatelly for something else so not sure I need anymore glycine. The glycine does make me sleepy. May add threonate in the morning stack.
I took Magnesium Glycinate the first day i felt awesome the next days after that I felt like crap 💩. Nauseas, Chest pain, Irritated, weird headaches, my anxiety felt worse. The only thing it did is helped me sleep
I have been using magnesium bisglycinate and it does help me stay calm. Govt specifies to limit magnesium supp to 350 mg daily elemental but I have taken as much as 500 mg and been fine. There's alot if info about it in The Magnesium Cure. It seems many people are unware they are deficient and older individuals tend to absorb less through food.
I have been using citrate and lthreonate for a yr now, has helped with bowel movements, I originally started taking them for bowels, lower leg muscle twitching, and sleep, has not helped in those areas I've ordered some glycinate and going to try it, not sure if that's too much magnesium, we will see
Very interesting! The worry is commercial bias. It's the only magnesium form that has a company and patent associated with. Magtein®. Does anyone know if the studies were all funded by the patent holding company or there were third party studies confirming the results?
Be very careful deciding which supplement brand you buy. Most supplement companies are money grabs as the market is not FDA regulated. Also, never buy supplements from an online retailer like Amazon. The majority of their supplement sellers are selling😢 counterfeit brand name products. They also don’t store supplements in controlled environments which leads to a host of issues- primarily loss of bioavailability. Go to your local GNC and buy quality supplements from quality brands like Thorne.
I was taking magnesium glucinate and my low back on left side started hurting. Had blood work all looked good...even kidneys...but I read magnesium is bad for kidneys...so maybe it this. I got off magnesium pain is gone.
I found mivela water to be the best way to absorb magnesium, but it has become hard to source now. Compared to chelate it is much better, so now I have ordered some colloid magnesium. Will colloid magnesium penetrate the blood brain barrier ?
Hmmm, wonder why the study used the worst absorbing magnesium of them all. Why wouldn't they use magnesium glycinate? Magnesium chloride is at 4% and magnesium glycinate is up to 80%. More importantly, why are you using this study? Am I wrong?
Ask your general practitioner doctor. They’ll most likely have a better answer for you than one from a random UA-cam commenter or a foot doctor/youtuber. No disrespect to anyone- including the foot doc! Just my humble opinion.
I wonder if magnesium threeone can increase walking speed Over the years my walking speed has gone down hill. I also read b vitamins can help brain function
There are two ways to list the amount of magnesium. He has a slide towards the end that shows 1000mg of magnesium threonate equals 144 mg of magnesium. Your 3 pills equaling 150mg of magnesium is essentially the 1000mg dose. So you would take between 3 and 6 pills a day depending on your weight, etc. I hope that helps. It is confusing when different manufacturers describe the contents differently. Edited to add that my bottle “Life Extension” brand says that 2000 mg = 144 mg of magnesium.
@@jeddolsen5938 $25.00 sounds reasonable but I'm on CPP and OAS and that chisler Trudeau dropped my OAS by $20.00 a month just because my CPP went up a bit. He's dirty and he's rotten much like that Harris thing.
I'm not so sure. It may work in mice, but not in humans. E.g. scientist Rhonda Patrick says the human trials of magnesium L-threonate are not convincing.
I bought a pill says elemental magnesium 48mg, from magtein magnesium L threonate 667mg, L-theanine 80mg, and GABA 75mg.... what does this all mean what should I be looking for? this is very confusing and needs more videos on.
So are you continuing to take Magnesium glycenate while you're also taking magnesium L Threonate? I currentlly take magnesium taurate and wondering if I should stop while I try L Threonate.
What is your favorite type of magnesium and has it helped you?

