Coffee.....cookies....minelab videos....watching 70% of a lake being dredge by you by hand.....what has my life come to?

70% is a low number, my body felt more like 80-90%

That blows! Guy finds a gold ring you find squat. I'm starting to think it all blind luck. Being in the right place right time. I've spent thousands on different detectors different coils. Maybe I'm just unlucky. What detector was he using ?

It is blind luck for the most part, you have to get your coil over it. He was using the Nox 900. Last season I had the luck hunting w/him. This year, I have some catching up to do.

Awesome video! I have a question. I just purchased a manticore and was wondering if i detect in water will the coil fill up with water? do i need to remove the coil cover to dry it. I believe it snaps on?was wondering if water and sand will affect it. Thanks

You don't need to remove the coil cover for water hunting but I would recommend taking it off and spraying down the coil and cleaning the cover. If you don't, over time sand will build up and impact the performance.

Honestly, how much difference is there between the m8 and m9? I am having a hard time justifying a purchase when I have the m8.

I have the M9 it's nothing special. The M8 is just as good. I use small coils less digging more accurate. I really like the Deus 2 9 inch coil. I really think the Deus 2 is light years ahead of the Manticore whole different league.

They both have their purpose. I prefer the M9 right now but the M8 will have its place in really trashing or iron conditions to get that extra separation. I would probably use the M8 river hunting as well.

@@mradobo3935 I have heard some people say that and others who have both machines say the Manticore is way better. I think it is mostly which machine you are comfortable enough with to really learn it. It also depends on where and what you are detecting mostly.
