Yes, Yes I have. It's definitely one of the most introspective, and self-qusetioning things I've ever gone through. I wondered why this happened to me; Why wasn't I good enough; etc. etc
I was completely broken by it and felt absolutely worthless for a time.

When I was younger my girlfriend went away for a "girls weekend".
a few days after she got home I found a letter saying she slept with 8 guys over that girls weekend.
Well I got mine back on her.
I slept with her two best friends at once.
So she lost me and her 2 closest friends.

As a retired Marine, the 2nd clip is a situation all too familiar to me. I got married a year into my 2nd enlistment, and was married 7 years. I'd be deployed 9 months, so I'd only see my wife 3 months a year tops. We talked on the internet when we could, but for the most part due to the nature of my MOS, I was on the field more times than not...so communicating with her didn't happen often. Fast forward to 2013, when I EAS'd due to injury. Got all the commendations that come with saving the lives of 3 fellow Marines in the process of fuckin' my own shit up. I come home a civilian again...and we're divorced within a year. Being around her 24/7 I came to realize who she really was...was NOT the woman I married. That woman was a fictional character, the real thing was a greedy, narcissistic, self-important Karen with a superiority complex. And I'm almost certain she cheated on me...though I never found proof. Didn't matter in the end, within 3 or so months of being home for good...I wanted out, and by 2014 I was a single man again. Gave her everything...the house, one of the two cars, the dog...I needed to be free of her. I packed all of my shit into my van and drove my ass from Florida back to my hometown of The Bronx and never looked back. To this day, when I come in contact with a new recruit or a young Marine I tell them "If the Corps wanted you to have a wife, they'd issue you one."

Arguably the most disgusting woman I have ever seen, and I have seen some real 'winners'... What's worse is they genuinely believe they are justified and in the right. That they are some victim of trauma and mistreatment while they fuck other men while their husband is risking his life for her on the field. I know not all women are like this, but I have rarely seen a man be so callous and delusional about cheating on someone.

I retired from military service after 22 years in 2012. I started out 8 years in the U.S. Navy, and 14 years in the U.S. Air Force. The second video is all too familiar to me seeing fellow sailors and airmen getting "Dear John" letters from their girlfriends, or wives, only to be cheated on. I was responsible for people under me, and sometimes had to help with counseling. The average person has no idea that we will be gone on training, and active duty deployments, for whatever period of time. You are right to point out how so many women pursue relations with a military man blindly. I have never married, had children, or a serious relationship. That is because of how busy I was with military duties, as well as getting a college degree. I now have a four year degree, along with a sound military retirement, and a great civilian career with FedEx. The military has also taken me around the world twice, and I could not be happier.

    • @zerstorer335
      @zerstorer335 4 дні тому +1

That’s why I like to say folks like us were “married to the service” because there are things that can make it like a marriage to a person. It’s not just your 9-to-5 job. You’re in a relationship with an entity that will influence how you exercise, how you eat, how often you go to the doctor, what kind of hobbies you have, and where you live before we even start talking about things that pull us away like deployments.
It is WAY more than a job, and, like you say, a lot of people honestly have no idea what they’re getting into. They think it will be like marrying someone who works at a local business and it’s not. Things like dual-careers are much harder to handle when one of you can be transferred across the globe.
And then there are also those predatory types who do know what’s going on and are deliberately trying to game the system.

I also suggest when you do start dating filter out the a'holes and look for the sort of guys most put in the "friend zone" as most of them are far more decent guys. One last point. Figured she broke her phone by accident (she'd done it before). It wasn't till the letters stopped I got the feeling something was up. Came home to find out she left the state with another man, and had called my sister to look after the house till I got home. Since my sister had neither my new phone number or my mailing address and didn't want to break it to me while I was training, I didn't find out for sure till the day after I came home. I never did find out why she left, just that she packed all her shut and bounced.

As a war veteran, military men and women can also be cheaters. If you want to serve your country, don't enlist! Go and raise a family. Most of the operational deployments these days are to steal or control another nations assets. This is neither brave, nor honourable. Politicians and their sponsors are getting wealthy beyond belief on our blood, sweat, and tears. They will hand out ribbons with bits of metal, but is that what your life, or limb is worth?