Work wonders for Dementia
I have been taking 1800 mg magnesium L-threonate nightly for the past five weeks. In the morning on alternate days, I’ve been taking 250 mg magnesium citrate to maintain my magnesium levels to supplement magnesium in foods I eat following the Mediterranean diet.
Recently, I have noticed an improvement in sleep quality and staying asleep during the night.
So L threonate magnesium does not count toward our regular magnesium for diet?
@@MindlessTube I treat my magnesium supplements as “supplemental” to my diet. The L-threonate I take nightly provides only 51% of the RDA for magnesium. I use it for brain nutrition while I sleep. The magnesium citrate I take every other day provides 60% of the RDA. The magnesium you ingest daily is absorbed, utilized, and released relatively quickly throughout 12 to 24 hours. I chose magnesium citrate for its low cost and bioavailability. L-threonate is more expensive.
1800 mg? How can you afford it?
@@OTatime, thank you for sharing, but is not that too much to consume 1800 mg a day?
@@АлександрМаряшин-ж8у 1800 mg providing 216 mg of elemental magnesium L-threonate. The video recommends 1000-2000 mg providing 144-288 mg of elemental magnesium L-threonate.
It makes my pee smell so bad. It also comes out in my sweat. Makes me smell bad 😢
@@juanalvarez7101 I was under the impression that magtein is water soluble that is found in magnesium l-threonate.
I like how you show different brands instead of just shilling one.
I want to be very clear that I don't have any deal nor own my own brand. In fact this is what motivates me to make these videos I don't really care if someone ends up buying it or not. I want to know for myself and my patients to get better results.
Some brands are more invested than others.

I Take 2 pill of magnesium L theo with black coffee b12 and d3 with k2 omega 3 in the morning my focus is awesome and with lots of energy
It lowered my blood pressure more
I’d like to try l threonate to help with feeling calm. Do you still use it? Which brand do you use? 🙏🏼
@danielagentile8049 I bought the one from life extension, but I have run out and am considering repurchasing it. I take the magnesium glycinate, it helps me sleep and calm as well. But the l threonate felt stronger with a lower dose
Been type 1 diabetic all my life since 1973. L threonate helps with peripheral neuropathy and mood.
Wow amazing do you take it personally? What kind of results have you been getting?
@@DrTomBiernacki I take LThreonate, NA R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, Benfotiamine vitamin B, vitamin E, Lumbrokinase, Iodine - all for neurological purposes, so it’s hard to decipher which one does what. It takes about 1-2 yrs of this to feel healing but it’s been a big improvement. I’ve been insulin dependent for over 50 yrs, last week A1c was 5.6. and have no complications (yet).

I also have Hashimoto for 35 years and 30 days of 50k Vit D stopped it completely- no antibodies- need no meds now.
AMAZING DOCTOR!

The cheaper one worked as well as the glycinate one...
thank you for this video very informative
thank u for great info and advice. good channel.
What is magnesium l threonate? How many magnesiums are there. What are the diffences? Are there differences? How does one know which they need?
Excellent video, Doc. My question is, who is funding these Mg-L-T studies? Are supplement studies funded independently at all?
I would bet almost none of them are independent 😁
Thank You🏵🌼☀️🌟✨️🌌Ive took Mg citrate for long, but began Mg Glycinate recently because headaches and stiff neck/head(muscles). Seems to help relaxing nerves/muscles/etc that caused tension all over from head to arms.

I heard people mention that there are big time withdrawal side effects when stopping Mag Threonate. Has anyone experienced this??
Good question.
MIT invented this and did the testing when they patented this compound, been taking this for years.
I love l threonate!

I think a lot of people are losing faith in government recommendations the last few years... Its always important to do your own research.

I have been using citrate and lthreonate for a yr now, has helped with bowel movements, I originally started taking them for bowels, lower leg muscle twitching, and sleep, has not helped in those areas I've ordered some glycinate and going to try it, not sure if that's too much magnesium, we will see
If you try dr Berg's you will never ever be disappointed
Very interesting!
The worry is commercial bias. It's the only magnesium form that has a company and patent associated with. Magtein®.
Does anyone know if the studies were all funded by the patent holding company or there were third party studies confirming the results?
I'm sure a lot were sponsored by them no doubt 😁
Be very careful deciding which supplement brand you buy. Most supplement companies are money grabs as the market is not FDA regulated. Also, never buy supplements from an online retailer like Amazon. The majority of their supplement sellers are selling😢 counterfeit brand name products. They also don’t store supplements in controlled environments which leads to a host of issues- primarily loss of bioavailability. Go to your local GNC and buy quality supplements from quality brands like Thorne.
Life Extension is a good brand too.

I bought some L-threonate but it says to take 1-3 caps a day and they're only 50mg. If I take 2G's a day I'll be broke.
