  • The new M9 coil for the Manticore will be a big hit im certain as it fills lots of criteria.
Great winkling ability and boy do i mean great.
But being 9" it has decent coverage too, it actually has great depth, as in more than you would expect for its size.
Great for getting in tight spaces such as around the bottom of trees, at the side of walls, in between bushes and foliage etc, rape stubble and stubble in general around and in between rocks and big pebbles on beaches.
Its a perfect size for underwater detecting as well.
Im sure you get the gist 🙃🙃 ive really enjoyed testing this one and like i say ive tested it to the hilt for nearly a year now 💪

Hi Shaune sorry for the late reply 🙏 i dont use a Minelab spade, i use a Motley spade now.
Before i got a Motley i used a Spear and Jackson garden spades with plastic handle and cut to shape with a grinder. Never had any snap or bend.

So go take a look at my community tab, I converted the M11 coil 2 days before Minelab released the M9. I think I like mine much more.

Ive had a look Gary, Gordon Heratige was the first to do it. He did the same years ago with an 11" Ctx coil to make it easier to go through stubble. I was holding the coil for him while he cut the spokes out, he slipped off as he was doing it and cut my finger 🖕 luckily not off 🤣
You can do it with Equinox coils too.

    Brill mate.
I've just got a manticore, been out once .
The equinox was my favourite machine and just getting the hang of the Deus 2.
A couple of questions if you don't mind.
On the nox I used to reject -9 and -8 to loose the ground noise (bom bom) but still hear iron. I know you may not approve but it really helped me identify iron. Is there a way of doing this on the manticore?
Also with the deus2 I have been using pitch audio (similar to "depth" on the manticore) It absolutely bangs the really tiny targets and good for identifying iron. Have you experimented with "depth" on the manticore?. I had a quick go and similar to the xp it banged the air gun pellets and tiny stuff.sorry if a bit long winded and many thanks in advance.
I also try to save as many worms as possible my friend 😊

If you want rid of the bom boms turn your ferrous volume to zero or to 1 or 2 really quiet bom boms 😀
On the Equinox turn t2 to zero or to 1.