He busted his ass in a factory for 16 years till he got injured but while he was working my mom drank, popped pills, spent tens of thousands of dollars of his(she didn't work) and she stole birthday card money, new years eve money from me and my 2 brothers, lied to the church we were in that HE was spending all the money and got money from them. Then when he finds out she took another morgage on the house(by forging his signature) he tried to prove it but no one would take the case cause they said he would lose. Needless to say he left but my mother would "ground" us when he was going to visit after the divorce. He couldn't do anything legally even with the signature and to top it all off if me or my brothers would call her on out on her lies she would hit us with a broom, call the cops and/or kick us out(got thrown out when I was 16) funny thing was the police, courts and church believed my mom. When I was in the 82nd as a young SGT we returned from 7 months in Iraq from the initial push into the country. One of our Soldiers in my platoon came home to an empty house, not like just wife and kids gone but everything except his clothes gone. She was supposed to pick him up but had to have another Soldier drop him off at home. She had also on top of taking all his possessions drained every single one of their bank accounts and maxed out his credit cards. She did the last 2 things while we were traveling home since he could not check on anything. We ended up having to put the dude on murder watch... literally confine him to the barracks under guard to ensure he didn't go off and kill her. At least 2 times he had to be held down to keep him there. And this dude had retard strength even when he wasn't pissed.

The worst part about the Military husband getting cheated on is that while he was away on deployment, the thought of his wife waiting for him at home is what drives him to stay alive and do whatever it takes to make it back home! Going through HELL, seeing things he'll never forget, praying he'll be able to make it home to his wife.. And this is his reward.. It takes a special kind of evil to do something like that to someone, especially someone you say you "love"

And when I left Walter Reed to come back home, my house was completely empty except for my uniforms and gear. My girlfriend took everything I owned and said she couldn't be with a gimp, But she could use my belongings. Females can be the coldest creatures on earth when perfection is not part of the picture! Not to say all females are the same, but society has definitely made perfection the standard. Even when you risk your life for total strangers, and people who can't defend themselves. I 100% agree that the 40s and the 50s were the greatest generation. Back when you died being married to the same person for 60 years. And everyone was patriotic. And values, morals, pride, loyalty, friends, family, and marriage were the way of life for "Americans"!!!!

I pulled a soldier in from an eight story window where he was trying to end his life. So sad. Many of these men were returning from rough overseas assignments, working hard to put bread on the table and support his dependents, to include an unfaithful wife. Sometimes the only thing that kept these guys going was the hope of reuniting with a devoted and grateful wife. My heart went out to these poor soldiers and I came to despise these horrible women.

A very good friend of mine joined the US Marines right out of high school. His whole life, he wanted to be a Marine. He wanted to serve. I know he had romantic ideas about the military and adventures he would have, but he genuinely wanted to be a Marine. Eventually, he was stationed in Hawaii. He met a girl and they got married. Some time after, I do not know how soon this began, she started harassing him. I don't know what caused it and I am sure there were things each did that angered the other. One evening they got into a fight and John chose to leave rather than allow the situation to progress to something worse than yelling. As he went out the door, he said something to the effect of "Sometimes you make want to strangle you." When he returned, he got arrested by the MPs. His wife had reported him. I'm not sure what the charges were and I do not know what the process was, but John was forced out of the Marine Corps. His entire life was turned upside down, he lost everything and his dream was taken away. He tried to get on with his life. He tried finding another woman. Eventually, he committed suicide. This reminded me of two different Soldiers I deployed with in 04-05. The first told us a couple of months his that his wife was pregnant with their first child. A little later, he told us the estimated due date, 11 months after we left. The second one re-enlisted and his wife admitted to using his bonus to buy her "friend" a new car.

It is. And for me, it completely ruins the relationship because you question the sincerity of EVERYTHING that person said or did with and for you. Every hug, every kiss, every 'I love you', every gift given. At least if things end amicably, you can look back on the good times you had together with fondness. Cheating taints those memories irreparably, making the entire relationship a complete and utter waste of the most valuable and finite resource we have: Time. And it just leaves you feeling so empty and lost.
Even if you've fallen out of love, it blows my mind that someone can do that to somebody they once claimed to care about. Cheaters are rotten, selfish, cowardly, and immature people through and through. And they'll probably never change.

It is horrible how often this happens! My hubs was in the Navy for 20 yrs, it was hard, lonely, & very stressful. ( 2 weeks after his first deployment the Gulf War broke out) There were at least 5 guys from his ship that had wives show up preg., and with divorce papers. And, of course, there were some vis versa. The Navy was already a part of his life, so, as you’ve said bf, “I knew what I was getting myself into, kinda”. We went through 3 “cruises”- 6 months or more- training and revamping weapons, for which they went away for. It was extremely hard on our kids..got very close with the family in laws, & we supported each other from across country. All of the things you wished on the cheaters are actually not extreme enough. The PSTD some of them came back with, alone is bad enough, but what these women do just tears them down more. Men, you are worth more & deserve more. Don’t settle. You are a prize! My hubs & I will be celebrating 32 yrs of “ cheat-free” marriage next month. Roma, keep spreading the love! 👻🍍

Only thing that is worth nice house, high dollar car, etc are women that are virgins, that respect themselves and are loyal to just one guy. All the others have diminishing values especially once they hit 30 yo and fall out of their prime. Guys like me that wants to have a family dont look at women that are 30 yo we look at 20 - 25 to give us time to vet the woman, date them and still have time to start a family. Once 30 hits its borrowed time for having kids, once 35 hits then its a rapidly closing window as natural pregnancy gets harder at a increasing rate till shops out of business by 45.

Disappeared on me for 3 weeks out of nowhere, and came back with divorce papers 3 weeks later she wanted us to sign “just in case”. I tried to get her to go to marriage counseling after that. She came back and cleared the house out of everything with a friend and left our engagement ring while I was on duty at the barracks. Eventually had to get NCIS involved. They came back with I was her 3rd husband, they had proof she was definitely cheating on me with 2 other people and maybe 8 others past that. There is a lot more to that story but that’s the cliff notes.

I'm a volunteer firefighter, and truth be told, finding out that my now ex fiance was cheating on me had messed me up more than seeing two close friends of mine die in an accident. Honestly, I've gotten used to that feeling of not being good enough because the girl I was with before her had done the same thing. And some people see me as a firefighter and tell me to just straighten up and tough it out, but most of them I feel like doesn't know what it feels like to lose everything in just a matter of a few minutes, the feeling of being loved and cared for by someone who isn't your family, someone you want to make a part of your family, then to find out that she is sleeping around with another guy and doesn't care about you. That'll break down any man. Especially if that's the only person that made you feel like anything other than someone that they are just using so they won't be lonely for the next week till the guy they want is available. I raised my ex's son who I knew wasn't mine after she cheated. I took care of him from birth till he was 15, we divorced when he was 1. She treated me like the bad guy every single day even though the real dad wanted nothing to do with them. I have shared custody, pay child support and get shit on every single day for trying to do the right thing. It's beyond hard to deal with. To genuinely love a child and treat them as your own and to have his mother shit on you non stop for 15 years till he no longer sees you as Dad anymore is beyond heart breaking. I'll never understand why a woman would want to take love away from her child, it's beyond comprehension for me.

I don't know how it's done in the US but here if you raise a child you have a RIGHT to see them until they're 18 years old, then it becomes a matter of the child itself if he wants tto see you. He was 15 when you got separated from each other so he's old enough to understand. As soon as he leaves his mom to live on his own try to find out where he lives and write him a letter and explain everything that happend. Everything! Even the fact that you're not his biological father but you cared, loved and raised him untill he was 15 and that you still care and love him now. It's worth a shot...

Took his girl back after she cheated (with his best friend) and left him for a few months, now he's back with her after I assume she came crawling back and now he's raising his friend's kid... ironically I think it's a lot of traditionally minded guys who end up doing this, or guys without much dating experience. They fall in love with the first girl they Fck and they get stuck on her, or they don't have many other options so they set aside their pride and forgive her so they can go back to having a girlfriend (having a steady source of sex). I'm a guy and I've been cheated on, but I think it's because I'm not desperate that I could never bring myself to forgive a girl afterwards. I won't lie and claim that I've never been heartbroken, but I also have self-respect. If a girl doesn't respect me enough not to fck other guys, then I don't love her enough at that point to stay with her. And I'd be damned if I ever found myself raising another man's kid, not knocking OP here but yeah I'm sorry I do naturally lose a little respect for men in that situation (including my brother)

Women, and their divorce lawyers fight this so it will never pass, especially in my state.
Due to guys trying to ditch financial responsibility in divorce for adopted kids, paternity means NOTHING once you sign the divorce agreement, you are responsible for any children you signed for.
A guy found out his last kid was NOT his (Pennsylvania) and tried to get out from under. The courts said "No way!" and he lost in Federal Court too.
Not till just 18 too. He signed for four years of college. Courts were "Nope, tough luck". He signed on the dotted line.

He didn't do nothing that day. He came home a couple days later when she wasn't there and took all of her clothes threw them in the front yard and set them on fire. He was arrested by MPs and confined to barracks and got to continue living in housing even though he proved what she did. It was military housing.

That first woman spitting vitriol at her boyfriend for ripping up the flooring, after she cheated on him. As a society we have heard so many stories of women who found out their guy cheated on them going to town on their stuff. Throwing their stuff out the window, destroying their belongings (the more important it is or the sentimental value it has, the better), setting their clothes on fire, smashing up their car, selling/rehoming beloved pets, smashing up their car. When that happens, men are just supposed to grin and bear it because we brought it on ourselves, while women in general cheer her on. Look how quickly the reverse happens when the shoe is on the other foot.
